- This World Dance Day we are delighted to bring to you first of it’s kind Choreographers Conference featuring the greatest of all time - Ganesh Acharya, Remo D'Souza, Bosco Martis, Kruti Mahesh and Vijay Ganguly from the Bollywood film industry.
The conference is focused on recognising the contributions of choreographers in Bollywood film industry, strengthen and unite the community and to create awareness in the present and upcoming generation of choreographers.

I often find it disappointing when choreographers aren't properly credited in music video credits. Unfortunately, it's a common occurrence that their names are missing, making it challenging to acknowledge their contributions. Thanks to Shakti ma'am for bringing all of them together.
The aim of this conference was to highlight the issues choreographers face and to appreciate the efforts they put in. ✨

Frankly of the ppl sitting here i know kriti, shakti, remo, ganesh, bosco bcoz they all came on dance reality shows on tv and not bcoz of their credits given in movies. That just shows how more than half of choreographers are still unrecognised. Had it not been for thse dance tv reality shows hume pata b nhi hota ye log kaun h just like i dont know the last guy sittong there bcoz i never heard or seen his name on any credits ya fir usko kahi tv pe dekha ho. The choreographers have to thank dance tv shows for their ghar ghar ki fame sadly rather than the movies they actually worked for@@NrityaShakti

What's so surprising about this video is that I follow almost every dance reality show and newly released song of every Bollywood movie and i also thought Bosco Caesar was same person . It really shows the reality. And even after he told choreographer not being created , i went upto check few songs which has got awards . Even in those awarded songs there is no name of choreographer like - No name of Ganesh in what jhumka for which he received filmfare awards. These two things are my learning from this video. Thanks Nritya Shakti . Keep doing more such conference.
True that! Even I thought about Naatu Naatu choreographers were not given much recognition. This has to change! Choreographers add more color to a film, music everything. They need to be recognised with music.
this is a new beginning, call it the "Choreographers Roundtable" instead of conference.
Keep doing these roundtables frequently with a blend of new and old choreographers, along with some masti, personal touch, fun facts- Indian and global, new things/dance forms people are trying or learning, and keep it more alive (sorry but little more budget to be added ) and editing has to catch - entry of the guests, how they giggled up in the beginning, their laughing time, a selfie time etc.... I feel THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY JUST LIKE BOSCO SAID, CELEBRATE, AND GLORIFY, share it everywhere, and market it....u will see the change..All the best :)

I am so glad Shakti decided to conduct this discussion session. As an ardent fan of dancing and innovative choreography, I have always looked for the name of the choreographer whenever a dance song comes out on youtube. And it is absolutely true that one doesn’t see their names and that disappoints me. I have immense respect for choreographers because creativity, which is a rare virtue, is their strength and it is high time they come into the limelight.
I’m glad that finally the talks of giving credits to choreographers has begun. Thank you Shakti and all choreographers for coming together and discussing on this important issue seriously. I hope to see the names of all my favorite choreographers in the songs/music videos soon
Completely agree with Bosco. I have always loved dance choreography. If I'm loving a video song I always searched for its choreographer because it's never there in the video credits.

Listening to Bosco sir literally broke my heart. I always recognise his choreographies right away cause it's so unique and the choreography screams "Bosco". I watched Sher khul gaye and ishq jaisa kuch and knew right away that its choreographed by Bosco

I usually look for choreographer name is description and if I don’t see name then I usually comment to mention choreographer name.

This is so great! There should be more and more, more and more gatherings like this. They actually don’t get the respect and appreciation that they deserve for the amazing work they all do. Thank you for doing this. Choreography is the heart of a song and choreographers should get their due credit. After dance reality shows became famous, my father started asking me who the choreographer is for every song which he liked. Unfortunately I had to Google the names to give him the answer. Viewers want to know about the choreographers and every song should celebrate their names.

Having enjoyed all the Bollywood songs since my childhood this was a delight. I would have appreciated if Shakti did a brief introduction by not explicitly calling names but addressing them by names and then kept a text label for them. Please continue these periodic chats/ meets.

Because whenever I see a Great performance I try to look for Choreographer, but most of the time it is not mentioned in Description.

This is so true not just best songs. I search choreographer credit in every dance song. Good or bad. We should know who has choreographed the song!!!!

True ...choreographers are really overlooked ....we dance at these songs and do the hook steps because of them ...they should make an association and file a complaint for their name to be mentioned for all music videos

I have more access to learning about choreographers from k-pop industry, asian, and western choreographers. Indian choreographers are coming up on social media but movies and cinema there are no mentions.

It is really a huge huge issue of not crediting choreographers for Songs in description. I have literally done google search to find out who choreographed songs such as "Ghungaroo toot gaye". That's really bad. I hope to see choreographers name in Video descriptions so that to instantly know on whose steps they are dancing to.
Naatu Naatu became worldwide only because of its choreography, it's not the composition, not the singer, of course not the lyrics but only the choreography.
Prem Rakshith should have been there on the Oscars stage with M. M. Keeravani and Chandrabose.

It was good idea to bring some choreographers together. Yet it was a bit disappointing cause it was not full filling. I felt it wrapped quickly. I was hoping to see some in depth conversation. But something is better than nothing. Nice move Shakti & team. I hope we will see more of this kind of conversation.

You may need to create a choreography bank with credits. Almost like an IMDb for choreography. This will be owned by choreographers, maintained by their teams and give them the credit they deserve.

What does it take to add the choreographer's name in the credits?? That's the least you can do. I also sometimes search the choreographer of the song and i just can't find it
Bosco Sir said it is so correct ... Producers sell music videos through cast , music composers and singers and when the song gets viral it's because of dancing in the song and there is no name on the credits leave it on screen they not even in the description .
