Tito Melendres claro amigo que fue preparado porque no puedes hacer algo arriba del ring a menos que lo practiques y lo perfecciones dia con dia en el gimnasio!!! saludos amigo
can somebody explain this to me. I notice during spar sessions the pros take a lot of shots to the head without much effort to defend (in a real match you never see them get hit that clean). is this done on purpose? like for instance are they trying to see the punches or something? what are they focusing on?
I'd assume it has to do with it being really difficult to see when you have headgear on. For one, it obstructs vision a great deal and two it makes your head a bigger target.
in sparrings they obviously dont go full power, they focus more on what theyre aiming for, counters, head movement, different ranges, techniques, combinations, speed, and like Jordan said, peripheral vision is not too good.
Bigger gloves and the head gear it sounds like youre getting hit solid but its just the sound of the gloves. Real fight it is the glove against the head. Smaller gloves and a bone to hit which not sometimes lands clean due to the neck strength used to receive punches.

on a real fight, you are more sharper because you know you can get hurt with any shot, thats why fights become more strategic in the first rounds
NikeSoccerTennis idk Marquez looked like he was putting his whole body behind that right cross... Both of them were throwing hard shots
