‘If I was twice the man I could be, I’d still be half of what you need’ love that line.
1/4 of a man
That always resonated with me too
That always comes out with a bang
@@load_accumulator fascinating
Just for the record just so you now know that I couldn't believe that you could swoop so low I wrote that line just the fact that line that you love is because I was a kid when I wrote those lines that because Trent didn't write petty hate machine he only wrote the music compose it from my writings he's a brilliant at what he does but my writings is what makes it real
Head like a hole was definitely written for a full band.
The album version just doesn’t do it justice.
Also, it’s pretty cool seeing young Trent/when he wasn’t as ripped as his is now.
I've come across so many NIN fans spending hours splicing songs and shows together and it really just shows how NIN has some of the best fans on earth
i couldn’t agree more
Thanks toTrent releasing his loops and tracks, I learned how to dub and edit in GarageBand...that was cool of him to pay it forward like that.
@@macsnapon where’d he release them?
That’s awesome can’t wait
@@breakingthestitch2507 ninremix.com but it's a dead site now
I may be in the minority but feel Pretty Hate Machine is the album i always come back too the most out of any other NIN album.Just a fantastic album front too back!
It feels like the entire album is meant to be played from beginning to end, both live and listening at home. Then again, I might be biased since my first and (sadly) only time seeing NIN live was at the first Lollapalooza.
its my favourite album
🎵I agree! Saw them doing Pretty Hate Machine at Roseland NYC! Awesome concert favorite album!!!!!!! My EMO music...still! LOL
It’s one of my favorite albums of all time and by far my favorite NIN album. Downward Spiral is probably “objectively” better but PHM was the first album I knew every lyric to and became obsessed with when I was 7-8. It was the first album I heard where I adored every song from start to finish.
It’s a masterpiece for sure, even if it’s a little less mature than his later work.
Same. It is my favorite album from NIN!
"Visceral" is a beautiful word.
God It only just set in what terrible lie actually means.
What m does it mean
@@user-dz1rc4wk2t it’s about blaming god for your pain and suffering. Later in the album the focus shifts inward instead, and trent focuses on his own failures.
@austinclark3495 exactly what I did.
Very cool how seamlessly some of the performances mix even though they're performed like 10-20 years apart
Holy crap ringfinger in good quality?? Ive been looking for this for years.
What kind of version is this?
lol
I remember when Nin played in Buenos Aires in 2007, it was one of the best shows I ever saw. Head like hole. Super danceable song. heavy industrial.
Stellar!
Now I'm Nothing always felt more Broken than PHM to me. That song really needs some sort of official release
@@msp720 You are probably right!
I didn't notice that this was basically just uploaded! Super amazing job. It's so interesting to see each song performed at different moments in time.
Awesome! GREAT JOB putting this together!
Amazing effort man! I saw the Still Can Make Out Pieces concert and I'm gonna watch anything else you put out!
This is brilliantly edited and a real joy for any NIN fan.
I've been saying I wanted a PHM live album for the longest time now, and you did it. Incredible video! Thank you!
Holy shit dude this is fantastic! Thank you for this.
This is well edited. As someone who's seen most all of these performances I can appreciate what went into splicing so much over so long. Great job!
Nice touch adding in Now I’m Nothing and Get Down. I’ve really enjoyed these live NIN album compilations you’ve put together!🙏
Brilliant- thanks for sharing. Too many epic moments to note so I gave up trying to list. Last seconds says it all for how far they would go by challenging the norm and asking those witnesses to agree. Bold.
Incredible!!! Thanks for posting
This is fucking amazing dude!
Thank you so much!
I really loved this!
Pretty great somebody put this whole thing together, even with the more rare songs and the songs from that era that weren’t on the album as well. Those guitar parts in that’s what I get give you a shiver…
You really know the essence of NIN
That VHS quality on some videos! HMMM on point, no kidding it adds a lot to the mix
For me and many others, this channel is the designated NIN time capsule.
That's best version of Sanctified I've heard NIN do.
@@LedZepUltimateFanPage Hahaha... No waaay
The ACL version is good
@@LedZepUltimateFanPage okay so answer me this *"real fan"*
How did the entire band almost meet their untimely end in 1994?
BONUS T OR F:
Trent and a relative appeared on a game show almost two decades ago. Name the relative and game show.
*NO GOOGLING*
@@LedZepUltimateFanPage my point is that you can be a real fan without being a real wet blanket about it.
What exactly rubbed you the wrong way about Ilan's bass guitar play?
@@LedZepUltimateFanPage Pino mostly but llan did do some bass stuff
cheers !
A like just isn’t enough. Seamless. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙏🏻
this was the dopest iteration of NIN. Tension 2013 was unbelievable.
my new fav live show (compilaton of live shows?) amazing performances
As I listen to this now, I can't believe how much I was into NIN when I was younger, and as I listen to it now I can't believe how much I am into it now. Nothing has changed I guess, just FkN awesome!
The rawness of Head like a Hole/Sanctified is incredible! Early NIN was something special back then with the energy and visceral feeling of a live show. Wow! Thanks for the upload dude!
and just when i thought this album couldnt get better.....then i heard it live.
when i wa s run over left for dead i listened to this over over crippled on back loaded on morphine it was ace for such a situation
i took an entire bottle of robo listening to this album every week for a year in high school. it is the ultimate DXM trip.
This is nice thank you
Nice!!! Thank You
Wow, bad ass thanks man!
89 foi uma época gloriosa.
The tension tour was easily one of the best shows I’ve ever seen hands down
To Pirate Stallion, love the Sanctified mix! Awesome stuff. By far my favorite version of the track as well.
Not sure why they don’t play this more.
I feel like most other performances have some other bassist playing a stripped down version with a pick. This guy is plucking away with furious fingers.
The only way to improve it would be if they included that final verse. It's the one that hits the hardest, idk why they removed it for the new live version
Great live shows
That "Newark, pipeline" version of "kind I want to" that full video is awesome!🎹🎸💀💫😵👌 That version of "kind I want to" along with that Night's version of "ringfinger" has Richard Patrick doing a badass guitar outro especially on ringfinger! I had that bootleg on a tape a friend of mine made up for me along with a bunch of other "nothing" artist. Some live Manson, the video for "I am a pig" by "two". A few other ones like the "animal" video by "prick". It was called "2 hours of nothing" He named it. There's also video footage of them live at "The Warfield, SF, CA" in 94 on the self-destruct tour where there's a version of "suck" on there where Robin does this sick Fucking guitar sound during the second verse of "suck".
fucking awesome video. rock on NIN🤘🏽
GREAT !!!
Oh and great fucking job putting this together!1
Love the footage of them covered in mud to match the crowd👍
esse album é incrivel.
this is fucking sickkk thank u for sharing
How many hours did you spend editing this? You knocked this out of the park! Well done!
Oh man, I have no clue. I did one of these for every album, it's hard to say for one specifically 😂 but I had a blast with it!
fucking hell. terrible lie was so fucking good.
Started to feel the chills with "Head like a hole" and grabbed my chest, only to realise I unknowingly had on my Black Mirror NIN t-shirt. Serendipity.
My favorite NIN halo!👍
Very nice
So 🤬 good!!
"I love this"
Ringfinger live!!!🤘😳
wow NIN!!!
walkin past second hand shop they had the 80s computer trent used to make this album for sale in 2020 i wondered if you could make a album like this now on it -someome bought it back then it was macintosh or amiga fukin funny
Nice
I...gave myself away
Now I'm nothing.
“Hey”!!!’
Chingon !!! 👍🏻🤟🏻
💕
Can you do Broken next? Pretty sure all trhe songs were played during the last tour
Already did! I need to make a second pass to fix Wish and HMIAIH but this sill works great for now
czcams.com/video/vleS2A7T2iI/video.html
This is literally “fantastic”!
Where can I get this on dvd because I neeeeed 🙌
Really, ring finger hasn’t been played since the days of shitty VHS? Is there not a way you can smooth the audio on it?
Amazing by the way!!
Additional - you are a legend. This must require not only time and effort- but intimate knowledge of where you can find these super rare tracks! It’s legends like you that are Keeping the NIN community burning bright!!
What the...? At 26:00 more or less, that synth arrangement isn´t straight out "The Knack" from the british band Squeeze? Some Jool Holland's influence there? Love it either way
It's reused from the track Sunspots. A fan favorite track that's never been played outside of rehearsals
@@TheDistressedSetlist Wow, pretty cool, thanks for the info! It does sound a lot like the reference I said, but it's from a 1979 song I think so who knows, maybe just coincidence. Anyway, it fits the song like a glove! Awesome
def 100 down low key bro up zippped out and tight
Did they ever play maybe just once live? That would be the only thing that would Cap this off and make it 100%, maybe also some better tape quality and ring finger, jus sayin. I don’t care about purest feeling, that song is a studio joke to me and I think it is to Trent
They played Maybe Just Once and Twist at this date (the *only* audio source for either song live) but there was no video recording of either, and the audio quality was fairly poor, so I left them both out. As for Ringfinger, I searched through every 88-91 live source. That was the best quality, video and audio. Downloaded the source directly from Reflecting In The Chrome
ninlive.com/shows/1988/19881031.html
the really first shows footage on bad video is ace man how do u find it some these fan videos really dug deep halfbarely work but look ace all screwed up suits the music fuk phones this is better
16:15 argentina
This video is awesome man, but I just have one small complaint. You really shouldn’t have cut out the transition for now I’m nothing into terrible lie, thats just my opinion tho, no hate lol.
There was no way to keep it. That recording of Terrible Lie is the best professionally recorded one there is, I was always going to use it, but it didn't have that kind of transition, and attempting to help that transition and crossfade into that recording really didn't work. I know what you mean, though. If it had worked then this would be perfect.
@@TheDistressedSetlist ahhh ok. That make sense since u we’re doing the best recordings. Great work tho man, loved it
👵
Schade... Leider nur eine Zusammenstellung und kein Konzert der pretty hate machine Tour 91... Aber cool
