I've been wanting to express my goth since I was 10 and my dad, ex husband, and other exes have always hated it so I had to dress a different way. Now I'm single with friends that love me for me and I can finally wear what I want! My wardrobe is full of lace, pentacles, darkness, and classiness. Now that I can express myself and be free I'm so much happier and more fun to be around. Never let anyone change you. Embrace the darkness to be happy!
That's how my life is in but with my mom (aka aunt). I'm currently 12 and I have a handful of goth things /emo/grunge and my aunt absolutely hates it. She thinks it's satanic which I'm going for. (That wasn't to offend any Satanist) So I'm just waiting till 8th grade were I can wear whatever I want without being criticized.

I'm 13 and desperate to express myself. My mom got me black nail polish and a black T-shirt, but that's it. And I had to beg her for the nail polish, she'd laugh at my face if I mention that I want black lipstick. She hates the idea of wearing mostly black and called me out when I put on just black for ONE day. A nightmare.
@@tnt1824 that sucks, i’m really sorry. it took forever for my parents to come around, and now they love it. my first suggestion would be to just give them time to understand. show them the things you’re interested in and make them change their minds. they can’t force you to be someone you’re not.

Jenna Louise I feel really uncomfortable In any color other than black because I hate them,I feel good in dark purple or dark red but in like white I wanna cry my black little heart LITERALLY hurts
I really like how you created a wardrobe from affordable shops like H & M, NEXT, Zara, Primark, Boohoo, etc... Many of the videos I have found about dressing goth involve the more expensive and pricey "Goth" brands. Thank you for showing a financially sensible way to create a Gothic wardrobe.
For anyone wanting to try pastel goth i would advise wearing pastel accessories with mainly black clothes bc the contrast is great and it flows a lot better that half dark half pastel block sections of your outfit😊
I have soooo many leather, lace, velvet, fishnet and net things! Just about all of them are from charity shops, so you can get a lot for not much money. I found a real leather trench coat for £15 in one once! I love doing diy as well ^_^
Love your videos but just advice to listeners: you don't have to love the fashion to be "goth". I personally do but it's a preference not a requirement.
I'd add a tip for those of you having trouble finding fishnet shirts. You can take a pair of fishnet stockings, which, at least in the US, are more easily obtainable, and cut a hole in the crotch area. (Oh the jokes you can make with that...) This becomes the area where you insert your head and the legs become the arms. You can then play around with what type of arms/gloves you want by adapting it as you wish. Old school trick I learned back in the 90s.
For anyone looking for a black hair dye suggestion: I'm not sure if you can get it in the UK, but Clairol Natural Instincts is great. It's a demi-permanent dye, so it's not harsh or drying, and it fades/softens instead of giving you harsh roots; this works well for me since I have medium brown hair anyway, so it's not super obvious when I haven't dyed my hair in a while. Most people are shocked to find out my hair isn't naturally black.
I'm really glad I found this video! Also, never been so happy to be in the UK and have half a million Primarks and H&M's near me. I find a lot of nice things in there, too.
I love the goth style but most I see are just too hardcore and serious for me. Your style is definitely something I could do. I have a belt just like the one at 11:20
Great video! Boohoo.com, H&M, Primark and charity shops are the main way I build my wardrobe. Then the occasional splurge on things like corsets and nicer shoes, it does take time! The main thing is not be afraid of getting it wrong and to just experiment. Second hand shops are great for that!
this is the first video of yours ive watched but I am so happy to find someone who gets their goth clothes from ebay and the high street! so reassuring as I am limited with money aha subscribed!

I honestly don't like going all black most of the time. I prefer to contrast it with another, more vibrant color. Black, green, purple and red are my dominant colors, though I'm wanting to integrate a little more pink (pastel, not hot pink) and magenta into my wardrobe. Blue is also there, but mostly present in my denim jackets and shorts/pants. I love denim stuff. Also plaid. Like, that plaid bag you held up is just amazinggg!! :3
I can relate to this! I feel extremely uncomfortable when I wear colors. I was a metalhead for years, tried wearing less black for a few months, but recently got into goth. And god, what a relief, I can finally wear black clothes again!
This was a really great video! I love Dark purple, reds, dark greens, and of course I love pink(it's my fave after black. I love them together.), so this gives me a good idea of how to mix and match.
I'm really in love with your style! It's inspired me a lot with implementing 80's gothic into my own style and I love it! I'd love to see more fashion videos from you Snowy :))
I like to buy my stuff second hand rather than "off the peg," but this is very similar to what I wear. So I like goth stuff, and I'd like my room to be purple and black, but I also love Disney and stuffed animals and I tend to leave my stuffed animals all over the house. Would that be okay, or should I put them in a bin somewhere?
I feel like if you're going to eat the animal anyways, why would you just throw away the leather. It seems like a waste. So cow leather, pig leather, chicken feathers etc, seem like it should be fine if you're using the whole animal. I don't agree with killing an animal just for their coat or leather though, that just seems like a waste as well, such as foxes.
Rae Fleurs How do you make vegan leather //if you're going to kill animals for meat anyway, don't just throw away the other stuff. That pollutes areas and causes even MORE animals to die :/
I'm 13 and I'm goth. To be blunt. But my mum won't let me wear any fishnet or lace as she says I look like a tart and I feel like I can't express myself. do you have any suggestions please?
You got no jams try to show her or explain to her it doesn't make you look like a tart (as log as your shorts aren't too short, same with skirts this will only show her that she's right) my mother does the same so give it some time and try to simply show her you can wear those things without looking like a hooker. 😊

Vegan leather ;^; don't harm animals in the process
👍 yeah
I feel like if you're going to eat the animal anyways, why would you just throw away the leather. It seems like a waste. So cow leather, pig leather, chicken feathers etc, seem like it should be fine if you're using the whole animal. I don't agree with killing an animal just for their coat or leather though, that just seems like a waste as well, such as foxes.
Rae Fleurs How do you make vegan leather //if you're going to kill animals for meat anyway, don't just throw away the other stuff. That pollutes areas and causes even MORE animals to die :/
Let them do what they want
I'm 13 and I'm goth. To be blunt. But my mum won't let me wear any fishnet or lace as she says I look like a tart and I feel like I can't express myself. do you have any suggestions please?
You got no jams try to show her or explain to her it doesn't make you look like a tart (as log as your shorts aren't too short, same with skirts this will only show her that she's right) my mother does the same so give it some time and try to simply show her you can wear those things without looking like a hooker. 😊
i am 16-17 wait till collage or when you move out..start to dress, live how u want to
Can you make a goth haul for what you think goth guys should wear
with band t-shirts it sounds so metalhead because it is more metal music fans thing😅 and also leather and boots😅
Do you have any recommendations for plus-sized people? I wore a knit top and a knit skirt yesterday, and I looked like a black ball with legs.
