A very unsual interview and deep questions from the interviewer (he sounded like an intelligent Cure admirer). The Top is The Cure's most underrated album, I feel... in some respects it is more interesting than the follow-up 'Head on the Door.' I have seen The Cure 7 times and once at the Hammersmith Apollo they played the entire Top album.
So the 5 Cures were- 1st album with Dempsey; Seventeen Seconds four piece; Pornography trio; The essentially duo based The Top era; The 5 piece Head on the Door band. I essentially lost interest in them after The Top, so more informed individuals than me can almost certainly correct my chronology.
Robert Smith had the knack at making a dark day beautiful. His music has always stood out against the commercial popcorn for the happy masses
Robert has such a brilliant mind. I can never tire of hearing him speak
Thanks for watching and commenting
Surprisingly intelligent questions directed at Robert
I've always liked Bob Smith. Lullaby is one my favourite Cure songs.
What a great body of work, shame when you only hear the same three songs on the radio over and over
HE'S SO HANDSOME AHHH
Great interview, very thoughtful. I’ve always liked Robert Smith.
Thank you for this.
❤️🌹❤️Robert❤️🔥I❤️🔥will❤️🔥always❤️🔥love❤️🔥you❤️🔥❤️🌻❤️
Love The Cure. Very interesting watch and nice learning more about Robert.
Great interview, thank you !!! Seventeen Seconds is one of my first records in 1980 and one of my favorites to this day.
He's just a musician. A great.
All my respects for Robert Smith & The Cure. You are still welcomed in France. Love your songs since I was a teenager ! I grew up with your music ❤
Normal service resumed! Thought you'd gone nuts when you uploaded that Darkness video.
I know, but The Darkness recording was at hand, so I decided to let it go. I don't expect to ever release any more from them.🙂
@@ScottishTeeVee Ha, just joking. There's bound to be someone who likes them!
Far too often Robert outclasses the person interviewing him. But not here. Very good job.

good questions, and of course, good answers as always from Smithy
Agreed with the other comments, great interview. Credit to the interviewer (?). Which studio were they in?

Does anyone know which broadcast/channel that logo in the upper right corner belongs to?
