- Hi, this is the Yonsei University Dorm Room Tour at the Songdo, Yonsei University International Campus. Every Yonsei University student has to spend their freshman year here, so wanted to show what a typical triple room would be like. I'll be showing my room and some dorm areas here like the kitchen, laundry, and common room.

Thanks ☺️ The deposit is 100,000 KRW (around 100 USD) and the triple rooms is 956,000 KRW (around 880 USD) per semester (which is around 4 months.)
@@JoannaPinsuvana Do you have to pay the dorm fee per month or pay the whole fee for the semester in advance?

hello I want to ask can we choose roommates in the dormitory? like we want to share a room or roommates with our friends in faculty?
Hello sister! Can we change roommates if we are friends but in a different room and our friend is in a room with someone else and how much of cost room for two people per month? And how much single room per month?
Did you matriculate in the spring or fall semester? When did you have to move to korea/move into your dorm?

Hi, there's actually some space under the single bed (where you can move the drawers) and next to the desks, but as seen there isn't that much space so you have to keep that in mind.
Hello! Loved this dorm tour♡ I have a doubt as you have mentioned about this in a comment,can an international student be in sk global dormitory? Or is the dorm available only for exchange students? Hoping for the reply🤗
Hi, from what I know, the dorm is mainly for exchange and I do think they also get priority. I do think that international students are able to apply though, I think that you should try to look at the site and maybe email the school about this too.

hello! question - do you remember when you needed to arrive in Korea? how early do you need to check into the dorms for spring semester?
There should be information about when the dorms are open for people to check in after being assigned to a room. The earlier you arrived on the day, though, will let you choose your bed and spot in the room. You can probably email or check the dorm website for the specific timeline. I had to arrive earlier due to it being the time of quarantine. There is no quarantine required now.
Hi, I just got accepted into the fall 2021 semester and the school has yet to sent any information regarding housing etc, but I just want to ask if it's possible to get the same room with my friend or the housing system is completely random?

Hii is it compulsory for every new international students to live in songdo dormitory? Or can they apply for sk global or international housing dormitory??
All first year students in Yonsei have to live in the international campus their first year and depending on their majors, can move to the Sinchon campus.
Is this dorm 1 or 2?
Wait you go to UIC in Chicago? Or am I confused aaaa I’m n incoming freshmen and definitely gonna try to apply for study abroad at yonsei for spring 2022 when should I start the processs?
UIC stands for “Underwood International College” which is one of the schools in Yonsei University. I’m sorry, I don’t really know information about for other schools to come to Yonsei for study abroad.
Thanks for the video! :) I was wondering whether the international dorm is more international than SK Global? I am not sure to which I should apply... I am a student from germany and would like to be a dorm where most people are not Korean and speak english ...just because I imagine it is easier to make friends :)
Also what is it like to live in a dorm now with the pandemic...do you have strict rules for how many people can be in the kitchen for example? And generally, were you able to meet people and make friends? :)
Hi, SK Global is full of internationals too and that’s where mostly exchange students are. The international campus is where all Yonsei freshmen stay their first year so they’ll be a lot of internationals too.
Yes, there are stricter rules now due to covid. We just aren’t allowed to eat at the kitchen anymore. I still hang out with my friends in the dorms or I just go out and we hang outside. It was great going to dorms since that’s how I made a lot of friends.

Hello. I am a mother and asking for my son who will attending this Fall 2021. Is there a microwave in the room? a water heater, bed sheets/pillows or does the student have to bring these items themselves. If I ask you what a new student should bring, can you give me an idea? We are from the US and so we have to purchase most of the items in Korea. Thank You so much.
Hello, so there is a common room which there will be microwaves, fridges, and hot water which all people in dorms will share. Students will have to bring their own bedsheets and pillows to the dorms as they only provide the furniture. I would say to bring the basic nessecities to last for a bit (towels, soap, etc.), but you can purchase the rest once you arrive, since it will be more clear on what to have in dorms.

If you received a scholarship, it will probably give you the description of what you need or don’t need to pay. I think that if you just got an academic scholarship, you would still need to pay the dorms. I’m not too sure, so please double check!

What’s a ramen maker?
A thing where you put your ramen and got water. If the ramen are done, you just put the cover on the thing where are the ramen in and then you just rinse the water out. Sorry I'm not that good at explaining but I hope I could help you :)
Is it true that every freshman in Yonsei have to live in Seongdo campus first, even their college is based on Seoul campus? Thx sm😻
Yes all Yonsei students are required since there’s a requirement called RC, which you’ll learn about it you join. It basically are activities for students to bond together.

Hi, no, there is no entrance exams. I think only if you’re a Korean then there’s the college entrance exam, but for UIC there’s only the application.
