  • We are just going to call it location X... First off, Yes its Florida... 2nd we just call it Location X. This is a local wheeling area and can be a bit off camber, hilly, and washed out. There are plenty of hints to figure out where we are, but thats all part of the game. I have to do some digging to find this place. If you go please be respectful and don't leave trash anywhere. Wheel at your own risk.... HAVE A SPOTTER!!!!!!

Those shift cable bushings are definitely a design flaw. I carry a couple of extras in my glove box for both sides. The transmission side is a booger to get in without heating it up to get it super soft, so as most jeep owners know, zip-ties and a small roll of wire are your friends..

I spent my high school years wheeling there! Love that place!

It is one of the coolest places - we try to keep it low key. So many places that I grew up wheeling in are now developed.

I spent middle school through high school, camping, riding motorcycles in those woods. (75-82) Thank you so much for keeping this place quiet. I consider it home. ✌🏻

@@FloridaJeepRides I bet! Took my mostly stock XJ into the one pit with the rocky section years ago. That was my exit! There was only 2 rocks barely exposed and about 3 feet of sand covering the rest. Trails are always changing out there.

I was on a trail ride last month and one of the Jeeps had the same shift cable malfunction you had. We were able to make a trail repair with a zip tie and we continued on.

I try to remember to shift softly... I would like to find a better solution for this repair.

@@FloridaJeepRides I remember seeing someone make a fix on theirs using a metal clip of some sort but at the time I didn’t think that problem affected me so I didn’t really pay attention. Since then I’ve had to replace mine. Lol

I remember that place. I was going to do an obstacle and it took four pastors and a wife to stop me. Then I got out of sight of all of you and found an even sketchier thing to do that I had a choice to make, loose the passenger mirror or roll drivers side in a ravine, or maybe both. I lost the mirror, made the obstacle and got chewed out. It was a great time, 10 out of 10 I'd recommend.
Seeing the Rivian out there is great. Glad to see it used in the wild, not just the mall parking lot.
You can order those bushings to keep in your parts box.
Bison burger is the best thing at the Burger Station.
I lost the the drivers side mirror in Citrus the same day. LOL...... It was soooo much fun.

I purchased three of those nylon bushings. I keep two in my Jeep and one in my 4x4 Honda Element Jeep. Just in case!

Most of the easy stuff would be fine. Sugar sand will get you in Florida... and mud.
