If you pay for excellent condition, scratches are not what you are supposed to get. Excellent is supposed to be like new. I ordered excellent and my phone was disgusting. Gunk in the speaker and scratched up.
There is a tier above excellent I believe. but it also could depend on where you are as well in terms of the condition. I usually just aim around fair to excellent though due to the cheaper price. Great follow up though.

I'll take it to apple to replace the battery. I will say tho, when customizing the product underneath it will say "refurbished by (name) click on it and look at their clients review sometimes a fair condition can come delivered to you in good or excellent condition.
Good condition always best option it’s cheaper than excellent condition and it will always be better than fair and if it’s not in good condition they have a 12 year warranty plus customer service is pretty good
