If you want to change the world or make even the slightest change, you're going to need to overcome some obstacles. I'm not even sure this could be considered an obstacle. The university refusing to change their rules and protocols regarding meal plans is not depriving them of food in any way. To describe it as starving them out is ridiculous, disingenuous, and irresponsible.
It's one thing for some spoiled kids to complain, it's a totally different for a "journalist" Bri to describe in the matter she chose to.
Is it even reasonable to expect the establishment these students are protesting against to change their protocols and make it easier or more convenient for the students while the do it?
As long as they aren't being destructive, just leave them be. Their meal plans will be up in a couple weeks and they'll go home. Then Bri can really say they were starved out, because education should be free, and so should room and board. So if you really think about it, they were starved out.

The meal plan is being cited because it is literally a contractual obligation for students to be provided (not delivered as Robbie is saying) food. It's being cited as reason for the university to not deny food entry. Full stop. Do oppose food entering? I'm sure many of them would go without food *if they had to* but why do that unless your purposefully engaging in hunger strike? If they did that, would you support them? Whereas demanding food be allowed to enter is worthy of scorn? I'm sure you think you're pro-protestor, but you really don't sound like it....

@@jayware4219That's good to know now. However, I believe OP's point is that she made her statement without that knowledge. She said she didn't know the extent to which people had tried bringing food in and to what extent anyone had tried to stop them. If she knew any specific examples like you stated, she clearly would've stated it. She called it humanitarian aid, which is a clear attempt (whether or not it was a conscious attempt) to draw a parallel to the denial of aid to those in Gaza. I think the attacks need to be stopped, but people like this aren't helping. They're making a mockery of the cause and providing an easy target for those who disagree to point to and say "look how dumb these people who support Palestine are." There is no need to defend everyone who you agree with on the overall issue when it comes to all the little things they do and say. In fact, it would better serve the cause to be willing to say that you agree with her about the issue overall but think this was silly. It adds credibility. Extremely easy to dismiss people like her and she did nothing but hurt the cause here. The only people who aren't laughing at her are people who are already very firmly in agreement with her. Further galvanizing support from those people is not what's needed, bringing more people onto this side of the issue is what's needed
