FYI: Once I'm a bit more familiar with the tool myself, I will make a 2nd video on the actual gameplay - let me get some practice first

@@bitzelberg I took the guide and I am trying the monthly CMD subscription from Manatraders. League had 170 players active last weekend and tons of practice games going as well. Seems great, hope it sticks. In theory, if you are good enough to score 2 league wins every month and don't loose any (going 3-2 in worst case), then it should cover the monthly expense.
On the other hand, if you plan to play the deck at least for 3 months straight, then it should be worth buying the cards and then when you want to switch to different commander, sell them.
Say you get 80% of cost back, decks are around say 200 tix so you "spend" 40 tix which is like 40 bucks. The monthly subscription is 48 bucks for 2 months. but ofcourse this bonds you to play the DC there as selling the cards for tix and then selling the tix gives you even less which would then prolong the deck usage period. Perhaps this part could be nice to elaborate in next video so the players understand, that it's not that bad to switch from free-to-play cockatrice to MTGO.

Where’s the Cockatrice guide? I heard that there are some tournament winning players on there 😅
But in all seriousness, great guide @bitzelberg. Anything that helps the DC community to grow is welcomed

I have already tested it, I find it a cool option to test each deck and make adjustments before playing the paper version.
also great for test games and match ups when you don't have the time to go to the LGS

I'm amazed so many people recommend renting cards. You are throwing your money away.

It absolutely depends on how you're planning to play on MTGO. If you're a passionate RDW player, go ahead and buy the cards for 50ish $ - I'm with you here. Generally speaking, if you stick to a deck for a LONG time (based on the average cost of a mono-coloured deck ~120 TIX) it's worth it to just buy the deck.
If you frequently want to try out new decks, also testing decks for paper-metagame, new appearances etc., I'm personally not interested in spending tons of $ AGAIN (if you have the cards in paper) for that.
People pay 30$ a month for a WoW subscription; if you're a passionate MTG player why not spending 15$ to grind MTGO?!
But I'm curious, what would YOU do instead? :)
