  • The much-awaited Part Two of our trip to Glen White, PA, an abandoned coal and coke oven town two miles from the World Famous Horseshoe Curve outside of Altoona, PA. DayHikeDave and the Wandering Woodsman were glad to join me! Come along as we check out the Coke Ovens and the waterfalls around it by walking the old railbed. Subscribe to Allegheny Mountaineer, DayHikeDave (@dayhikedave) and The Wandering Woodsman (@thewanderingwoodsman7227) and be sure to check out their videos on Glen White as well.

To purchase a Glen White Book, simply search "Glen White, PA" on Barnes and Noble's or the Railroader's Memorial Museum's website. Much appreciated!

Sounds like a good idea for the camping places. Going back in winter would be great too so we can see more. What a contrast with the place now to the picture you posted of the houses and creek. Very depressing looking. Looking forward to the next one...

That was a great day. Hope you are not working to hard and still have time to get out and explore. God bless. I'll give you a shout when we head up your way. Thanks for the adventure. 👍🙂🙏
