I am shocked you actually let the world see the raw, unedited pain of labor. Too many videos like this have nice soft music, positive affirmations, and then cuts to the ending where the joy is shared. That's absolutely the mother's prerogative, the one sharing the experience. But labor is HARD. That first baby? Even harder. Much respect that you didn't edit that out.

All of the emotions in Eric's voice when you pushed him out, the moment you saw him and fell in love all over again, the moment you realized you had done it and he was here. Long story short, I cried.

I just sobbed through that whole thing. I’m 11 weeks pregnant right now and you and Ellen have given me the strength and faith to believe that I can have a healthy vegan pregnancy and natural home birth. Thank you, thank you, thank you❤️

seriously, hands down the best birth video I've seen. I think Ellen being both a videographer and an experienced mom knew how to capture those moments that just ring true and echo in a mother's heart. I am just in awe of Cosmo coming out with his eyes wide open looking right at mom and dad. Just incredible! Thanks for sharing this intimate experience. You and Eric both did amazing!

He literally CAME OUT with his eyes open and completely alert... that is AMAZING. NEVER seen that before in my lfe, and I love watching birth videos..Born with eyes wide open.... common characteristics of a gifted baby.. I can't wait to see what he's like as he grows.
My baby born at home was calm, relaxed, wide eyed. She just looked around, looked at me and her dad. She was very alert.

Its so sad that we live in a world that shames and puts women down so much.... this video is a reminder of how amazing, beautiful and strong women are... What we have to go through when we bring another life into this world.. its incredible.. women should be praised, taken care of, loved.
