- We create all of the components and piece them together with a robotic assembly line to make robots. This will take a lot of resources and also need science packs 6 to get the research done to unlock the assembly lines and robot production.
Explore the limitless possibilities of FOUNDRY, where you can construct the ultimate factory or unleash your creative flair in a boundless voxel universe. Gather resources, streamline production with automation, and navigate intricate systems as you delve into the depths of mechanical innovation. Embark on a journey of discovery and mastery as you research new technologies. Whether you're aiming for efficiency or artistic expression, FOUNDRY offers an immersive experience like no other.

I do suspect that the splitters and mergers in the assembly line will eventually enable the production of different models of robots. So expect assembly lines to get even bigger.
I'm good with that. The bigger the better.
wall powerpoints can be rotated like pipes. you can have them coming down from the roof
Thanks, I keep missing those modes.
I'm not going to trash talk the assembly line. I made a comment down below about your setup is tame compared to an actual vehicle assembly line. What I like about this game is that its forgiving. You can always go back and fix it, and get your items back.
Agreed. I play games to chill, not to get punished for small mistakes, especially when I'm learning.
@@surtrplays agree 100%
The small straight peices ... become large left and right turns👍👍 ditch the mergers
It took 6 hours of sleep and 2 cups of coffee before I figured that out. Thanks.
@@surtrplays lol took me 9 hours to figure out that poly boards needed to be on the bus👍👍 then unpacking the MILES of pipe work... but I got this... be carefull ..the trains dig FAST and run out quick lol
@@surtrplaysI thing the splinter s are for the paint station...IF you want multiple colours?
Thanks. I will check it out.
3:05 That was my first thought about them. Then I remembered keys used to rotate pipes... ;)
Luckily I have some very clever community members otherwise I wouldn't have figured out that could be done.
I enjoy watching your videos because you’re always a step or two ahead of me. However, this factory is a mess of spaghetti. That’s not fair. Spaghetti is much more organized than this factory. It would drive me crazy building this way. 😂
LOL, I'm giving myself a nervous breakdown on this.
Balancers suck. There are times I want the balancer another way and it does not go the way I need or want. Adding belt splitters to the list of things I need for a neater factory build. I've been prepping for those big line builds. Things look good on your end. You have been busy that's for sure.
I am sure the devs are working on some QoL updates. There are a few things they could do tp make the factories neater
wow the buildings keep getting more epic that's the probably one of the best things I've seen in a factory automation game
It does just keep getting better.
The screen showed those short pieces have turns and ramps. I don't think you need to use a splitter or merge to turn corners.
You have a really good point. I didn't even think to look at the modes. This lack of sleep is not good.
The wall power connectors don't stick to wall correctly either. They float in mid-air. I hope that is fixed at some point.
I hope so to.
3:07 you can rotate those wall connectors to base ceiling or floor, just note it’s quite useless on the floor due to sag
Thanks. I didn't even think to try that.
yeah those assembly lines are huge! I remember when you first set up the sales warehouse for maintenance drones you also had to set what you received at a different building, which was firmalite of course, but im wondering if more options are available at that building now you have more than 1 thing to sell?
Totally! There is more to come. I'm sure we will be able to sell many items.
Great episode and feel ya pain with the assembly line. Torn mine down and re did the whole thing in a long line. Can’t wait to see what else can be made like this
I had a look at the roadmap. They have a lot of plans. This game look to have a great future.
@@surtrplays great stuff 😁
Don't criticize your factory looking amazing dude
Thank you so much.
Great episode. Just a food for thought: power for all assemblers can be daisy chained.. no need for poles. Love you.. please take care of your health too.. cheers!
Thank you very much.
For the Cargo ships, when I offload or load from Containers, I always run (4) of my highest level belts I have unlocked. This makes loading and unloading of the cargo ships very fast.
Great tip, thanks.
So you are responsible for all the terminators!
My bad. LOL.
He's an arms producer, too!
@@oachkatzlschwoaph 🤣
GOD DAM that is a huge production line buddy thank you for this episode
Thanks @NozzaOneHand.
On mine I got a separate area and everything being transported via cargo plane so it mass produces without issues
Awesome. I will be setting that up shortly.
So at 35:25 you are connecting the 2 splitters. But when you tie in the (2) splitters it says "Mode: Straight: hold RMB" is it possible that similar to conveyors you can hit right mouse button and select a turn? vs using a splitter? I am not quiet at the point to build the line, but I am going to try to test this today if I can..
I completely forgot to look at the modes. I will fix them up.
Hit the Z key on the keyboard to clear your hand.
Thank you very much!
It says weld heads in the config panel
You made me look, but it says Attach Head. No weld head.
Geez man, spaghetti much? I know it is the end of the line for a lot of that product, but that is just excessive.
It could be worse. Don't worry. I will eventually fix it all up.
@@surtrplays In that specific case, I recommend going up, not out, with the assembly line and going over all the other production lines. It may look funny, but you will not have to worry about anything getting in the way and it is possible to use elevators to bring up material in a pinch instead of using ramps.
Cool, I will check out that option.
Your factory gives me diabetes. I'm not much better, and that's why i keep restarting looking for a way to organize.
I have been toying with the idea of restarting but I have decided to take the tough route and fix everything. I need to do something before I start speaking Italian.
Ok, this assembly chain is ridiculous. You should be able to use one assembler to make a single robot with all the different inputs coming into the machine. This is complication for the sake of complication and I absolutely hate when developers do this sort of thing. It ruins the game for me. I doubt I will continue to play this game. The more I play and see the less I like it.
I feel just the opposite way about the assembly line. Finally something different than just scaling up and up.
@@SonneFrank You are using the exact same machine to put on different parts. You supposedly have advanced technology and the assembler can only assemble one part? This is the definition of pointless complication.
I really like to see something different in these types of games. It makes it more interesting than just putting down a row of assemblers, then running belts down the side.
@@RickClark58 You should take a public tour of a vehicle plant. Surtr's setup is tame compared to an actual plant. I actually like what the devs have done. I mean, if you don't like it, give them input through the game or their discord. They have been very receptive to ideas and changes.
@@PI_Joe_MamaYou managed to somehow miss the point of my comment but that is fine. Each to their own.
