Good video, I just burned up my 3rd electric sander in a year so i'm doing research on higher end pneumatic stuff and I saw this mesh as an option. This is a good explanation of how it works.
Would’ve loved to know about the adapter before I burned the replacement pad that I just bought. I’m glad I know now though. Thank you for the informative video!
Used it. In this case BOSCH M480 sanding mesh standard sheets now for manual sanding with a thin sanding pad selfmade with hook velcro which I stick on the back of a standard piece of sandpaper (P120 in this case). This results in a very flexible sanding pad with good friction such that it does not slip of your fingers/palm of you hand. The sanding mesh indeed does not clog up and buffers the dust in the mesh. If you tap it close to a vacuum cleaner it easily releases the dust and you won't spread it in the air. I think indeed that sanding mesh is a game changer. The mesh also stays longer sharp.
I can guarantee that you DO NOT want to use the Mirka Abranet right on your regular H&L pad... I just ruined mine on my Dewalt and I now need to replace it. I picked up the Abranet at Lee Valley's and I REALLY wish the salesperson would have told be thing. I would have spent the extra $9 to protect my H&L pad... now it's gonna cost me another $15 to replace it.
Skip to @4:00 for the mesh sandpaper.
Call me crazy, but if you have a nice sander, premium sandpaper, and noise cancelling headphones, sanding is cheap therapy.
Especially if you have bluetooth headphones and your favorite music. It makes the task a lot more bearable.
@@thewoodsmithstore oh definitely. what I’m saying is that it is enjoyable for me, not just tolerable
Wish you would have included 3-M cubitron sandpaper.

I think it’s ripe time that someone makes a sander that is designed for a mesh, with smaller but more holes perhaps?
Good vid. Slightly off topic , but curious to learn what hose and connector is being used here
Thank you.
You're welcome!
