Ugh!!! I just replaced both trolling motor batteries 2 weeks ago. $600 for two regular L/A batteries. No way I could afford the Lithium’s. They wanted $700 a piece. I’ll be very interested in hearing how these pan out for you over the next couple years.
First make sure the voltage is correct. If you have a 12 volt electric motor you need a 12 volt battery or 12 volt battery bank. Or 24 volt motor = 24 volt battery bank. Well generally speaking the more amp hours you have available the better. But of course we all have different limiting factors. How much room do you have for the batteries? How much do you want to spend? How much do you use the batteries between charging? If you like to troll for hours with the electric, you are going to use more power than if you periodically position the boat with your electric. And how much power is used varies so much between boat size, how fast you troll, how long you fish etc. Like I said in the video I have 2 of the 100 ah batteries and I haven't ran out of power yet. But that's my boat the way I fish. So the simple answer is more AH = better.

Yes, I will do a short follow up soon, but the real test will be the next couple of seasons.
Great vid, I just went all in on lithium this year! My buddy thought I was out of my mind.
With the way prices are coming down everyone will be going to lithium soon.
How do you figure AH that you need for the trolling motor?

Wait you use an electric motor ? And just what is wrong with oars ?
😂
You must only fish tiny ponds.
Nothing wrong with oars. Many fish have been taken from a small boat with only oars to power it.
Thanks for sharing, brother, that's the life!
You bet! Thanks for watching.
