    The Chrysler 300c, Cadillac DeVille, and Lincoln Town Car were the last three luxury cars where you could measure the amount of cargo space in the trunk by how many dead bodies you could stuff into the trunk.

      Don't forget The Ford Crown Victoria and The Mercury Grand Marquis, they weren't luxury cars but they had the same about of trunk space also.

      Considering the fact that luxury cars are moving towards trucks and SUVs, I think you could fit an entire graveyard inside an Escalade ESV.

      @@badlydrawncars6460 Probably. I just miss seeing a true luxury car instead of the smart phones on wheels that make up our automotive industry. If I could choose any personal luxury coupe; I would be torn between either a 1977 Chrysler Crown Cordoba or a 1978 Mercury Cougar XR7 Midnight Chamois. In terms of styling; the 1970's was the best decade for personal luxury coupes.

    I almost bought a magnum in 06 but I didn’t think the station wagon look would age well so I got a charger 06 rt. Still driving it to this day. Runs great, no check engine light, no funny noises and still hauls ass. I can still run 13’s at the track

    I have a 2009 Chrysler 300 with the 3.5 motor.
    I bought it new. I have 237,000 miles on it now with the original engine and transmission. It’s a good car overall but I hade replace the water pump twice so technically it’s on its 3rd water pump in a 12 year period. Plus I noticed for the past 5 years that the engine eats up oil. Doesn’t leak oil but just eats it. I use full synthetic oil, so when it hits 3,000 miles after a oil change, the oil on the dipstick sits at minimum so I go get another oil change. Other than those two issues, it runs great. Plus I change (not flush) the transmission fluid every 30,000 miles.

    Ive owned an 05 Magnum RT, 08 Challenger SRT8, and currently own an 07 300C AWD model.. i have loved all 3 cars but my order for the 3 ice owned is #1 Challenger SRT8 (of course) #2 Magnum RT ( I preferred this body style over the 300 #3 300C AWD.. i would still own the Challenger SRT8 had i not moved up north where the AWD is a necessity.... Im sure my next car will be a hemi variant of a Charger ... unless they bring back the Magnum! It was my favorite of the 3 (Charger, Magnum, 300) upon their initial release.. im gonna keep dreaming that they will make a Hellcat Magnum someday amd make a group of us Mopar guys ecstatic!!

    Thats because its an ancient 4 speed auto. that means 4th (and also 3rd) are overdrive gears designed for fuel economy and highway driving. So you will lose engine power in those high gears.

    The 2.7 is low on power, but it gets exceptional gas mileage for how big and heavy the cars are. I rented a Charger with the 2.7 and got 27+ mpg with 4 people and all the luggage to go along with them through the mountains. I'm sure you can hit over 30mpg on the highway by yourself on a normal highway.

      Magnum since the 300 would be the old bodystyle

    • @aboodmki3
      @aboodmki3 Před 5 lety

      Keep the 500
      LXs are prettier interior & exterior (Chrysler only), (Dodge Chager & Magnum looks sluggish), they’re little more fun to drive, little more powerful (V8 only) and that’s it.
      500 have decent engines and trans they’re extremely reliable, powerful enough and compatible with each other, had better interior materials, looks more serious aka (not a d-bag looking car).

    • @Stressless2023
      @Stressless2023 Před 5 lety +1

      Five Hundred's are slow as slugs, the transmissions are fragile (the 6 speeds and ESPECIALLY the CVT's), and ALOT less fun. A Hemi or even a 3.5L Magnum (make sure to replace the timing belt if it's a 3.5L... AVOID the 2.7L) would be more spacious, alot more powerful, equal amount of features, more interesting to look at, and virtually the same mediocre reliability between the two. Worse gas mileage would be the biggest drawback.

    • @aboodmki3
      @aboodmki3 Před 5 lety +1

      SuchANiceGirl22
      The Aisin 6S AT is one of most reliable trannys from its segment what are you talking about?! CVT is death trap yah but the 6S is definitely more reliable than the Daimler 5S and the new 8S ZFs, with appropriate ATF & filter changes intervals and only start the normal driving after it reach Operating temperature and it’ll run like a clock, if it was neglected way too much and then replaced or driven from cold start it will be out for good after a while other than that it can run up to 1/2 M Kilometers with no issues at all and most cars are like this, the Chrysler 5S AT on the other hand are prone to have faulty modules, brittle gear knob selector bushings and there are a lot of people complained about it, I’m saying it’s bad but it’s definitely not better than the Ford 6S, the Chrysler 2.7 is known with it’s sludge contamination problem and it’s considered as one of the top 10 worst internal combustion engines ever existed, and the SOHC 3.5 is just no match for the more modern yet simple configuration of the Ford DOHC 3.5 it’s more “alive and there” and far more economic than Chrysler’s 3.5 let alone the V8s, I’m no Ford promoter by no means it’s already more than 10 y/o car, I’m a MB guy my self but i used both LXs & 500 and the reliability reputation of the 500 stood for itself.

      Also they feel just a tad sluggish
