- In an action-packed thriller, the Syracus Orange outlasted the NC State Wolfpack, 87-83 in Raleigh. Chris Bell got things started for the Orange, knocking down his first eight 3-point attempts on his way to 26 first half points. The Wolfpack adjusted and shut Bell down in the 2nd half, rallying from a 15-point deficit to take the lead in the final minutes. DJ Horne was spectacular, scoring a game-high 32 points on 11-20 shooting from the floor, including 6-8 from three-point range. Syracuse's Quadir Copeland scored a career-high 25 points while making some spectacular plays and Judah Mintz scored all 13 of his points after the break to help the Orange to the win.

Nice bounce back win
Hats off to Coach Red and this team. After a very disappointing loss, they came out on the road and won against a tough NC State team. Because of few quad 3 or bad losses (GT, FSU, and BC), the team only has slim shot at making the NCAA. But it’s finally starting to like a solid NIT team. CBell and Qadir were amazing. Only if these players and team can be more consistent…. Regardless Coach Red has found a way to keep the team together after tough losses and the team has not had a long losing streak like the last two years.

Because you can face guard in college basketball and you really can't do that in the NBA... You take your best forward defender... And tell him not to get out of Chris Bell's face for the entire second half.... But you're basically playing down a man on help side defense to face guard
state was denying him the ball all second half, plus cuse played too much iso ball in second half

Would have loved to see the go-ahead free throws by Copeland and missed 3 by Horne 🤔

I did not like Copeland's game at the start of the season but now it's clear to me he's legit. His acrobatics and one handed plays, his defense against UNC- he's the real deal. If Red can bring in some bigs for rebounds, we should be at the top end of the ACC next year. This was an important growing year for Red and this team. He's got too many guards and not a real center- who is healthy. He can fix that in the transfer portal.

He was way behind the line. I'm a CUSE fan and the announcers kept saying they will review that shot but they never did. The replay showed it was not even close. Why did the NC State coaching staff let this go? IDK. Because the shot was in the first half of the game. Plenty of time to complain during half time. But they didn't and the game was played at NC State's arena.
