    In our country southern part of India (tamilnadu) this is our traditional street food.there are so many types of hotteok but we called this as boli like coconut boli,parupu boli etc...... I'm really happy to see this😘

    I made them and they turned out really nicely! Tastes very similar (if not the same) to the ones I've had in Korea 😋. Also, so simple to make!

    From the States here. This recipe looks amazing. I look forward to trying it. It’s gluten free too!!! I’ve been making Grandma’s Toast a lot since I watched a YT clip. Easy to figure out that. But after watching a clip on this “pancake” I’m so grateful to find this video. Yummm!!

    Hi Chef Atulya. I made hotteok using your recipe and it turned about so good then I expected😭My mom likes it too. Never tried real korean hotteok but it's really tasty like crunchy cinnamon bun😆The dough itself was delicious and very versatile to try out other filling again. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe❤

    Discovered this dessert on CZcams and was intrigued by it, so I looked for a recipe. Yours looks absolutely decadent. I will try making this for thanksgiving 2021, I mean, why not 🤤😍 thank you for sharing. Looks easy enough. I will add my favorite nuts to my filling (walnuts, almonds) and I’ll use brown sugar. Gah, can’t wait 🤤

    Imma have to try your recipe bc mine come out kinda like pancakes they are kinda dry...and i couldn't figure out how to get it chewy!! Im using APF not the rice flour i need to tweak my recipe..i also only wait an hour to rise .

    When you say leave it the fridge overnight do you leave it out for 3 hours then put it in the fridge? Or after kneading?

      You can but it will alter the flavor and texture.

      Hi! You can find them at Korean, Japanese, or Chinese grocery stores labeled as sweet rice flour or mochiko or glutinous rice flour. Or order them online if you don't live by an asian grocery store.

      I think it will work! It's a bit less sticky (glutinous) but I think it'll still get the job done.

      YW! Sweet rice flour is made of short grain rice called sweet rice. It's a bit more glutinous (meaning sticky & chewy) than regular rice flour.

      By glutinous flour, do you mean glutinous rice flour or high gluten wheat flour?...

      If it’s glutinous rice flour, then yes, you can use that. If it’s high gluten flour, then no it wouldn’t give the same result. I hope this helps!

    thank you for this recipe, I cannot wait to try making it!! :) I love ALL kinds of glutinous foods and a sweet snack like this... ugh. I just watched a video that features 8 different korean street food stalls making their version of hotteok, one of them is of classic filling but uses no oil to fry, only the hot plate! I'm wondering if you've tried to fry hotteok without oil?
