Lion's Cove will always be a special memory for me, we spent a few nights at this location, traveling out each day to different dive locations. The local children would come meet us on the shore in the morning and evenings.
The video doesn't do justice for the colouration of a few species like Metriaclima sp. zebra gold "Lions cove". Labidochromis caeruleus "Lions cove" and Pseudotropheus sp. "polit". Another thing to mention is the steepness of the cliff's in the cove, this causes an almost sheer drop once you enter the water.
This video has plenty of hidden gems from start to finish!

Probably you need to ask the natives for that. Natives catch cichlids and sell it for a fortune.

Nosey Parker I know. I’m just saying their natural habitat seems barren. You can’t see any other life including algae or plants. It’s all rocks and suit. I’ve kept many different types of African cichlids for decades. Even the synodontis catfish are parasites when it comes to breeding. Gotta love it! It’s amazing.
