【Introduction】One and Only (2021) Chinese Drama series, alongside Forever and Ever is based on the novel Yi Sheng Yi Shi Mei Ren Gu by Mo Bao Fei Bao. It tells the story of a voice actress who has memories of her past life and waits for a man who in her former life loved and respected him with all his heart but could not marry. The series is about Cui Shiyi (Bai Lu), the crown princess-to-be who was sent to the mansion to be a protégé by her elders. Cui Shiyi fell in love, without knowing it, with the Jr. Nanchen King, Zhou Shengchen (Ren Jialun) during her stay. Their relationship soon became an intimate one, yet both of them let their affection grow while restrained it with courtesy. Cui Shiyi was later forced to marry the crown prince and meanwhile, Zhou Shengchen was seriously wounded in an accident when he was leading an army during a war, and sadly died after leaving Cui Shiyi his last words.

The best c-drama for me ❤ song, actors and script
They scream “I love you” when they look at each other. I have never been so drawn in by a drama. When he died I felt her pain and cried with her. Allen Ren and BaiLu are amazing in this. He is so handsome and she is so beautiful. Great job!!!!! ❤️
Bai Lu acted in a lot of very sad scene but this drama the sadness to me take it to the next level.
The scene where ZSC wrote SY's name on the dusty furniture is so poetic. That is his and her secret. Her name will forever be itched in his heart, locked up, where no one can see.

SY mentioned first that the precious word she wants to write down is his first name. Thus saying he will always be the secret of her heart. He immediately recognizes her meaning and writes her name down instead. By doing so, he returns the same implication - she will always be the secret of his heart.
I'm so glad ZSC and SY finally being together, husband and wife, on the next drama "forever and ever", i'm crying watching the whole series, so beautiful😭😭❤❤

The drama itself is heartbreakingly beautiful.. normally i dislike or avoided dramas with tragic endings but this drama is soo beautiful..
I was surprised that their military family except the monk and ZSC's mountain friend didn't realise that they were in love because they were deep that you could see it. But now I realise they were holding themselves back because of their responsibilities and role in society. And that is so sad.
I randomly heard this song before I knew about the film. It was so touching and beautiful, so it made me curious about "One and only". I must say this song is the reason why I decided t watch it and it is absolutely the right decision :
