Growing up in NYC I never even thought of fishing East River or Jamaica Bay in the 70's. Things have changed immensely for fishermen. With clean water quality and public fishing piers, I wish I was there now. Kinda funny to bring fishing gear on the subway!
There is a lot of people with fishing gear on the subway these days. It's cool to see, lot of people seem more interested in it. Growing up in the 70's in NYC must've been a wild time, but a unique and special place to grow up. Thank you for watching!
Those Tautogs are super strong l wasn't that surprised when you hooked that Striped Bass they are very commonly found around Manhattan. There are also lots of bluefish.
@@FeliNycFishin it’s Brooklyn Bridge Park. Everyone in NYC knows about it. You can literally see the bridge. Doesn’t take a genius. I’m not burning spots if everyone knows about it
don't eat fish that comes from that water dude. The Hudson and East rivers are filled with heavy metals and toxic plastics like PCB's that are infused in the fish that live there.

Excellent video!
The content has been great recently! How late into the season does the Tautog bite last?
Tog Talk... back pocket name for your day time talk show? I mean, that sounds like something I'd tune in for.
Easy NYC limit!! Nice fish dude!
Your a good man, most people I know would keep those tog even if they were to small.

What time of year was this?
So much structure for bait. Lots of big fish there
Yeah most likely most the ones that got the white chins or males the female chins I believe is a little darkish grayish
Are you in A.C?
Awesome, have you ever fished further north into LIC? HMU i'll bring green crabs and join lol
Please answer where are you getting those live blue crabs from and what pier are you fishing on.
He's fishing Pier 1 at Brooklyn Bridge Park. You can get live blue crabs at any Asian grocery store.

Everyone don't know if you answered his question on where the pier at ... 🧐
That area is loaded with blackfish giants too use to fish around there all the time
Are you not keeping the fish because off the pollution in the water?
Thats right down the block from my job. Cops always give me sh¡t.
Now I gonna try again.
Nice video bob!
omg please tell me where??
Dude, any pier along the east river and Hudson have blackfish right now
the toggy go wherever you are baby ❤️😘
Keep your rod tip up higher a little more
Why not keep some to eat. Your always catch and release
I would never eat any of the fish that catch in the city canals especially the Hudson River.
What weight a lure are you using
he said 3/4 oz Bottom Sweeper, nice jigs
Blue = Toxic🙄
Dude, those fish are weird colors because you're fishing in NYC. Come on, man; we all know why they look weird.
Dude, don't eat that fish. The Hudson and the East River are a gigantic EPA Superfund site loaded with PCB's and other toxic compounds.
Lol. Do t buy tog from any Asian markets. They come from the same waters.
You should change your name to “Fireman Bob” because you LOVE burning.
You eat those tog?
