    I think it would be helpful to show both the literal translation and the poetic translation. It is clear , for example #26, that all of the words in the example are not used in the translation. Or that is the way it appears to me, very much a beginner to learning Chinese. And an explanation for why the poetic version is different from the literal version would be helpful, also. Thank you very much for these very helpful videos.

    Please correct me if I'm wrong. Is it correct to say my birthday is on April 3, 1970, in Chinese wo de shengri shi si yue san yi jiu qi ling?

      You got most of it correct. Just add 日(ri)or 号(hao)after the date: wo de shengri shi si yue san RI/HAO yi jiu qi ling
