It's so nice, Basel reunited his families, and seems everybody are happy living together. It's the best thing to happen in every family especially for asians, arabs and Africans. The best decision of Basel to stay in Philippines rather than going to other country and start again.

Its so good that there is an Arabic grocery store in Manila. I can empathize that cos once a Filipino goes to a foreign country, he is also looking for Filipino groceries. Anyway, many Filipinos too will buy in that Arabic store especially those who worked and lived in the Middle East for a very long time.

i think Authentic Arabic Restaurant is also a good business in Central Business District like Makati and BGC or even in SM Mega Mall and Mall of ASIA..

This is so true. The only popular middle eastern restaurant in metromanila that i can think of is Mister Kabab in QC. Filipinos love shawarma, kebab, and even keema.
Sadik, you can also visit ASSAD Mini Mart Grocery store in UN Avenue Manila. They supplied Indian/Pak/Arabic items and its the biggest Asian store in Manila.

So easy to make hummus with a food processor, Mama. Just get chick peas in a can, olive oil, tahini, lemons, garlic, paprika and make your own lavash or pita bread. My favorite snack though I’m from the Philippines living in NY!

In Sydney there’s so many Asian stores that carry Filipino Korean Thai Japanese Indonesian, Chinese, Indian and many more. So many restaurants too. Real melting pot. The 90s sure brought all a lot.

Mula noong lumipat kami ng asawa ko dito sa Portugal last year from Scotland hindi pa ako nakahanap ng Filipino store. Anyway, nag-decide akong mag-garden so I could grow my own Filipino vege: sayote; talong; string beans; kangkong at iba pa. The only ones I can’t provide for ourselves are the processed food. 😊
