Hi I'm a civil engineering student on my third year and we have this project to do a survey and create a topographic map.. Our professor actually wants us to plot it manually but I want to try doing it in civil 3d. The data that we got from the survey was the Azimuth, distance and the vertical angle. We've actually computed for the elevation but I was wondering if you could help me get the northing and easting from my data. Thank you :)

Can anyone tell me how to make them appear? I already checked the linework code if I pathed it correctly and it seems that I did. I don’t know what I did wrong

im used to micrstation.. can all the files be separate files like microstation..? like design , surface , profile all be separate files..?? if so is there something to show me how
The answer is yes, you can have separate files for what you are trying to do. You can have a file for surfaces (existing or proposed) profiles, alignments, and so on. From there if you need to reference them you can create a data shortcut and reference. For points though (in the context of the video) you cannot create data shortcuts but instead you can create an XREF for it. In practicality you would never reference points though.

Probably just understood the area that was being surveyed and recognized it.
northing comes before easting by convention
