The facts are that a) the pilot, Aaliyah, and 4 others are confirmed to have died on impact and b) yes, 3 people initially survived the impact - and if memory serves me correctly (it HAS been 17 years) Scott was flown to Florida and died and Anthony died at a Nassau hospital. The other person died en route or at the scene. I wasn’t even talking to you to begin with, I was addressing the original commenter about the probable reason why the reporter said “one person” because having actually been alive during this time and also being a massive Aaliyah fan and fact checker, I am 99% sure that Scott was the one she was talking about, whose only concern was that rescuers find Aaliyah. Her bodyguard Scott Gallin initially survived, when rescuers found him he told them to go find Aaliyah. He later died at the hospital
