The Polarna M5 eBike is an incredible deal for $1,500! It's quick for it's price class and gets an average to above average range. Plus it's full size frame is super nice to ride on. Full suspension, foldable, cargo rack...so much good stuff for only $1,500. I know that's a lot of money still but this is a great deal for what you get right now. #eBike #Polarna #Xnito - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Found your channel recently whilst looking for my first PEV, and it was you that made me go for a Solar P1, I'm English and Solar made sense. After binge watching some of your videos, I've come to realise that you're good ideas for self building your own E bike is going to cost me a lot of money. It feels like you're spending it for me. Keep the videos coming, I just like the way you do things, giving us the information for real world use. Instead of just quoting the user manual giving the specs nobody cares.
Thumbs up 👍 and a sub from me.
I don't watch TV anymore since I found your CZcams channel! Now have a binge addiction lol watching your videos over and over!!. I love riding, but due to a recent condition, I gave my fairly new mountain bike to my neighbors daughter. Since Covid, money has been tight for everyone, but my goal has been to put a smile on someone everyday. There is so much at little cost we can do for a smile. I wanted to do something special for this amazing young lady. Her bike was stolen. I do miss my bike, but her smile... incredible! However since seeing this ebike on your channel, I have decided to save up. Your videos show you can hit the trails, or road and stay riding! I especially love the idea you can ride and don't have to worry about losing energy or confidence to get back home. The reason I rehomed my bike. Wow, I'm such a new fan and so excited!! A kid in a candy shop. Since finding your videos, I'm super siked to save for my bike!!! Thank you for educating and the quality of your reviews and encouraging everyone to ride.. I will continue to watch you for the shear joy of your love of freedom and beyond after I can get my butt back in the saddle!! Keep the reviews and rides coming in. Loving every mile!!!! Enjoying every smile 😃
I bought two Lektric e bikes made in Phoenix( foreign parts sadly)
Aside from that for $1000 they are awesome. This year they came out with a higher performance and range for $1800.
I’m not paying that for a bicycle with a motor however.
I can buy a used Sportster for that $
I’ve ridden Harleys ( still do) for 45+ years. I’m 65 and live to ride.
The bikes I got are a lot of fun and are great for Camping.
Anyway the fact they are made here and get hundreds of positive reviews sold me.
They fold and are are well worth the $1000 price.
Have fun and stay safe.
These may appear to be toys but you can get hurt badly riding them.
Even an experienced Rider of decades has to be vigilant.
Apples and Oranges
Could be additional cost of licensing registration and insurance in some states also if riding on the highways.
Lectric are sold in USA and have us support but the bikes themselves are made in china. Agree with all you are saying though, bang for buck $1,000 is a great deal
I'm staying in L.A. Ca.
If There's a Place to go visiting and buy the one I like most. Please let me know the address and phone # . Thanks 🙏🏼
Hard tail suspension, 500 Watt, tiny battery, makes Lectric a under dog for the price.
I'm impressed. My Radwagon is pulling 350+watts on flat to go 24mph, this one is almost 100w less. No spokes! YEAH! one less thing to mess with.
Really like your vlogs. the screen on that bike is impressive.
Nice review, thank you!
I like the form factor and the ability to fold the ebike makes sense. I have a similar ebike but with real full two suspension for the rear. Mine does 22 miles per hour (on a 48v 10AH battery) and motor is just 350w.
I just wish I could fold it so I can easily transport it.
13:47 The chain guard is so smart, instead of a plastic guard that is very ugly, they used a two-by pedal and use the outer chainring as a metal guard!
I want one big time! Thanks for the review!! Can't find better deal on Amazon Canada. :)
I like this ALOT! Perfect price.
I purchased the M4 this past summer. Like it so far. Got it on sale for 1099.00 🙂
I have a very similar bike. Its advertised to go 30 to 32mph and of course, the speedometer reads 30mph but its actually 19 to 23mph. If you put your gps on the side you'll see that you're not doing 30mph for sure. Those screens needs to be calibrated to the wheel size.
It goes 25mph max
I just bought a similar ebike for $999 dollars. Its the auloor 750w ebike from Amazon. Its great for the price 4inch fat tire, same everything on this bike but it doesn't have that nice screen. It has a decent screen I wish it'll have this one. I get it to go 28mph and i have about 21miles on it and battery still reads about 85%.
I wear a full face helmet when going full speed on my bike, provides good noise isolation and privacy. Of course want the protection in case of a crash as well
This one looks pretty good, I might have to get one.
FYI: When mopeds were starting out and then eventually became everywhere ...it feels the e-bike craze is getting to be that way too --AND the fear of e-bikes developing the stigma will also become a reality. That's why I want to point out that when it came to mopeds, the reason why certain brands(like Ice Bear) weren't any good, is because they didn't have to be regulated by any type of standards. Why? ...because while the moped frames were developed by 1 company, the motors were build by 2 separate companies, and that's how they're able to bypass certain regulations & standards --thus the ability to put out crap-quality on the market. And IMO it feels that it's starting all over again when it comes to e-bikes and e-bike conversions.
But something occurred to me when I was watching tv the other night. I was watching BattleBots and given how much the Bots weight & such ...I wondered if the companies and their tech could be used for an e-bike platform.
I love this guy video
U know what, u can just turn the bell clicker. Just pull it around as far as u like. It can rotate around.
Seeing the steering column be bent forward is really disconcerting ! its interesting to see the trends that are emerging, this bike seems to try and do everything, be fat tire, folding, cargo transporting, off road etc. In the UK wide tyre ebikes are rare and the most common bikes are 250w with narrow to medium tire sizes, some people also have electric mountain bikes, in general the top e-bikes here are unaffordable to young people and so e-scooters are much more common to see.
You can build a 2500 equivalent ebike yourself for 7..800 quid . Fat tyres are terrible power drainer . Its the UK laws that are terrible .
What a nice bike it's good to see the suspension on this!!! Its an improvement on the similar LectricXp I can understand why it costs 500 Dollars more!!! I think its worth the money
Most of these are rebranded bikes bought from Alibaba. Just change the logo, add some different parts, and charge double or even triple that amount. The only plus side is maybe the warranty.
I’m really liking this bike and I don’t even have one - yet 👍🏻😜
Very nice bike and video.
Can I wire up a 60v battery pack and change the setting to 60? A lot of 48 v -72v motors you can
Awesome review, Reviews are great so you can see it b4 u buy it. But I hate how every time a yt vid comes out with a review on a thing, that thing almost instantly increases in price by almost 25% or more
Great video mate cheers 👍
In my area the bike speed limit is 10 MPH because we share the trail with pedestrians.
Oh shit at first i thought i clicked on a Chris fix video 💀😂 the way you said “hey guys”😎
Mine is delivered at my summer place, but I won't see it for a week to ten days. Is there room on the handlebars to strap one of those 1000 lumen bike headlights? Mine is an M6. Looking at the products, what is needed is a free one inch of bar that is horizontal, so the light is aimed forward.
I might look into getting that bike.
How long does it take to charge up? Can you get a spare battery if needed and does the motor assist when peddling or throttle only?
The “hey guys” at the beginning… I thought I was listening to chrisfix 🤣
Can you adjust the PAS levels? Many bikes ship with 3, but allow you to have 5 levels.
if you have wind up front you should ride both directions and the point between two speeds is the real ability of the bike ,
Can you go into the settings and adjust things to get more mph ?
Nice feature packed bike. Given the size of the battery pack the range is decent. Just wondering what the peak draw was when accelerating? Another great review. Keep it up.
I want to say ~800w?
@@TheInja Thanks, I have a 36v 350w nominal ebike. It puts out almost the same at peak power. Makes me think they all use the same geared hub motors. But 48 volts is better for less load on the battery. My bike draws over 20A at peak, yikes!
Surdo.Heberty
LOL the M5 Sticker upside down on one side oopps! Just bought the M5 with the 1000Watt Hub and 17.5AH battery today on Amazon Canada! I hope mine is Matt Black because it said Black when I ordered it? Is there an actual Black and Matt Black?
Curious what the turbo at 19 mph is called could set a new standard for foldable e bikes / Tops out at 29 mph with cruise control / LOOKER / POLARNA E BIKE M5 / COST ? competes with both RAD and Super 73 club
I was one of the first eople to get a Lektrix XP. I paid 899. am alog way from wearing it out. The only problem I ever had was egtting them to give me a luggage rack that didnt bang on the fender. ANd couple flats. Until I slimed the last fix. But thats not their fault. Mine will get 28, but you gotta work. I wonder why they are still giving us those lame deraileurs. Everybody keeps them set on one gear. Mineis set on 5. I never change it. What good is it? I would love to see an electric with an auto trans, and replace the chain.
I would love to know how it works on the beach considering I live in Sarasota Florida and would love to go from the street to the beach
need just this with more range
It looks to be almost the same bike at the Jasion EB7, except for the larger motor, slightly larger battery, different wheels and perhaps a few other higher spec components. All told, is that worth the $500 difference?
I'm looking at the M6. am I too big at 6'2 250 ? Later how easy to maintain and find parts in the US? Possible to fit this folded in the passenger seat of a van?
Looks 100% like my engwe foldable ebike
There's some factory in China that makes millions of these things and bunch of different distributors put different labels for their brands. The rear suspension looks like some cobbled up crap that is going to self destruct and not be able to get serviced .
Great looking bike but does the company carry bikes for folks over 400 lbs??
How does this compare to the kreboc? Would either do ok in the woods?
This vs Luna Eclipse would be nice. Gates Carbon drive on a slightly cheaper bike seems nice
How would it do off-road? Nothing tough, just some trails?
I have a velowave ebike but this looks like it would be more convenient and better for me
This is almost a carbon copy of my Wallke X3 Pro which I love, just with smaller tires (X3 has 26inch tires) and some little upgrades. Nice review!
Most of the bikes are built from the same factory in China. The sellers here in US are configured the bikes using different components (made in different countries) and resell to people in US to make profit on top of it. Eventually, we all make China rich. 🤣
I was really tempted to grab this bike but I'm going to wait until I get my CDL and get this as a gift to myself once I complete it. Will this thing fit in the semi cab safely folded up?
NEVER BUY POLARNA. Any serious issues will be your problem.
SO SHWEEEETTT...much love Tee with LIONS NAMED LEO.[the music worldwide}
AND ooo not bad....for a little one..!
Wouldn’t installing separate triple or double A batteries into the light assemblies improve on the main battery life?
They’re so marginal that it’s way better to not have that extra complexity and cost
Looks interesting but I would need wider handlebars and a shorter handlebar stem plus an extra battery. 👍☮️🌞🚲
A Kaisda K2 with rear suspension? Has it got the 500 motor or the 250?
How do you address any needed repairs out in future after warranty? Are these bikes, not sold thru dealers, unrepairable?
Ding ding ding
With proper maintenance how many miles u think it’d last ???
How much difference is it between the M4 M5 M6 compare all three of them together at same time
How hard is it to get used to the throttle on the left side?
How much they charge for shipping? Do they charge sales tax?
Isn't there some unlock procedure to make it go faster?
I need your honest opinion is the Hub motor on this bike just as good as the
bafang hub motor
looks like you use very little pedal assist and got about 22 miles with 20% battery left. Can you still pedal when battery die? I heard that there are some eBike cannot be pedaled when battery is dead, it needs battery to unlock the gear or something.
QUESTION WHICH BIKE IS BETTER THE YAMEE OR THE POLARNA
Dang ... I like this one too.... This bike vs. the "Hey E-bike'" which would you go with....? Thanks for the reviews...
POLARNA stole $1469 from me. M5 STILL NOT WORKING 6 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE. !!! BUYER BEWARE !!!
@@jonnyquong wow.... Sorry to hear that... I've heard of a lot of problems with this company... I'm glad I didn't buy one ....
How do you remove the battery? I bought one and can't figure it out! 😁
Did you receive compensation for this review from Polarna or from another company?
You need 1000 watt motor minimum with 48 volt and 18-20 ah for power and range
Nice but what is the weight limit ??🤗love the folding bike! I weight 225 and 65 years old
I'm sure you'd be fine!
Really nice looking bike! How tall you are?
Niceee broooo
The m5 sticker on the left side is
Upside down so much for
Quality control!
I just bought my first foldable the Luna Eclipse which is belt driven
nice! How do you like it?
@@TheInja Unfortunately it hasn't arrived yet and am expecting to get it next week
@@MichaelFrancisco973 oh nice, enjoy it!
@@MichaelFrancisco973 Did you get the eclipse yet?
I like the rack on the back. Easily add another 48v battery in Parallel to extend the range or in series and replace the controller to make faster.
Is it easy to replace the controller? Where can I buy one and how do I know it work with this bike? Thanks.
@@hamster377 yes very easy. Controllers are classified first by the battery voltage, secondly by how many amps it can push to the motor (assuming your battery can handle). For example, the controller can push 100A to the motor but if your battery is not capable of at the bare minimum 60A. It will trip the bms, shutting down the power.
So you have to get a controller capable of extracting maximum of your battery.
Remind that:
Amps = Acceleration
Volts = top speed
More volts with more amps = bigger and heavier battery
Easily?
shame u dont ship to ireland.. nice bike for old guy in a country spot, up the village to do groceries an pop in the local post office
that's the older version, the 2022, is the M6 pro, w a 1000w 15mah @$1,399
You should check the Crew Dart V2
how would it do on hills without pedal assist?
You already reviewed this when it was called the GDS ebike lol. These Chinese companies all use the same hardware and just slap their logo on it, it's crazy.
Yes, gdsebikes is the manufacturer of all.
Beware...Tesla is also made in China, you won't find anything that's not made in China. Apple iPhone is also made in China, Samsung too...check your house what it is not made in China.
@@IYar56 Then why are the features different?
Does that include Lectric manufacturing?
Because they are a lot different, they must manufacture to spec.
@@johnoneal1234example :Asus builds, Dell and hp rebrand.
@Samir Samir Having a standard frame doesn't really make it the same bike.
I would not have one.
They don't fold small enough to be useful, the wheels are too small, and I can build an aluminum 28" with a 750 mid drive Bafang and Shimano 21 speed for less than the cheapest of them.
@11:35 you hit 30 mph👍
You did not say how many watts is the motor???
Thumb throttles are always a deal killer for me.
I've got an m5. It's a great value but expect ZERO support. I've been waiting over a month for a screen i broke with no response since they asked for a serial number the day after i ordered.
My dream ebike
Can I get a second Battery, were would I find it?
Have you tried out the Luna Eclipse yet?
Nope!
Approaching 10,000 miles on my Ecotric fat tire bike, I wonder how this would hold up? My ecotric has held up good, still have the original front tire and 8k on rear tire. Not bad for mostly street riding. I would really like to get a dual battery bike as I need the extra mileage. I have kept a video journey, it has changed my life. I love ebikes : )
What model, so many to choose from :\
@@sandycastles7105 People say the cheaper ebikes are pretty much the same as they use the same parts, but the one I bought has shown exceptional value. 10k miles for less than 900 bucks, not too shabby : )
Please share the model and where you buy it? thanks
@@seemovielove3597 Please go to my channel and check the description, there is a link to where I bought it and the model. Hope that helps, have a great week.
If you had bought a POLARNA, you would still be pulling out your multimeter to prove your bike is a LEMON, but there is NO RECOURSE WITH A COMMUNIST CHINESE COMPANY. I lost $1469 buying a dead M5. Polarna is threatening legal action now, because I'm sharing my story. !!! BUYER BEWARE !!!
I’m not a fan of the thumb throttle, how difficult is it to replace it with the half twist throttle?
I can't imagine it'd be too hard.
Anyone noticed that the M5 logo on the left side was put on upside down? And the front fender looks a little crooked. Poor QC from the factory...
Have you looked at the Accolmile Rhino 1000w? It has a BBSHD mid motor what peaks at 160Nm what can propel the bike to 60kmh/37mph and a range of up to 150km with its 48v 17.5ah battery. It has hydraulic brakes, front and rear suspension, 20x4 fat tyres and I feel may be slightly larger to the one you are reviewing here. With the improved efficiency of the BBSHD hills should become a joy.
Mid drive is pointless for commuter bikes..hub drive is better for flat ground
@@rsxhitman Fair comment unless you live in an area with lots of hills. Mid drive is better for larger people as can use gears to power uphill.
@HiTMAN Well, I've a BBSHD on my commuter bike. It's a bit overkill, but I *always* arrive on time, with a big smile. Maintenance is a big issue though. The engine in general is pretty reliable, but it's having its weak spots like the controller integrated into the engine, the nylon gear, that very annoying mounting plate, the threads in the axle and to a lesser extent the clutch. It also consume the entire chainring-cassette-chain set within 2000-2300 km.
they most of tuned it down...looking at the bike on their page they claim 40km/ 24mph now and a 16.5ah battery
this looks exactly like the other ebike you reviewed. same colors and everything just a different name. at least the rear rack and light are straight on this one lmao
Great Videos, So How about your personal count down ;-)
do you work with any company that sponsors you?
Would this be a good bike for someone who wants to peddle and only use the electric part going up hills ?
Yep! Nice torquey bike.
@@TheInja is it heavy to carry ?
@@Rakhali6767 actually fairly light.
What about in winter?
Very Nice
where to buy?
Same platform as the Lectric?
Could I go mountain biking with this?
Can you get a rearview mirror?
