I'm so happy they've come to terms with this part of their past and willingly embrace it now. If it wasn't for how Minx played out, we wouldn't have Drramcatcher and they may not be anywhere near the position they're in now. Minx is nothing to be embarrassed about - it was a stop on the way to the real destination.
It's not that they where embarrassed they have trauma from experiencing horrible situations with their old staff, dami being a minor and disbanding and not knowing if they would redebute.

I read that they got SA by the male staff and if you where to see pictures from their minx era they where dressed inappropriately when they where still in high school. Dami was still a minor too cuz she was the maknae of minx at the time. They where poorly treated by their previous staff before they all quite or got fired. I don't know how bad it was but it traumatized them that's why they still cringe whenever they hear their old music or even perform it. They weren't popular as minx so it didn't help that their old staff treated them so poorly it was multiple factors. The only reason why they are even performing minx is all due to gahyeon and handong. They mentioned it I think in idol room sorry if I can't remember the exact name of the show but that's where they performed it. Gahyeon said she wanted to experience their minx song as a group so they all shared the same things as a group cuz they weren't there during minx. During their online concert I think sua mentioned they probably weren't going to perform minx songs again and it was for special people only.

This entire stage was put on because of Somnia's love for this song and for the girls' journey. This is so far from their genre, style and mature selves now but they rocked the performance for us because they know we wanted to see it.
This is all I ever wanted since DC debut for so many reasons!! But I think the most important one is that seeing them being able to sing this again after so many years, smiling and joking and trully enjoying it means that they have finally healed those wounds and that makes me more happy than achieving our 1st win or all those things we've been achieving since long ago. All I wanted for my girls was happiness. Some fans keep on saying that dc hated or they were traumatized by minx era but I never heard them say any of that. I think dami and others just found love shake cringe because of the cutesy styling and lyrics but hated or traumatized by minx as a whole? I don't think so. Siyeon just felt sad because of the failure. As far as I remember, they loved performing wdyctmh and action. There's even a minx ballad that some of them still sing in their lives from time to time. Been following them since they were minx.
Sure, Minx OT5 were cringing at times but I think they all had a blast. Siyeon's highnote at 3:00, IMO felt more emotional than intended. Like it's the final step of her acceptance / letting go of the bad memories pre-Dreamcatcher.
if they released this as a special single now this would top the charts. its still catchy and just doesn't get old. happy to see them comfortable with it now
I'll say this -- this exceeded the original. The vocal re-arrangement was SO good. Highlighted each other's vocal capability even more, fantastic part distribution and the harmonies were CHEF'S. KISS. So, so good. Minxcatcher has grown so much.

Some fans keep on saying that dc hated or they were traumatized by minx era but I never heard them say any of that. I think dami and others just found love shake cringe because of the cutesy styling and lyrics but hated or traumatized by minx as a whole? I don't think so. Siyeon just felt sad because of the failure. As far as I remember, they loved performing wdyctmh and action. There's even a minx ballad that some of them still sing in their lives from time to time. Been following them since they were minx.
Sure, Minx OT5 were cringing at times but I think they all had a blast. Siyeon's highnote at 3:00, IMO felt more emotional than intended. Like it's the final step of her acceptance / letting go of the bad memories pre-Dreamcatcher.

I'll say this -- this exceeded the original. The vocal re-arrangement was SO good. Highlighted each other's vocal capability even more, fantastic part distribution and the harmonies were CHEF'S. KISS. So, so good. Minxcatcher has grown so much.
