Because they really weren’t that good at their job. The sound design is awesome, the animation on the other hand… It isn’t terrible but as you said, it is simply *lacking*
This sword is actually not unrealistic. Swords like those have been used in combat. Not for 1vs1 duels, but to cut trough enemy lines and formations. The soldiers wielding such swords have been called Doppelsoeldner and Gassenhauer. They got this name because they usually received double the pay due to the high risk involved in being at the front line and disrubting formations. They could injure several opponents infront of them. But the size of the sword also made it more difficult to parry and made it a higher risk.
GoldenYuri i said it's all uphill from here, meaning that the animation improves from here on out this particular scene is almost Berserk 2016 levels of bad
@J A i agree with MyspaceBarBroke. the first movies is THAT bad. Almost as bad as 2016 anime. The pacing and amount of horrendous cgi scenes. but thank god, they step up their game for the 2nd and 3rd movie
Yeah, but its actually more good enough if they do a simple movement, but the 2016 one there was only a few scenes those look like hand-drawn but not a lot
A 15 year old kid just ended the streak of a veteran knight in a minute.
R1 smash boi
To be fair, it was a 15 year old with 9 years of constant battle experience.
Yeah, imagine if it was adult Guts. It would have been 10 sec. The knight was kinda lucky.
@@CrniWukThere is no luck being killed. Either way, he's dead.
@@WalunirLongkumer-gy8lh Hmmm. Dead is dead. But the way how you die not. You can die quick or you can die slowly and with a lot of pain.

Bruh, guts lowkey looking like a toddler with that fight choreography
First time I've watched berserk in sub
Unless you know Japanese, you should always watch it subbed. Otherwise you'll be missing out on important bits of the story.
Looks good

Bazuso's axe was worn out just lije Guts' in the Battle for Doldrey.
Why does this whole series feel and look like a video game 🤦♂️
Because they really weren’t that good at their job. The sound design is awesome, the animation on the other hand… It isn’t terrible but as you said, it is simply *lacking*
Hate me as much as youw ant, but I like this sword so much more than dragonslayer, for whatever reason.
LibertyofFate 1 Me too, despite that even this sword would feel too heavy, it is much more believable while still being a sign of power.
Maybe because it's an actual sword?
