As a professional all-nighter and youngest child, here are rules and tips.
    1. Always use your phone with the charger plugged in to your phone so when your parent walks in you can act like you were charging it.
    2. If you don’t usually stay up late and put your phone somewhere on your nightstand or wtv when your staying up make sure to put it in that spot.
    3. Always do this with lights off
    4. Stay quiet (especially if your right above your parent’s room)
    5. If you don’t sleep with the door closed, don’t close it. Your parents will suspect something. Also this helps prevent the “closing the door trick”
    6. If your parents do the “turning on the lights” trick then just go under your covers, but not so sudden.
    7. If you have the urge to laugh, face towards the other side or “wake up”. Don’t make it obvious
    8. Don’t yawn when they come in. This will indicate you haven’t fallen asleep yet.
    9. If you have siblings, watch out for footsteps leading to their room. Have something set up so you can act fast. Also don’t make such a big deal about it.
    10. If your parents usually check on you at a certain time, watch for that time and “fall asleep” before hand.
    Hope this helped for noobs!

    My rules usually:
    1. If you’re gonna get a midnight snack. Prepare it without a crinkly wrapper in the daytime. If you can’t hide it in your room find a spot close to your bedroom door.
    2. Always have a place to hide your phone.
    3. Perfect the art of fake sleeping. Deep breaths, odd positions while sleeping, if you snore, try and fake snore while you sleep.
    4. ALWAYS wait five minutes even after the door closes. If you hear nothing, only open one eye to be safe.
    5. Never use those automatic fridges with the water pourer thing. Just get bottled water.
    6. Always have a plan if you’re walking around the house. Avoid creaky floorboards.

since everyone’s giving tips, here are mine
    1. before clicking on a video PLEASE check ur volume because sometimes ur device can just blast the video’s sound without warning
    2. (this one can work it just depends) notice the small details. if u normally charge ur device or a table, before bed take it and hide it somewhere on the bed so when ur parents come in to say goodnight or whatever they’ll see that the device is gone and they wont suspect anything the next time they check on u and ur device is gone! example: u have ur phone on the nightstand before u go to bed, but when ur parent leaves, u take it and use it. quick, they’re coming, hide the phone under ur pillow! uh oh… they noticed ur phone disappeared!
    3. be cautious, if ur pretending to sleep, stay in the position for a bit then move. make ur breaths not to fast and rest ur eyelids so they won’t see ur eyes twitching (from holding ur eyelids down) make ur movements very natural, and if u have to, pretend to wake up slowly. if u have to laugh, try making it into a cough
doing more later hope this helps!

As a commander ranked all-nighter. Here are some tips.
    1. If your like me. That means very sensitive. Listen for noises. Even the smallest tips and steps or creeks maybe a sign of danger.
    2. Your parents probably watch social media too. So they might know the “arm” trick. It’s basically when they will lift a sleeping child’s arm up
To see if they are actually sleeping. If the arm stays in the air after they let it go. Then they are sleeping. If not. They are faking. So keep your arm up.
    3. You might hear your parents saying, “alright I’m going upstairs now” or something like that. And that’s basically the first alarm that they’re coming.
    4. During the daylight. Set up a system that is basically made so that you can act like you’re sleeping faster.
    5. If your parents come really close to you when you’re faking sleeping. Don’t move at all. What they are doing is trying to guilt you into stopping faking sleeping. Don’t even flinch a muscle.
    6. If the parents turn the light on. Don’t wake up and make wrinkly noises like you just woke up. I learned that the hard way. Just keep sleeping.
    7. After you’ve passed the check. Don’t get back on devices until you hear footsteps that are getting more faint.
    8. Listen for your parents getting in their bed so you can make sure they aren’t near your room anymore.
    9. If you hear footsteps that were very unexpected. Only thing that you could do is put your device on the table right next to your bed.
    10. If your parents install a camera in your room. Look for a position where your device could be invisible from the cameras view.
And one more message for the strict parents who think their children are doing the wrong things.
The hard thing about making people perfect strictly is that they’ll build a resistance against you.
    So stop. Get some help.

    • @alveena4life
      @alveena4life Před 26 dny +1

You’re not supposed to keep your arm up. They’ll be like “if your arm stays up, then you’re sleeping.” Some people fall for it, so you should drop it. That indicates that your muscles in your body aren’t working

    Pro-tip for her
    1. Master echolocation because you will certainly sense their presence without even looking at them if you master echolocation
    2. Master the art of fake sleeping
    3. Even if you hear the door close, wait 30 minutes
    4. If you need a snack, you're doomed but try to avoid stuff like chip bags because those make a lot of noise
    5. Dim the brightness on your phone/tablet
    6. When fake sleeping, make sure to not fall asleep by flexing a muscle or something
    7. If you have creaky floorboards, put on fluffy socks on, and if you do not have that, just wear shoes
    8. If you master this, you can pull an all-nighter easily but you might regret doing that because if you fall asleep, you might wake up at 6 pm no matter how loud your alarm is
    9. If your bed is set up like hers, you're doomed and none of these steps will work except maybe echolocation if you are fast enough to react
    10. If somehow you successfully pulled off number 9, you have reached peak potential
    11. If you have a bunkbed and you are on the top bed, you can ignore almost all of these steps except for, echolocation, waiting 30 minutes after hearing the door close, and fake sleeping because you are in a much better position than the bottom bed
    12. If you live in Asia, Africa, any Spanish-speaking country, or Barbados, don't even attempt to be sneaky because you will find out real quick when they slap you all the way back to the Stone Age

How to stay up on ur device without getting caught
    1. DO NOT wear headphones. You want t be able to hear everything around you
    2. If u hear anything like foot steps or u actually hear foot steps, don’t put ur device under ur pillow, put it somewhere unexpected like IN another pillow.
    3. If ur hungry, get out of ur room looking tired in case ur parents are up as well. You can also say that u need to go to the bathroom and then say to your parents after the bathroom, that ur hungry.
    4. No lights, no noises from ur device, and no FaceTiming. Texting is good if u want to talk with your friends. Lower ur screen’s brightness to 0. Put ur volume as low as possible but only u can hear it.
    5. Make sure that your quiet!! Stay in ur bed at all times as well.

  • @OrangeLimeS
    @OrangeLimeS Před rokem +1114

Tips for the kids out there that want to be sleep deprived:
    1. Sleep to the side of your door, on the same wall, preferably next to an outlet. This way, you can see the light from outside in the room in a way that fills the room, so you can see who's next to the door.
    2. Make sure to keep your device at a low volume so you can hear the footsteps of the person. Turn the brightness all the way down, and face it away from the door, and away from the wall across the door.
    3. Pay attention to how the door is being closed. My parents would close the door very gently and quietly when they want to stay in the room longer, but they close it harder when they leave.
    4. Wait for 5 minutes in case they come back or are waiting there. If you aren't sure whether they are there or not, listen very closely. You might hear their feet shifting on the floor. If not, open your eyes very slowly. It they are not there, look around the room to make sure. If they are, in a tired voice, say "what are you doing here?"
    5. Some parents may come to hug you and force their arms under your pillow, so never hide your device under the pillow.
    6. Drop your device on the side of the bed if you hear them in the hallway, coming towards your room but not next to the door. Make sure there is an outlet there, with a charging cable plugged in. If they come in and touch your device, and ask why it is unplugged and literally steaming, say that you unplugged it before you slept because it was getting hot while it charged.
    7. If you have no other choice, hide the device under you and act like you're asleep. They're not going to disturb your sleep to check under you anyway.
    8. Keep a waterbottle near you. If they open the door and you look like you are reaching for the device from the floor, grab the waterbottle and act like you just wanted a sip of water. If not, grab the device, turn the light on, and move it around the room in a wild way. Then tell them you felt a bug on your foot.
    9. If they actually KNOW you've been on your device for a little bit, tell them you were in settings trying to turn off something because it kept vibrating.
    10. If you can, lock your room when you sleep.
Edit: There are a LOT more tips in the replies, go look down there too :D
This is a life or death situation 😂

Thanks for the tips! Usually if it’s a phone I’m already in a position to unplug it if it’s charging and then i put it under my covers and use my feet to push it at the foot of the bed when I hear footsteps.
Oh yeah and when u need to get out of the bed, the floor is usually less creeky next to the wall because that’s where it doesn’t get stepped on usually, but make sure you test it during the day and not at night. Also, it helps if you keep a pair of socks at the foot of your bed so you don’t have to get out to get it. Then the socks make your foot steps quieter and less feet scuffing if that makes sense

As a professional all-nighter and middle child here are some tips and rules
    1. If you share a room with sibling like me wait for them to fall dead asleep and then you may start your all-nighter
    2. If your parents usually put the iPad or phone outside wait until they go to sleep or into the bedroom then get it and make sure not to rush or else you'll get caught
    3. If your parents ever so often check on you at a specific timing make sure to remember it and prepare for that time at least 1 min before
    4. If your parents don't check up on you at a specific timing make sure that you have the phone or iPad charged in and keep a ear on footsteps
    5. If your parents know you and you won't sleep then pretend your trying to fall asleep in the bed
    6. Always have the light closed so they won't suspect a thing
    7. if you usually have the door open then don't close it because they'll know your trying to to something
    8. Never hide the iPad under the pillow because that is the most famous spot and they'll always check there first so hide it under the bed in your pocket etc
    9. If you using a phone you don't have to do 8 just put your arms under the blanket
    10. If your ever doing this don't hide under the blanket cause you parents will suspect something's going on
    11. If your parents to the close the light or close the door trick keep acting asleep and wish for footsteps to walk out
    12. If you usually have no covers then you'll have to stand near the charging thing
AT LAST STEP THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE IS REMEMBER ALL THESE STEPS

From someone who’s staying up at 4 am right now, here are some tips:
    1) try to memorize your parents steps
    2) always know where you will put your phone if someone walks in, or pretend someone just walked in and practice hiding your phone where you would hide it.
3)if someone does walk in, wait 5 mins and then go back on your device
4)have your device plugged in while sneaking so that when someone comes in you can quickly put it in the spot where it normally charges so they think it’s just charging
    5) some noises might seem louder to you than someone walking my your room (door closed). Considering you are right next to it and haven’t been hearing loud noises (you’re sleeping) so if you do listen to stuff with volume, your parents or someone waking by probably won’t hear anything unless they’re in the room with you, also turn it low volume
    6) i also recommend practicing your sleep positions for it someone comes in , like be in a weird position, not in a position you’d fall asleep in considering you move in your sleep. (Arm above head, leg out of sheets, head tilted, messed up sheets) also try to breathe heavy and if you snore, try to snore without making it obvious you’re awake
    7) if someone walks in, don’t immediately be like “huh- 😪” and pretend to just have woken up (unless you’re a very light sleeper) instead, wait a bit then slightly open one eye to check your surroundings
    8) if you’re worried you might giggle or laugh, then face the wall or cover your face.
Anyways that’s all I can think of rn, have fun tonight! 😋

6: Slow and deepen your breathing so they don't get sus

as a professional sneaker here are some tips for the inexperienced:
    1. curl in your knees and put the blanket over your head, this way if your parents come in there is less of a chance of them seeing your screen glowing, even if the brightness is turned down.
    2. if you use earbuds, only put one in, this way you can hear audio while still being able to hear the outside world, and its easier to take out one earbud in a second than it is two.
    3. either count up five minutes after the last noise you heard or wait until the adrenaline rush calms down to turn the device back on
    4. keep the lights out and lay in the position you usually wake up in, if you are using tip 1 and you usually dont sleep like that, if your parents ask in the morning then tell them you were cold.
    5. act like you are asleep if they come in, slow your breathing, and if you are a deep sleeper, act like you dont know they are there, if you are a light sleeper either roll around in your bed a bit and pretend to go back to sleep or 'wake up' and ask them why they woke you up.
    6. if they come in make sure whatever device you had is under the blankets/your pillow/your body, try to get any headphone/earbud cords out of sight, but dont check to see if they are out from the hiding area, thatll look suspicious.
    7. try not to talk to friends/watch videos that make you laugh, if anyone walks by the hallway hearing the person inside laughing at 3am, they will check to see if someone is there.
    8. NEVER make excuses to go to sleep early, as tempting as it can be it will make your parents suspicious of you, either start a lie early on in the day such as 'im starting to feel sick' or 'i was barely able to sleep last night', then later on restate that a few times. once you are ready to 'sleep' (wait until 7 pm at least) say that you feel extremely worse and say you are going to bed early so you can feel better the next day.
    8. set a time for you to go to bed, if you have something early the next day going to bed at 12-2 am is best so you can act like you slept well, but if you have time to sleep in 3-4 is probably fine, just use tip 7 and tell your parents it was probably because of that, but you feel better now.
thats all i got to give ya but i hope this helps a fellow younger sibling/rebellious young person

tips for staying up late if you have strict parents
    1. remember the 5 minute rule! wait 5 minutes for ur parents to exit the room just in case they did the "closing the door trick"
    2. if you want snacks, put them into it in the room during the day. if you have room under ur bed stash them there inside of a lunch box or smth. but if ur bed is on the floor (like me), I learned how to hollow out a section under my bed to stash them
    3. always face the door so when ur parents come in, they can't see the light from ur technology.
    4. if ur a belly sleeper, hide ur phone under ur stomach.
    5. if you do get caught with ur phone or IPad, turn on ur flash light and say that you thought you saw a bug on the wall.
    6. always sleep with the charger in when they come in say that you were plugging it in bc you forgot to earlier.
    7. ik that this is a little childish, but have a stuffed animal on the side of ur bed so if they come I right then you were reaching for your phone or iPad grab the stuffed animal instead and say that you accidently knocked it off ur bed while you were sleeping.
    8. if you are having a sleep over and you hear ur parents footsteps always have a book with you so you can act like you were reading together to get ready to Actually go to bed
    9. if they take ur phone away before you go to bed find out were they put it. so when you go to get ur phone say that you were just passing through to get to the bathroom
    10. if ur seeking out to go somewhere (I go to my roof) make sure you always sleep with the windows open so It's not suspicious if you have ur windows open in the morning if you forget to close them
yes I liked my own comment.

As a professional at hiding their screens, let me give you some tips.
    1. Always make sure you're facing your door otherwise itll be too late and your parents would have seen the light of your screen.
    2. Make sure you have a good place to hide it, I reccomend the very bottom of your bed as that is normally the place where your parents wont check and if your rooms a bit messy, hide it under something for extra stealth but DO NOT hide it under your pillow ok. Your parents were once kids too so they'll probably know that spot
    3. Dont make yourself seem fast asleep, make you're kind of moving around a bit so it looks like you think they're not there.
    4. If they do 'the closing the door trick' do not just straight away get back on your screens, just slowly open your eyes and see If they're still there, if they are then just wait for them to leave.
If you followed all these rules correctly then you will hopefully become a master at hiding your screens!
    Yours sincerely, Speed

Tips from a professional all nighter person
    1. Dont wear headphones. (You need to hear foot steps.)
    2. Leave your device on the charger
    3. Before going on tiktok etc. make sure the volume is low
    4. leave your tv on so your parents don’t hear any sound coming from your device
    5. leave your device on your night stand/ dresser (if you have one ofc)
    6. If they ever end up coming in your room calmly but quickly form into a sleeping position and move into another (it makes it look more realistic)
    7. Make sure to keep your face partly in the covers incase they pull the light trick.
    8. If you’re scared that they’ll walk in on you and you’re bad at doing these things pretend to fall asleep the whole night until about 2-3 am. That way you will have a lower chance of getting caught.
    9. If you don’t have a dresser/nightstand leave the device on your bed but like put your hand on top of it and put your device facing the backside.
    10. Open your mouth, make sure you don’t let your eyes twitch, mess up your hair so it looks like you’ve been asleep.
    Good luck

What I do at night (for those who sleep in the same room as their sibling)
1: Make sure you set your brightness to a very low point but not too much, you need to see the screen.
2: If your parents come in, quickly off your phone, swiftly cover it under your pillow, and smoothly close your eyes. (Only works when uncharged)
3: Make sure your sibling doesn't wake up at all costs. Snitches are witches, and we don't want that.
4: When your parents do that "pretend to leave the room" trick, don't fall for it. Keep closing your eyes and if you hear footsteps inside your room, they're still there. Keep doing so until your hear the footsteps leading to the door and opening and closing.
5: Pretend you're asleep by fake snoring. This can maneuver your parents out the door if they are inside.
6: Don't get back to playing so quickly. Keep pretending to close your eyes until the coast is clear. Slowly open your eyes slighty if you want to confirm if they're gone.
7: Make sure you do everything you need to do before bed. (brushing your teeth, etc) This can further make you unsuspicious.
8: Timing is key. Close your eyes immediately after the door opens
    Hope this helps :)

    Rules of staying up late
    1. Never lay so your device is facing the door make sure you are facing the door
    2. If someone comes into your room put your device next to you if you usually do or put it under your pillow just hide it, I listen to music so my parents know I have put my phone next to me.
    3. A way to check if people are asleep pretend you woke up and had to use the bathroom (my room is in a little hallway of 3 doors so if I stand by the bathroom door I can see the living room and if the TV is on)
    4. This is optional you can lower your brightness
    5. NEVER EVER listen to music really loud or anything loud.
    6. If you want a drink make sure it is in your room and make sure you don't crumple the bottle
    7. I don't recommend using a laptop or MacBook use a phone or tablet
    8. Never stay up with lights on if you have LEDS or a nightlight that's fine you can also use your phone flashlight just lower the brightness and font use the flashlight under the covers it heats up really fast I almost burned my blanket TvT
    9. Listen for any sound or footsteps if you think you hear anything turn off your device and pretend your sleeping
    10. don't make any sound no squealing no screaming or anything I know it's hard TvT
    11. If someone checks to see if you are awake and "closes the door" wait at least 5 minutes or more then you should be good just keep your gaurd up
    12. If you want snacks stay away from wrappers and anything that will make a crumbling sound unless you know it won't make noise
    Hope this helps c:

    tips for staying up late:
    - never get back up until you hear footsteps going down the hallway
    - don't stay up with the lights on, that makes you more suspicious
    - go into a position that you would wake up in, so you look like you're asleep
    - if you're like me, you can just faceplant on your book to pretend you fell asleep reading (this trick worked so many times i'm not even kidding)
    - if you get food, try to avoid snacks with loud wrappers

More rules when staying up late:
Lay down in a comfortable position you’d sleep in (DO NOT LIE ON YOUR BACK)
Make sure you have a very quick and easy place to hide your device so you’d make no noise hiding it (it’s best if you have a blanket on you can tuck it into quickly)
    Never get too comfortable!
Do not sit up, stay lying down.
If someone is to come in your room you have to control your breathing, deep inhales deep exhales.
Keep your brightness at its lowest and have dark mode on everything you have.
Have a single earbud (NO HEADPHONES) in that on the side of your head that’s on a pillow.
Keep your volume at the very lowest possible, keep vibrations on the lowest setting, make sure silent mode is on, and don’t go on apps you know will end in you getting a lot of vibrating notifications (Instagram, discord, etc)
Always be alerte, constantly look out for footsteps and the smallest of noises.
If a parent (or someone else) comes in unexpectedly DO NOT TRY TO PLAY IT OFF do not move or roll over.
When you know someone came into your room do not move until the door closes and you know they have gone away (BE ABSOLUTELY SURE)
If you share a room with a snitch or a rapid offender (someone who gets caught often) it’s best to not stay up often because you WILL be dragged down with them in any punishment they get.
If you try to teach the rapid offender to hide and properly be discreet and it doesn’t work the first time just give up it, won’t ever work.
DO NOT WATCH FUNNY VIDEOS YOU WILL BECOME THE RAPID OFFENDER
    Good luck stormtroopers

    very good tips:
    1. Turn your brightness down
    2. When they go outside of the room or when you hear the door close, still pretend for another few minutes.
    3. If you want to wake up and you’re scared if your parents are in the room, then you pretend that you’re like just getting worked up by the noise.
    4. Always be prepared when they are going to come into your room.
    5. When you are pretending to slowly open your eyes and act like you’re really sleepy
    6. If you sleep really weirdly, maybe in a weird position or you sleep with your mouth open and or if you do anything different do that when you are fake sleeping, even if it’s really weird to do it awake

  • @RyukoAnimatez
    @RyukoAnimatez Před 5 měsíci +3

Might as well share some tips
    1. Before you turn on your device, make sure that: Do not disturb is on and Volume is off
    2. Parents have advanced to find phones under pillows, so try more creative hiding spots. Like your closet or drawer under your bed (If you have one.)
    3. If sneaking out your room, then audible distractions like wrinkly chip bags, creaking doors and floorboards can be considered a hazard. Think of it like you're playing a stealth game.
    4. The "close door behind themself and wait for you to fuck up" trick is a obviously dangerous hazard to sneaking during the night. Play the waiting game, I don't care how long it takes, If you want to sneak on your iPad or whatever, then do it. They will leave eventually, and then it should be. clear.

    Tips from a professional lol
If you hear a noise hide phone quickly and wait 3 minutes if you hear another sound wait a bit longer.
If you got nowhere to hide your phone, lay on it, it seriously helps never got caught doing that
    Never leave lights on
    Go under covers a little
    Face door
Put a stack of pilliows on bed (the side facing door) sleep like that ever night it seriously helps to hide and not get caught.
If eating drop food on blanket (hopefully wrapped), it will seem as if you fell asleep and forgot to put it away. Adding other snacks or stuff on bed helps, it being less suspicious.
Also if you turn and turn AND TURN then i recommend moving a little and turning to another side that will help.
If you take the blankets off you at night stick your foot out to make more realistic it will also work if you dont even know what you do (Before they open the door)
If you snore then open your mouth a little.
If you have a lock on your phone put your phone on the floor or counter or bed somewhere beside your feet.
I think you know the basics if not check other comments... Like? ❤

    1) Always make sure to listen to any footsteps. Do not have headphones on.
    2) Have a good place to hide your screen. I personally think under my stomach will be the best because they will never find it
    3) Dim the light of your screen so that if your parent comes in and checks up on you they won’t see the bright light
    4) If they do the closing door trick DO NOT right away go back in your device. Squint your eyes open a little so that you can see if their still their or not.
    5) Make sure that your phone is COMPLETELY silent, on do not disturb, or sleep mode. IT WILL HELP

As a professional who stays up late A LOT, these are my tips for staying up late (im currently sneaking rn)
•1 always have your brightness to the lowest setting possible and turn on dark mode if you haven't already. Also keep all the lights off. Not a single light on because your parents might see the light.
•2 Make sure you turn the volume off before you turn on your phone, because the last thing you want is blasting loud sounds coming from youtube videos- your parents WILL hear that and you'll get caught
•3 If your door is usually open at night, keep it slightly open but not closed so your parents dont find it suspicious
•4 Always find a spot for your phone to go if your parents do come in, and turn it off as quick as possible.
•5 This might be hard for people without strict parents, but TRY to hear footsteps at least 10-15 seconds before you think if your parents are coming near your room. If you hear footsteps right at your door and quickly put your phone away, you have very high chances of getting caught.
•6 if you want to watch tiktok, youtube or any app with airpods, only put 1 airpod on, so you can still hear if your parents are coming or not
•7 Always have your phone charged before you decide to stay up late, you dont want to have your phone on 5%
•8 Dont go under covers, I know a lot of people do this but i dont recommend that much because it gets very hot under your covers and if your parents do come in, theyll most likely know your under the covers.
•9 If your parents do walk in and you fake sleep, keep fake sleeping for another 2-5 minutes just in case your parents are at the door waiting for you to get caught.
    Hope these helped!
