Car Runs The Crossing With Train Coming! LONG Train Leaves CSX Interchange, Enters Norfolk Southern

- Another Railroad Crossing Runner Races A HUGE Train With A Hard Working DPU Shoving On The Rear! Norfolk Southern Train Leaves CSX Interchange For Its Own Tracks. We Also See A CSX Local Switching Train In Top & Tail Mode. Also Included Is A Fast Train Going Over A Bridge Next To Another Historic Bridge. Look At The Soybean Spill In The Main Line Track! These trains are in Camden and Hamilton, Ohio on the Norfolk Southern Newcastle Sub and the CSX Toledo Sub.
We start just north of Camden to go to my favourite bridges. We see a fairly fast NS intermodal train and then we head to Hamilton on this same route. Check out the Norfolk Southern mixed freight with a DPU pushing on the rear as it diverges from the CSX line to its home line en route to Gest Street Yard in Cincinnati. A small blue car races across the tracks as the gates are being lowered.
Did I forget to mention the Top & Tail? That is railroad jargon in the UK that means a train has a locomotive on the front and on the rear. I got that from a viewer.
We also see Norfie and the dogs at the end. Don't miss the slide show that comes from this video.

That was a short NS intermodal, but the old iron bridge is awesome! So many of them have been closed or removed, so it's nice to see one still in use! 😊😊😊❤❤❤

For all the times when you have been concerned about 'shooting into the sun', there has been MAYBE only once that I thought it made a poor shot. Overwhelmingly, you have good video quality even in those situations.
Now for my vote about your potential DPU announcement phrase:
Please stay with the "DPU, I See You" because I'm a HUGE FAN of Fred Flintstone and as weird as it sounds, I hold the "Yabba Dabba Do" catch phrase as relating strictly to Freddie and the "DPU I See You" catch phrase as yours. Kind of like "One of these days, Alice" is related to Ralph Cramden (Jackie Gleason) in 'The Honeymooners'.
Okay. So there you have my two cents worth, but you got it for free so no refunds or credits are available. LOL!

That pile of soybeans in the middle of the tracks is interesting. I wonder how the pile got there. It looked like a train stopped in that area and someone opened and then closed a gate on a covered hopper car to create that pile of soybeans. There is no sign of soybeans trailing along the tracks to or from that location. It is obvious that there are no pigeons in the area. If there were pigeons nearby, you would have had to fight the pigeons to get near the pile to show the pile of soybeans to us. That was a quick Norfolk Southern intermodal train that you caught at the bridge over Seven Mile Road. The CSX local that you caught in Hamilton, Ohio with the top and tail engines was pulling several covered grain hoppers. That was a long Norfolk Southern train heading to Gest Street Yard that passed you. There was a variety of freight cars on this train. That DPU saying that was suggested is right out of the Flintstones.
Starting Friday the whitewater valley railroad will be running the polar express south of connersville indiana. It will be pulled by the only two functioning lima hamilton locomotives, and a steam heat car using a steam whistle.

After the local passed, at first I thought another train was coming on the other track because it took a while for the gates to go back up.

Hey jaw tooth lots of live action son . In Hamilton Ohio the cars were crossing tracks are not runners. Crossing wasn't actived yet. Gates started down few seconds after 4rth car crossed . Have a great railroad day 🙋♀️🚂

Question for the all knowing maha-jawtooth... I went on a church mission trip to Hamilton, OH in 1985. We stayed at a hotel beside the railroad near where you are. There was a local yard directly across the mainlines in the back of the hotel. Was not far from Butler St if I remember. I remember several Chessie GP9s tied up at the office. It was northwest of downtown. Do you remember that yard? We drove up from West Georgia and spent almost a week. It was my first time seeing Chessie and NW units. The hotel was two story and wrapped around a pool in the front. Not too far from the Amtrak station if I recall correctly. It must be long gone as I cannot find the yard on Google Earth. Anyway...love your videos. I got a few from the Deep South if you are interested.
