I like how they tried to goo back to the roots with BF3 and BF4 but i would prefer Battlefield Bad Company 3 the bad company part of the series was always awesome and the gritty look to it made it even better plus it they were the only battlefield games with a good campaign.

Howley freaking moley that game is a freaking legend and the reason why there isn't a third bad company out yet is because even the developers don't don't know what made the second one so good! BFBC2 is the best modern battlefield (BFBC2 - BF3 - BF4 domain). Really, the BF3's and BF4's engine is a renamed copy of the engine BFBC2 uses. When I started the BF3 multiplayer game for the first time switching from BC2, I couldn't notice the difference until I spotted an enemy jet.
Only new thing were the infantry and vehicle perks and obstacles you could jump over, with some mere jets (yeah, the ones that don't even carry the bombs unless you obey the money hungry sons of f*cks and unlock A-10 or SU-25 by buying their stinking DLC). Nothing new in the modern gaming world.

I'm not a Battlefield veteran by far, but I think BF3 is the best game I have ever played! My first taste of Battlefield was with BFBC2 (a great game). I am, however, sorry to admit I converted from CALL of DUTY! Their terrible attempts at modern combat put me off so I chose Battlefield (never regreted it)! CALL of DUTY should go back to WWII style shooters
Dude i came from Call of Failure as well,got my first battlefield (bf3) and never looked back,i have since jumped on other games such as payday 2,but i still play bf4,bf3,and bc2(my fave) But the be fair i do think call should hop back on the band wagon of WWII instead of the junk they are producing now.
Dude, I can from COD two, I was sick and tired of small maps and boring campaign, so I got BFBC2 which I loved I played that for about a year and then I bought BF3 which is one of the most beautiful games I have ever seen, COD has nothing on Battlefield

My personal favorite is bf4. It's quite an unpopular opinion, but I love playing that damn game. Bf3 and 1943 are close seconds then bad company.
It kind of sucks that BF4 gets bashed so hard for its launch but it's much better now and should judged on what it is not what it was

Hope DICE take back the same system as they had in the early battlefield titles. Repair mortars, bridges etc. for commander. And i also want a WWII game from DICE again. Frostbite 3 with HDR audio. Full destructable environments. Hopefully bullet physics and destruction physics and soft body physics for vehicles and terrain physics. I love physics in games, makes things so interesting. Submarines, spitfires and german Tiger tanks on huge battlefields. More classes also.Bring it to me!
Freffo a WW2 game with the frostbite engine would be pretty dope but I'm not feeling the whole let's go back to WW2 like everyone, I really like the more modern time's for military shooter's. I mean we had so many WW2 game's before I'm all worn out on it but I can't deny it wouldnt be cool.
Delicious bae Yeah, i like modern combat. But if DICE could bring back the classic type of gameplay and just erase some gamemodes that is not possible for the consoles to handle it would be great. It's really on the edge everytime they release it on consoles to even make it playable with 30-50fps in 900p. Just focus on 100% multiplayer instead of a storymode. I don't mind a vietnam game either.
BC2 is my all time favourite, it just made you feel directly involved in what went on around you.

Battlefield 2 and all it's expansions are still the best IMO. I own BF3 and BF4 and still play BF2 more than either of them put together. BF2 also has some kickass mods. It has 1942 and Vietnam mods, too, so you can basically play BF1942 and BF Vietnam with better graphics. PR, AIX, and Sandbox are freakin awesome, too. BF2 is the best if you ask me! And a lot of people still play online.
i remember battlefield 2 where everyone used teamwork to win and when every joined a squad but not in the newer battlefields where its just a another call of duty game were everyone is worried there K/D and if there #1 no teamwork at all! if you with me dig up that old copy of BF2 and download project reality where there is teamwork

Gotta say I love how you actually went back to the beginning of the series on these videos. Too many people only have experience since BF3, or possibly the BC games. The grew up with Battlefield games on consoles, so they never actually saw what it was before. It's the same with series like Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, Call of Duty, and Medal of Honor. They were all their own thing at one point, but after CoD Modern Warfare took the world by storm, everyone wanted to copy that success, and the shooter went to shit.

This brings back so many good memories. I was around age 10 when my dad got 1942 and i played that and most of the other games growing up. Played 1942, Vietnam, Battlefield 2 and special forces, 2142, Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3...so all the best ones! Its hard choosing a favourite but it'd be between 2 and 2142 as i spent most hours on those two. Or 3...just because of Metro! haha

You probably already made up your mind but from my experience between bf3 and bf4, I like bf4 the best. You can pick it up off the microsoft store for like $10 new. None of the battlefields look all that great on the 360 though. Its just a really old system.

BC2 was sheer perfection. And Vietnam was just glorious. How DICE could let EA downgrade BF3 and BF4s destruction, smoothness and overall gameplay from Bad Company is beyond me.

Even with the issues with BF4,the best part of Battlefield so far has been putting together a platoon with someone who has become a brother,having great leaders in the platoon who are the same and having such a tight knit group of people that are like family.The best part of the whole expierence after all these years are my OPU family. What a awesome group of people. Laughs,humor and lotta fun. Oh yes,and kicking ass together!

I am so in love with BFBC 2. I wish more Battlefields were like that, it's really THE best Battlefield game I have EVER played. And the best Modern Warfare era FPS I've ever played. Yes, Battlefield 2 was good, but I like BFBC2 better. The sheer amount of fun! The hours upon hours of multiplayer! The amazing multiplayer! The need for cooperation! It was so great. I don't think any Battlefield will be this good again, not with EA's stupid deadlines.

Thanks for the replies guys, I ended up getting BF4, and I definitely like it. Only time it can be frustrating is when I face a good team of 4-5 guys who are playing together, because I play solo usually my team mates are useless and don't play the objective.

BF2142 was the peak of battlefield. From there on it became a money hungry piece of shit that only focused on charging money for stuff that should have been in the game in the first place.

Although i did like how you could kill someone by smacking them in the head with the barrel of your tank.

the bad company 2 multiplayer left such a bad taste for me. not because it was bad, but because I got team killed so many times because I loved running the M1 Garand and apparently my team wanted it too run it too -_-

yesh. I wish they would just make an expansion, the game is great as is, and the maps...after all these years are a classic created. bf 1943 is definitely underrated

A lot of people are whining about how the new generation of gamers only care about the graphics. You need to realize, that gaming is in its best state it's ever been in, in the year 2011 and beyond. Graphics are now an essential quality that makes up a good game. Your nostalgia is telling you the opposite, that a good game doesn't need good graphics, but graphics are a key element!
Star Wars battlefront II's graphics were state of the art, and people are complaining that dice will be focusing on the graphics in the new one. It's not that the graphics didn't matter back then, it's that those were all we had.
You all need to lighten up and except change, as scary as change may be, we must accept it as the players of the games!
FizzyRaygun Please don't speak, its not just good graphics, its also games are so much easier and are made for morons, they take no skill, launch like shit, have bad hit detection, and have tons of bugs, Games are dumbed down today, and entice people because they look good. The gameplay lacks depth and skill.
battlefieldplayer98 It's all economy. As much as we hate it, we have to accept it. Once in a while we get a gem of a game, (looking at L4D3) but people just need to learn to deal.
