Researching can be long and tedious and you've provided us with a ton of helpful information. And so I appreciate all the work you had to put in for this video. Thanks!
I'm glad you found the video helpful. :) Thanks for watching and commenting!
Excellent video. You saved me a tremendous amount of time, thank you!
I started learning to draw with my pen and through the lessons I developed from my drawing level, and I am happy but I am still continuing my drawing lessons
06:49 Complete ASMR when you shuffle the pens in your hands! Great video overall though, helping me make good choices, thanks!
Can I just mention some pens I came across today Claudia: Tesco's own brand called fashion colours, they are a pack of 10 and I think I paid £2.50. The brand I have used which I do like, which I don't think you've reviewed are Saedtler's, they do a set of coloured ones as well of the stick ones which I think are only the basic colours. Someone else suggested Zebra ones but I didn't really like them, but I may of got the wrong ones. Haven't really lauched into colour with ballpoints yet, but inspired by your jaguar.
colin reid That's great! The best thing about ballpoint pens is that they're so affordable that you can try whatever you find and you might stumble across some hidden gems. I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled when I'm back in England this winter to see what Tescos has to offer. :)
$1 tree in the US has an awesome 12 pack that comes with a really yellow pen and they last forever.
That's good to know! I've also heard that Daiso sell a set that contains a yellow. Unfortunately there's no Daiso or Dollar Tree anywhere near me as far as I know, but it's definitely helpful for those who have access to them :D
Just picked up the set at the dollar tree just for the yellow ballpoint. Hopefully it works, been on a really long mission for a yellow. Can't seem to find the bics pocket with the yellow or peach colors.
The bics pocket scents are difficult to find, I couldn't find them on the US amazon and the only place I could seem to find them otherwise was UK amazon. Good to know that you have found a yellow though!
Claudia Sketches yeah, I contacted Bics through their website and they told me the bics have been discontinued in most countries. They said it didn't sale well so they just took them off the market.
Jose Ontiveros That's great information, thank you for taking the time to send them an e-mail and sharing it here! I can imagine why they didn't take off, they seemed quite expensive for a novelty set of half-size ballpoints. Shame though!
looks like pilot now has more colors: (do you think these are ball point pens?):
Pilot Precise Grip Liquid Ink Rolling Ball Pens, Extra Fine Point, 7-Pack Pouch, Black/Blue/Red/Green/Purple/Turquoise/Pink Inks (28864)
Suzanne Johnson I don't really consider liquid ink or gel rollers as ballpoint pens (in the traditional sense)- although some hybrid pens do feel incredibly similar to oil based ballpoints. Gel pens have water based ink and they don't tend to layer as well as oil based ballpoint pens- the ink that's on the paper tends to get picked up with the next stroke. It also can be hard to layer the two different types of ink together. Standard ballpoints have a sort of thick, slick feeling to them (less runny/juicy).
When I'm home I'll have a look at each particular line to check- but I'll try and get back to you when I can :)
Thanks for letting me know. I was confused by the "ball pen" in the name but I really need to look for "ball point pen" . By the way I found the info you provided very helpful and the video you did of using pens impressive. You have perfected your talent.
Suzanne Johnson Thank you so much! Glad I could help :)
Are there any archival type of ball point pens?
Fred Forsey I believe so, but the brand escapes me! I have a feeling that they only come in limited colours and are relatively expensive. I remember searching lightfast ballpoint pen (or similar search terms) some time ago on the Jetpens website and a few results came up. Not sure if this helps, let me know if you find anything and if not, I'll try and dig around for them online. :)
yeah i hate the blobbing
