Poke Genie: How to join Pokémon Go Remote Raids Everywhere

- Are you struggling to find Mega Raids or 5 Star Raids in Pokémon GO? Do you need to find more people to raid together with you at your local gym?
Poke Genie has a great new feature, Poke Genie Raids, which allows you to connect with other Poke Genie users around to world to join and host remote raids anywhere.
Poke Genie describe themselves as being a safe, accurate, and fast all-in-one companion app for Pokemon Go. It includes a raid coordinator, IV calculator, pokedex, battle simulator and a Pokémon name generator. As far as I know, Poke Genie does not mod or spoof Pokémon GO or directly interact with the game in any way - it simply connects you with people who want to raid together - so I don't think that there will be any problems if you raid like this. That said, I can't guarantee that it isn't breaking any rules.

This app is such a huge game changer for me.
I'm also a rural player. We travel into town often for work and stuff but raiding was always impossible for me. Now it's not! Yay!

I used pokegenie to join a raid for the first time today. worked like a charm, maybe 3-4 minutes from joining the queue to boss defeat. Mega Tyranitar was the target. As a rural player, whose friends that play live 2000 miles away, this is a big boost in game play.

Appreciate the tutorial, just did my first remote raid using Poke Genie and got a Dialga, personally didnt have any issues.
You just help discovered this in 2022🤯 I could’ve been doing remotely from anywhere, since I moved into this rare European country in Moldova. I literally haven’t raided 5 star raids because i literally don’t know anybody here who is into PoGo.

Another quick tip, for anyone who might benefit, is to host with a friend.
My boyfriend and I find local raids together then host them at the same time. It makes it a lot easier if some people don’t show up.
The one we just did, all 5 of my invites joined, but only 3 of his. While they probably would have had a hard time with only 4 people against a level 5 boss (risking some of those people jumping out last minute as well), it was easy with the 10 of us.
That's an awesome tip for getting good lobbies. I'm currently trying to get my invite game down so I can invite real life friends on my main account and invite pokegenie raiders on my side account

Appreciate the tutorial. Ever since I changed jobs, I couldn't do 5* raids as I don't have a PoGo community near me. I knew about this feature in PokeGenie, but I guess me being lazy, was just waiting for a well explained tutorial on how to do this, so thank you!

Rural players have it bad when it comes to raids. Poke Genie is an absolute godsend

I've been using this heavily to raid. It is convenient and (mostly) ensures you will have the right amount of people. The only downside is that remote passes cost money. I have so many unused Premium Raid Passes that are essentially worthless because people don't go out to raid anymore.
I really wish they would combine premium raid passes and remote raid passes into a single item. I always find myself having too many of one and not enough of the other

If you live in a area with lots of gyms, you can walk around during raid hour and host using your normal passes.

@@TeriCentner does this actually work? I don't wanna accidentally use up my good ones if I try to host seeing as I never hosted before anyways. I would rather host if that's the case it would definitely be easier on my pockets lol

Dont forget the questionnaires. I got penalized for not filling out my host survey. Evryone got added and invited but someone probably reported that i didnt say invites were sent. 😂
I live in the states do I have to pay for the pro version and in the simplest steps how do I join the raid when I'm finally up in line? I just tried before and turned pokemon go on quickly added the host as a friend but were not friends yet so how could I join the raid using pokemon genie?
You shouldn't have to pay to use the raid feature.
Firstly, make sure your profile on poke genie is filled out with your correct username and trainer code
Join the queue for the raid and, when prompted, send the friend request in Pokemon Go.
The next step is important.... Go back to poke genie and select "friend request sent"
Once the host sees everyone is ready, they should send invites. If they don't, you can send feedback in the raid questionnaire in poke genie

Is there a way to pick the country you play the gym in? I find the raids I play in china, Japan etc. I am unable to catch the Pokémon. I live in the USA
Joining hasn't been an issue, able to access but when it's time to add the trainer code switching back to the poke genie app, it's either opt me out of it or says the time has expired within the switching back to.

Thanks for the video, i have now try one raid invite, and i was good.
A tip to send invite, is to give all a nickname og number, then you can search them all buy the nickname, and send 5 intive , whitout using time to find them. :-)
If you switch back to Poke Genie app before sending the raid invite in PoGO, it will automatically copy the trainer names to your clipboard, so all you have to do is paste into the search field. If there are players who spelled their trainer name wrong in Poke Genie, you will have to go back and find them though.

Great video, but i can't see pictures of Pokemon in the raid section in poke genie. Anybody else there has that issue? Or maybe there are simply no pictures
On mine, some of the raid bosses have pictures and some of them have question marks
I'm not sure where the app pulls those images from. Perhaps it gets them from our own Pokémon scans...??

You don't need to sign in to Poke Genie with your account, but if you want to join or host remote raids you should correctly input your trainer code and name so that everyone can add each other properly

Joining a raid on iOS is identical to android with this app. Don’t know about hosting as I haven’t done that x

Had to watch this was having trouble on the app. Made.it to an invite but that invite pop up and was gone. I had the host on my friends list but it just showed who recent caught pokemon. I reported that I had a issue but still got the 30 min penalty.
Just to know dont want to be banned so do you get banned for that?
Nope. Poke Genie simply facilitates friend finding, which is perfectly legal.
How do you add Pokémon to you poke genie. Because I can’t join any mega charizard x raids and I’m getting very mad and little Timmy here is also mad please help ASAP thanks shawty
Hi. So on Android you need to use the Poke Genie overlay to scan them. The best order is like this.
1: start overlay
2: open the appraisal s screen and hit the overlay button to scan it
3: go back to the screen with the attacks and scan them
You need both the Pokemon appraisal and attacks scanned. If you can't scan the attacks, you can enter them manually through the overlay.

Note that in that video I just ivision which scans them automatically without tapping the button, but manual scanning should also work
Finally, it's quicker and easier if you concentrate on scanning the counters that you plan to use against mega char x
I get the screen saying "ready", but raid never starts. What am I doing wrong? Must i Be on POke genie or on POkemon go? Whay do I have to do to start raid?
Once the whole raid party are marked as "ready" you have to wait for the host to send invites. There's a chance that the host didn't do that part properly. Did you see "raid invites sent, get ready to raid in Pokemon Go"? If you did, jump back into Pokémon Go for the invite

I can't get the to go to the Raid because of I did not have enough Pokemon for Top Counters. But after putting in Top counters, still do not get the invitation for the RAID .'(
Does it still have the "info" button instead of "join"?
If you unfriend someone after a raid and they are still catching the Pokémon will it kick them?

No, it doesn't kick them. I highly recommend staying friends long enough to get your 3000XP good friends bonus first, though.
I used my only remote raid pass on a mega gyarados and only 2 others joined.
I wasted my only damn remote raid pass because only half or less of the lobby ever joins

Make a party with no pokemon in it then select that in a raid lobby, if ppl back out on you last second you wont waste the pass because it doesnt put you in the raid itself and if they dont back out switch back to your party you want to use and join right away

I tried this app and I keep getting the raid invites but they don't show up AT ALL and I have no clue why 😭😭. Any help would be appreciated to understand this

I actually spoke to Poke Genie support a while ago about this, and they said that, in a future update, they hope to change it so that, if a host leaves, raiders who couldn't get in will be put to the front of the queue.
Take this with a grain of salt as it was a casual email, and not an announcement or anything. But if this happens again you should report that you couldn't get in, then try to rejoin the queue
