Complete video - Album: Right Between the Eyes, Year: 1989, Tracy Wallach bass, backing vocals, Drew Bollmann guitar, Dan Wexler guitars, Jerry Harrison vocals, Pat Dixon drums
1st and 2nd were best, but had two different feels. The first was very raw and in your face. The second was very mature and had a more developed tone. Great band! Still listen to many of those songs. Wish they had been more known.
Debut release was amazing.Great guitar work. World War is one of my faves. On Your Feet or Rock and Roll Maniac could have easily become arena faves. Iconoclast. On and on. Great songs.🤟🎶
The lead singer was just on Dr. Pimple Popper for a lump on his neck. Decided to come here and check them out. He is now a funeral director and keeps an amp and guitar in his hearse lol 🤘🏻
Just love love love this musical masterpiece!!! Early icon is fabulous but this song for me is stratispherical! This music is what is lacking today and im so grateful to have been amongst this era to enjoy/appreciate real talent.
Saw and met them in Cincinnati in 1989 on the Right between the eyes tour front row - it was nothing short of amazing and have pictures of me on their tour bus and from the show still. Great memories finding this video. - Thanks for posting and taking me back in time
Thanks for posting this. These guys rock! I can't believe I haven't heard of ICON until just lately. I'm finding so many good 80's bands (here you youtube) that unfortunely didn't get any airtime on the shitty local rock radio station when I was a kid in the 80's. I mean these guys are really good. I gotta add ICON to cd collection.
Hell no! It's not even among the best on the album! Why they pick this unremarkable song as single and video? Who knows? "A Far Cry", "In Your Eyes", "Holy Man's War" "Forever Young" are way better ( and more catchy and memorable songs)!
As a younger patron of this great tunage, I love the history of these bands that each town and city in America, much like here, but much more there, had their own respective big billers. It's Kool as and fascinating, so many areas even for instance obviously in Cali, micro managed right down, every street corner had it's kings. It's like every major town and in America had the top band, like tours in just one state even. 🤣 Must have been amazing that.
Good God he has that David Coverdale twist for this so UNDERRATED band! They were so awesome on the first album and it took this one to put them on the scene again! \m/
I saw them on this tour open up for Ace Frehley and they kicked ass. First thing I said when I got that album he had that David Coverdale sound and I thought that album was more polished but I did see them on that tour. But I thought they would hit the big time but grunge took over
Benny Lockhart Razormaid great band! I know the bass player Dave Wix and Curt Mitchell one of the guitarists. They were in a band called Somebody's Kids back in the early 80's. They played a club here in my town, in Idaho and I hung out and partied with them for two weeks. Great bunch of guys got a bunch of pictures from those days. So who's your friend in Razormaid?
Great song, the voice is like a david coverdale Right between the eyes it's a great album, but Night Of The Crime And Icon is by far the bests albums of glam metal of 80's ever
lead singer got bit by a black widow spider and it screwed him up health wise..these cats packed the mason jar in phx with so many honeys it was fish in a barrel for us guys thanks icon
The only problem with this lineup was that the album came out with a very Whitesnake type sound, and there wasn't room for 2 which was too bad, Loved these guys, they rocked PHX even after Steve found religion, and John went rogue.
I dont think the '89 sound changed at all from their '84 and '86 albums. Different singer but the guitar tones and style sound the same to me. Whitesnake didnt put their first hair metal album out till '87.
@@Filmetal7 John was really angry for a long time after Steve found religion. He was a lot of fun when Icon was rockin the first 2 discs but then he got very dark. I wasnt buddy buddy with him,but did run into him ocassionally. That guy could really play and write some great hooks
Scandroid Slick Probably a new recorded album of Right Between the Eyes and Night of the crime or maybe Icon itself so we gotta wait what they come up to. I love Icon, Specially that song Out for Blood, Lot of adrenaline when you driving. Dangerous
Holy Crapatoah, not original lineup, but, Alice Cooper, Eddie Trunk, was involved in this band and, what, opened up for ACE Frehley...but??? This singer was on Dr. PIMPLE POPPWR??? Get outta fuggin' town, Bruther!!!!👍🙏🙏🙏🤘
@WingitMan27 I don't think they tried, I think they found Jerry, as the best singer available, and it just came out that way. When I lived in PHX, there were a lot of interviews with members and former members, and it just seemed to be a consequence of circumstances all happening at once. Still some great music.
They sold out before they ever had to think about selling out. This is like 1989 rock which is what ruined the scene. They never should've listened to anyone telling them to sell out.
Reminds me of "Father Figure" by George Michael...I know BLASPHEMY!! I was checking to see if this came out B4..so I could say GOO(I MEAN SUE) HIS ASS!!!! However it was the other way around...LOL!!
Criminally underrated band. One of the finest in the genre.
Very true my friend. Night of the crime is awesome. Steve
First two albums with Clifford were awesome.
Drew Bollmann is my son...still rocking on!!
Awesome! Great job mom! What's he up to?
icon's 1st lp will never be beat, it was their best work by faaaaar !!!!!!!!
Agreed 🤘
Night Of The crime is much better imo
1st and 2nd were best, but had two different feels. The first was very raw and in your face. The second was very mature and had a more developed tone. Great band! Still listen to many of those songs. Wish they had been more known.
ICON!!!
Probably the best band from the 80s.
A far cry is my favourite from this record.
🤘🇸🇪
The singer, Jerry was on Dr Pimple Popper tonight, to have a cyst on his neck removed. I don't recall ever hearing this band so had to check them out.
Yeah, I'm watching that now... I don't recall this band either... Great voice... Very much like Whitesnake...
I’m watching that episode now , came here to see if I remember them from MTV back then
I'm here for the same reason!
Debut release was amazing.Great guitar work.
World War is one of my faves.
On Your Feet or Rock and Roll Maniac could have easily become arena faves.
Iconoclast.On and on.
Great songs.🤟🎶
So good, that voice!!
The lead singer was just on Dr. Pimple Popper for a lump on his neck. Decided to come here and check them out. He is now a funeral director and keeps an amp and guitar in his hearse lol 🤘🏻
🤣🤣🤣 I'm watching it now and came here for the same reason..... 😁❤️

Just love love love this musical masterpiece!!! Early icon is fabulous but this song for me is stratispherical! This music is what is lacking today and im so grateful to have been amongst this era to enjoy/appreciate real talent.
Man... These guys should have been big back in the time!!!! THAT WAS A FUCKIN' SICK SOLO!!!!!
Nice guitar work
the 80's were so fucking fun!! Killed a lot of braincells though!! Good times!!
I miss this music, 80s metal was the best!!!!
Saw and met them in Cincinnati in 1989 on the Right between the eyes tour front row - it was nothing short of amazing and have pictures of me on their tour bus and from the show still. Great memories finding this video. - Thanks for posting and taking me back in time
Dang. That must’ve been a great show. I assume it was at Bogarts?
One of the first metal bands I ever heard back around 86 great year

is this one of the greatest rock tunes of the 80's or not!!!??? yes it iz!!!!!!!!!!
No

(update) JERRY HARRISON...still writing & singing great songs. He's still sounding REALLY GOOD!!
Nobody cares. He sucked in ICON and he sucks now. He was NEVER a rock singer. He was a pop singer put in a rock band.
Where can I find some of his musical material?
I remember Jerry....saw him many times in a music store checking out instruments and buying guitar strings!
I did their first official interview on TV! Still friends to this day!
Ass-kickin'. These dudes lit the Phoenix scene up, back in the day! Thanks for posting!

Saw Jerry on Dr pimple popper now the video . Didn't really know about the band but great video.

Great band great song.
It's a cool song and the music video is also cool. 😀👍🤘🎸
GREAT!
Excelente track, y video clip
Grande band
Una de las mejores bandas de hard rock de los 80
Still a great song i listen to them regularly
i'm getting lessons from jerry harrison from this band hes 46 now in bloomington no lies!!!!
Does Jerry have any active social networking?
A great band, that sadly never made it big !
Good song, but the first 2 CD's blasted this one away.
Agreed !!! Nothing beats those first 2 albums!
So agree!!!
Maybe those first two albums need to be remastered. The production quality was pretty bad.
This album is an improvement over the third one and just as good as the first two in my opinion
One of my favourite bands ,Night of the crime was one of the greatest albums ever . Steve
1 Rock in Rio 2024
very good
Dan Wexler!!!
Love this music these guys rock my world Arizona best
this banger rocks
Cool
Kayla Schulz
Beautiful😍
Lead singer is on Dr Pimple Popper now
Wasn't the same after Stephen Clifford left, the first ICON album was the best!!!
It was and the second one was pretty good too. I wore those 2 cassettes out
VRychenrollV
Me too!!! Night of Crime kicked ass!
Benny Lockhart
Icon and Rough Cutt should've hit it huge.
VRychenrollV
Rough Cutt was another amazing band! Look up my friend's band on here, they came out in 87' search "Razormaid - First cutt"
They gave Kingdom Come some rub’s !
absolutamente bestiales!!
They are back in the studio again hopefully late 24 early 25
Cool Band never heard them before
Hot desert nights is the best yet

Recently seen the lead singer on Dr. Pimple Popper. Cool episode.

Great song, the voice is like a david coverdale
Right between the eyes it's a great album, but Night Of The Crime And Icon is by far the bests albums of glam metal of 80's ever

As far as I know Capitol Records never funded any videos for that album.
they also did a cover of first cuts the deepest live and by the time they finished the ladies and the floor would be wet
Very good band that should have made it bigger.
I used to see them in phx all the time .Blew me away.does anyone know if he sang for anyone else after icon?
Not that I'm aware of
I saw them open For stryper? Early to mid 80's
@@laurenkosanovich6159 are you related to Paul (sorry If so RIP/just saw on Metal Archives about Passing
Jerry is the best!
me too
Sound like whitesnake singer.sound good
Was there ever a video from the ‘night of the crime’ album?
What is Stephen Clifford up to these days ? What a range and and inflection.
He actually works for some financial firm in Arizona. They were trying to do an ICON reunion and new songs, but it fell apart.
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
🤟
Never heard of this group untill today
Then you should listen to something from the first 2 alums with the original singer. Way better than this.
@@sebastianben the singer's voice is way better than Stephen's
Originally called the SchoolBoys because they formed in high school
Does anyone know have they done any videos for the Night Of The Crime album?
No, Clifford actually left the band just weeks after that album was released. What a great fucking album though.
Sounds and looks like Coverdale here.
I will be placing a better copy soon in about a week or so from an official source.
Singer even poses like Coverdale lol. Dont get me wrong, I like the song, but damn do your own thing
Lol I thought of Coverdale right away and this was my first time listening to this band.
3 Lola paloza 2023
Why does the singer remind me of David Coverdale?
lead guitarists: Vinnie Vincent Mark St John Bruce Kulick Tommy Thayer
drums: Eric Car and Eric Singer
thank you
That was kiss this is a different band
@johnheck Stephen Clifford is back with the original (minus bass player) ICON line up recording a new a album - watch this space....!
Awesome
+dieter schanzer still waiting :/
rented tux me too hahaha!
That actually fell apart. Unfortunately . I am friends with Dan Wexler on Facebook, I talked to him about it.
@@sebastianben why?

Whitesnake????
Is Dan Wexler still in the band on this album?
Yes
I heard Stephen Clifford is on the work again with Icon. But that song of Right Between The Eyes is a blast, lot of energy in that one
Richard Diaz new album?
Scandroid Slick probably yes.
Hell Yeah .can't wait
Scandroid Slick Probably a new recorded album of Right Between the Eyes and Night of the crime or maybe Icon itself so we gotta wait what they come up to. I love Icon, Specially that song Out for Blood, Lot of adrenaline when you driving. Dangerous

@xXCrAzYvIdSXx Is he the singer singing on this?
Esse cara tem a aparência do David Coverdale
E a voz também lembra a do coverdale
Os trejeitos também.
Man, if anyone can send me the MP3's for this band's first CD or all of em, I will love you forever! lol

Nobody cares about your shitty band
Dan Wexler wished he was Mr Lynch
Great song but I like the original vocalist!! Very underrated band that should have been huge!! Once again bad management destroyed this band!!
World War would have been a MUCH better song for a video ! Hands down !
This was like 4 years later and Different singer
Whitesnake
Man this looks like whitesnake back in the day.
Kinda sounds Whitesnake-ish only heavier
