The real question is why did the mavs ever ok this? If they needed to free up cap space, wouldn’t they do it literally any other way? This guy seems like the real deal and a solid role piece for a ring. Like put this guy on any team and he makes the top 7-9 players for the playoff rosters, or am I missing something ?

The mavs just picked up Klay Thompson. It's easier to move 1 role player vs. multiple for the same $ amount.
They let him go because Dallas upgraded with grimes. Ive watched every Mavs game since Green came in The league… He is a good role player… nothing to overreact or overthink. He isn’t going to change ur franchise. Passing and playing hard is his best ability. He is a good shooter… he doesn’t take a ton of shots though. Needs free throw improvement. Defensively he is decent but not special. He is very athletic but needs to work on finishing better. He will look to pass before he looks to score every time. If he was still on the Mavs he would be lucky to get playing time with the recent upgrades. He could be good enough to start on a contender maybe if he keeps his confidence level up (something he has had trouble with in the past.) To act shocked that the Mavs traded him is definitely overreacting… he isn’t that special lol. Green will be like the 5th-6th best player on ur team.
@@JohnnyBananas7x dude you literally just described the perfect player for the hornets lol. Every attribute you gave him is exactly what we need, if he didn’t fit for the mavs then that’s ok, but he is probably the best pick up we’ve got in the off season in a few years. Kelly oubre was a good pickup for his offensive aggressiveness but we weren’t competitive, josh green seems like he will keep up competitive in every game. But I’ll just have to be proven wrong on this I guess, because I believe if y’all wanted to stay competitive for a ring you’d still keep him. We shall see.
Plus Tre Mann and Lamelo play way faster than luka and kyrie, I think he will have a bit of a different role .
