This makes more sense for an outdoor camera. Maybe my house is a small shack but I don’t find the tracking or zoom lens necessary. I’d rather have an increased frame rate. I get why they use 15fps in low light but in bright conditions it should be at least 24fps.
This is good for bigger homes and retail businesses as well.

What I liked about the 2k pan and tilt, is that when it was off, the lens rotated back into the housing so you know it couldn't video record you nefariously.

Maybe they’ll hover above my rooftop, flying around my house like a drone for 24 hours. Then maybe they can even set up an air wall around the house to push strangers out of my driveways. Just dream big, haha.

Excellent review by LifeHackster as always. The S350 camera has a lot of features for the price. I personally would not have a camera in my home but I could see this being used in a nursery to monitor the baby or a pet left alone in the home during the daytime. The only negative is that the camera doesn't have color night vision but that could be possible by installing sensor lights that will turn on lamps so the camera could switch to color. this is pretty good, better than the wise cam pan which doesn't zoom and lower quality picture. wifi 6 makes it less laggy. I've had issues with Eufy cameras in the past though so maybe if they fixed those this is pretty good.
Thinking of using this inside my garage. Like others, I'm not ready for cameras inside my house. Planning to get the bundle deal that has the SoloCam S340, IndoorCam S350, Floodlight Cam E340,Video Doorbell E340 and HomeBase S380. It is literally everything I need to cover my house.
Is this a direct replacement for the old indoor ptz? Meaning, if I have the old one it will work on the same mounting bracket?

Any thoughts on my situation: I want to place this on my bedroom window sill. Since this looks out my backlane apartment parking pad. Or would there be better cameras for this situation.
Cool camera and great review as always. Personally I’m not sure why anyone would ever trust cameras inside their home but to each their own.
I only power on mine when I'm out, when only my dog is at home. I completely power the camera off using a simple remote clicker controlled plugin. I agree on such devices being able to see & hear, possibly even when powered down (plugged in). There's ways to track such covert internet/LAN traffic to see if indeed such spying happens behind one's back. 👁
You can schedule the privacy mode so that it will only turn ON when you are not at the house. I will eventually make a video on this type of topic.

Great review, could you setup a schedule to send you camera notifications when you’re away. I would like to use these in my business but I wouldn’t need notifications while I’m there.
You can customize it on the security modes..and change what the camera will do when you set it in "away" and in "home" modes.

Great video . I would suggest you could add one more check . If the app allows the 2 ways communication as a walkie talkie or it's like one press button and I can listen and speak to guy . Example ezviz allows 2 ways communication but s330 is like walkie talkie

Would the S350 be able to record through a window (night and day)? The window faces the walkway leading up to my front door.
I like the camera but i think it is werid when i set 'use only 4K camera in preview', it seems the nightvision is not that good as tele? I can always switch to tele when i check my camera and have better nightvision, but recording is always with 4K camera with less nightvision then?
If I ship this Malaysia and let my nephew install and set it up there at my house. Will I able to access the video here in Las Vegas?
is it RTSP enabled? does it stream the wide angle or zoomed-in view, or both?
Is it possible to set the motion detection to be automatically saved to the phone, or is it only saved to the SD card and then manually downloaded to the phone? If a thief gets into the apartment and destroys the camera, will the video be automatically saved on the phone?
How far down can this camera tilt? For example, could it see a pet on the floor if on a shelf or table?

Hello. How many devices can access that application at the same time? We want the camera to monitor an adult relative and several of the relative's sons want to have access to the visuals.
7:03 Man, the image stabilization in motion tracking mode is just brutal. It feels like being drunk to the point of passing out and trying to scan the room with your eyes one last time before it's lights out. The unstable audio fading in and out also doesn't do it any favors. Just so.... nauseating, lol. It should be nicknamed the "Drunk VR Cam". 😂
@SevenSixTwo2012... I personally wouldn't use auto tracking especially if the space that it is monitoring is small or the person will be too close. I will eventually install this in the ceiling to replace my 2K PT Eufy. Thanks for watching!

Why cant I use single lens with 3x zoom??? It only allow me to use the 1x lens when on single lens. If I put dual then yes I get both
Is continous recording only available if your homebase is hard wired to router? Or can it also work if your homebase is connected wirelessly to the router?
It should. The connection between the camera and the homebase is wireless and just between them (it doesn't use your WIFI network) and doesn't matter if the homebase is connected wired or wirelessly to your network.
The smoothing and stabilization is horrible - Have they updated anything since the release?

Great features and a nice camera other than why do 4k and then do it at 15fps? It should have done at least 24fps or 30fps.
The last Eufy pan camera I bought I stopped using as it almost always stared at the wall instead of my room
I personally don't use auto tracking but I will use the preset positions. Because this is camera based detection, people on TV can also trigger it and follow it.

Can this camera record 24/7 continuously (not just triggered sounds-motions) in 4k quality via wifi to the HB3 or cloud?
i think 4k is only for motions and liveview not the whole 24/7
I like the idea and the video sounds good. However I'm not sure if it's your house or the how the speakers are picking up your voice/sound but it sounds like your talking through a tin can with a hall echo feel.
It might be the house a bit echoey.. I'm not sure it that is the right spelling ;)

Yes.
I can not get it to connect to the Homebase 3, which is on latest firmware, do you know if support yet to come?
I am able to connect to mine. I have to run the setup again...it will try to connect to WIFI first then there is an Edge Option connection which will connect you to the homebase 3. You do need to be close to the homebase when doing this.

Nope. Motion detection (which how tracking works) and notifications are disabled in disarmed mode.

The camera unnecessarily follow a person around while the person is still in the frame. Can we customize the threshold before the camera starts following the subject? Unnecessary motion blurring

Is it correct that it only records 24/7 to a sd card? So no 24/7 to a hb3, events only.
I have mine connected to the HB3 and it is recording 24/7. You will see it in the timeline…events yellow and 24/7 are light blue.

Given how much YT downscales, I wonder if you would consider hosting a direct link on your website to a 15s sample of footage of the cameras when you review them? Personally I saw very little picture quality difference between this supposed 4K camera and all of Eufys 2K camera( A comparison with the E220 would not have been complimentary I suspect). I also wonder how much difference there is between just cropping in on the 4K sensor vs the zoom lens.
I would have liked more time spent talking about the picture quality as this is the key USP of this camera, why didn’t we see any footage of the zoom sensor on its own for example?

Technically, it can but not for long. It will drain the power bank quick.

I wish eufy would allow us to auto turn on and off the cameras when leaving the house. My old nest IQ cameras for 6 years ago do this. Don’t know why they can’t enable this feature.
Eufy needs to up the frame rate and add color night vision. They're stuck on that 15 fps kool-aid for too long.
