    The accuracy for MM is actually to one one thousandth of a mm or one micron .001mm. This video says one one hundredth or .01mm

      The gentleman recording this video is right. The accuracy of the micrometer is normally 0.01mm, while the resolution is 0.001mm. The last digital is an estimation number, 0.01mm is the actual accuracy.
