The crab tries to get to the other side of the street to get the cake and avoid getting hit by the cars. Similar to Crossy Road Game.

You mean without drawing additional platform sprites you want the game keep on going on a road or something? If so you can make the other sprite moving making it looks like it is moving.

check out this project, is this something you are looking for? so the Dino is jumping looks like it is moving but it is actually not moving the other background sprites are moving. scratch.mit.edu/projects/334019061/
