I look forward to new episodes of Ruth's beautiful home and gardens. I ordered Ruth's Hungry for Home book and it is not only a delightful complication of delicious recipes but also lovely photos of the farm through the seasons. I collect cookbooks and this book is one of my favorites. Thanks, Ruth for sharing your home with all of us.
I love her book, too! Well done!
compilation?
I love when you visit Ruth’s home ! It just makes me smile and feel so happy! Love the gardens!❤
I love every time they feature Ruth. She really needs her own show. I will be ordering her cookbook.
Love…ty for having Ruth share her life with us all. 😊
I will always jump at the chance to watch a show that has Ruth McKeaney! I have your cookbook, Ruth! The Short bread recipe is one of my favorites!
I love the ruins and really respect them for leaving them there.
I agree! My favorite part of the property is the stone ruins.
Eileen has the sweetest smile, you are blessed to have her as a friend.💗🌷🩷
Another absolutely wonderful video of Ruth McKeaney & her lovely home and gardens! Love meeting Eileen. What an amazing talent she is gifted with!
I have Ruth's lovely book and have followed her for a while now. I am still amazed at her stunning property and, of course, her cooking & baking creations!!
You are inspirational and down to earth...that's what is so awesome about watching her videos!
PS: Ruth how do you stay so slim with so many buttery & sweet treats you create? I am sure we all would love to know your secret to looking so amazing😘🙏!!
Thank you Ruth and Homeworthy🥰
Ruth herself has such a lovely voice. She sounds just like Meg Ryan, which is so nostalgic for me as I grew up watching her movies (especially Anastasia!). Everything about Ruth is so warm, welcoming, and friendly, and she has infused those qualities into her entire home.
The farm is a labor of love and it shows. I'm excited to see what you do for daughter #2 wedding. I have put your cookbook om my birthday list. Eileen has the ability to see a garden as an artistic painting where plants are her paints. I also appreciate how much work goes into your property.
Ruth makes me smile. Eileen was too cute when she first heard there were short brews bars waiting…her little nod of approval. Cute friends forever! 🏡
Glad Ruth makes you smile despite her rarely making the facial expression!
How can you not just love Ruth!! 🥰
Ruth's property is gorgeous.......I have to say I made her chocolate chip cookies and they are PHENOMENAL! Now is have to get her book!
Love Ruth and her home. Shortbread with the herb rosemary chopped in is so good and fragrant.
You know what! God is Amazing. I ordered your book about a week ago and I've been binge reading it everyday. Today, I stopped at the page where you have your shortbread recipe. I didn't read the recipe. I closed the book and decided to watch CZcams. Lo and behold, Homeworthy is featuring you today and your shortbread cookies...WOW!!!! When I got your book, I also made your chocolate chip cookies and they are the best cookies I've tasted. I have some frozen in the oven, ready to bake when the sweet tooth hits.
I love your book, so comforting and soothing. Thank you and God Bless!💞
You can spend your entire day in here and just be happy all the time. 😍
What is it about this woman that I love - is she the new Joanna Gaines?? Either way, I want her to be my best friend!! Her home and life style (including everything she wears) is my ultimate dream. Her property is, to me, the absolute best on Homeworthy….and I’ve watched A LOT of their tours. Only two others have come close (a property in England built from a gorgeous renovated stone barn and also a pillow designer’s Southern waterfront property with a gypsy vardos guest house) but nothing has topped Ruth or her stunning, stunning home, which speaks to my soul! I want to move in and never leave. The gathering barn and the gardens are what capture my heart the most but also the woodwork in the house makes me swoon too. I adore the slopped floors, the front door security system, the back staircase, the original windows, the exposed brick and that sexy beast of a kitchen island. I close my eyes and imagine Ruth’s voice in my head and let her (subconsciously) guide me as I try to invoke that utilitarian comfort in the things I choose to bring into my home in an attempt to replicate the feeling I see in her house. I’m thinking maybe if I become her stalker (no, not really), then perhaps some of her classic casualness will rub off on me. LOL
Anyhoos, I’m a fan! Where do I sign up?
Honeycrisp Apple Trees : So blessed to be a blessing ! Thank you for sharing.
Favorite videos at Hillside Farm ……always a variety of topics presented.
I think this might be one of the most beautiful homes you have featured
Thank you, Ruth! Just beautiful as always! Thank you for making us feel right at home!💛
My favorite aunt was named Ruth. I adored her and everything she did.
Oh, this was my special treat to watch today. I was totally in heaven. I would not have missed it for anything! Thanks Ruth for sharing together with your heart warming advisor/friend from England 🇬🇧
Q. Why do you always keep 9 lemons in a bowl in the kitchen?? Love you❤.
Ruth, your property is so beautiful. I wish I had a friend like Eileen to help me with my front and back yards. Thank you for the tour.
Another lovely episode, Ruth! Thank you for sharing your home and gardens.
Ruth is my favorite
Always looking to see what Ruth is up to!!! Love her programs. Blessings.
Hello Ruth, What a beautiful slice of heaven you have provided for you family! God Bless! Hugs! :)
Love Ruth, her hubs, and family. You can tell they are all invested in their ventures. When Ruth wants something her husband makes it happen....but i have no doubt she is the glue for them all. ❤❤❤
Ruth inspires me so much! I am going to plant alliums. I love Hillside Farm and each episode.
Love Ruth!! She is so inspiring. The farm is spectacular.
I hope they keep this series , and I hope they do a Christmas episode
Ruth, I tried your peanut butter pie recipe and my family loved it. Thank you so much.
Deb here. Ruth and her family work very hard and they have been blessed. Always a delight to see her videos.
I love this woman! Yes, it would be wonderful if she had her CZcams channel. I have made her choco chunk cookies twice now and they are delicious. Just made a pan of the shortbread and it turned out perfect and yummy!
I love watching her , she’s soo natural , I love her house , the design the recipes and most of all her sense of family. How I wish I could live in a farm like hers🥰🥰🥰
I so enjoy and connect with Ruth
Love this place, so charming! Thank you for sharing your home and recipes.❤
Yay, time with Ruth!
Appreciate all the hard work, sweat and probably tears that went into making your place so wonderful. Know that this didn't just happen overnight, the flash back photos show it! Amazing!!! 😍
Love Love Love your flower garden. Well done!
I love her graciousness and overall approach to life, but how on earth does Ruth manage to look so svelte with all that butter and sugar in her recipes? Amazing.
I make 12 dozen cookies at a time and never eat one
I just loved this Homeworthy tour...amazing tranformation of the property-in-progress for that is what a garden is! So many useful tips and Ruth and Eileen are so down to earth...just a delight.
Very much enjoyed this. Only thing I’d like to suggest is to remove the invasive honeysuckle and butterfly bush that you show and instead plant the butterfly weed and the native honeysuckle.
I love these episodes with Ruth especially in the gardens! Thanks for sharing 🌺
Ruth, your stone ruin gardens are truly amazing. They remind me of the ruin gardens at The Goodstone in Middleburg, Virginia. It’s always a treat to watch your episodes. ❤
You are so blessed to have Eileen, I would love to have her in my garden instructing me!
This was fun! Love the grounds of your property...now to make the shortbread (of course I have your cookbook!) Happy Summer!
Allium is deer proof?!!! Thanks for mentioning that. I’m going to plant some next week.
Beautiful, beautiful beautiful! 💜💜💜💜
Such a beautiful home ❤
I ordered Ruth’s book as well! Love her episodes!
Love, love , love ❤️
Love her place, beautiful ❤
Recently subscribed, and this, by far, is my favorite episode! Thoroughly enjoyable, inspiring, educational and entertaining. A most lovely home and grounds. I will search for more of Ruth's videos. Wouldn't it be wonderful if every novice gardener could have a friend like Eileen.
Such a great, informative video!
First time viewer😍 absolutely love your video. Beautiful property 🩷🪴
Awesome thanks.
I love the history of things you do and experiences.
Love farms and this is the most beautiful makeover I've seen yet. Thank you for sharing with us ❤
Love these vlogs and I’m ordering the cookbook soon. Everything you’ve made looks amazing
Love this!
Eileen is so knowledgeable love her
Wonderful!
Absolutely lovely video!
Received my book today LOVE IT
What a beautiful farm with stunning gardens. I love the aliums. I have to make those shortbread treats. They look scrumptious. Thank you so much for sharing.
OMG seriously jealous of the garden, flowers and lawns 😮 😅😊👍
This was fabulous! I feel like I have 2 new friends.
Love your rooster cutting board!!!! Behind you cooking
I should say above the oven
Love your videos...I have your book.
Thank youuuu
Love your channel ❤️👍❤️
I look forward to hillside farm
Epic
Yummmm... that shortbread looks amazing. When you said you could add things... my mind went immediately to lemon zest and lavender ! The basic recipe is so simple , even I can do it! I know you said 350'.. but did you say how long to bake it? Of course , the gardens are breath taking. Starting with so many large established trees is my dream! Everything takes so long to mature in a new garden.
i got a set of clear glass canisters on Amazon and they have a great seal to keep stuff fresh and the come with chalkboard labels and a chalk pen … they also sell chalkboard labels at Michael’s
I wish you had said what type of Allium and Lavendar. Your property is beautiful!
I would love to know what kind of allium you've planted! Gorgeous!
I think that shortbread would be wonderful with a bit of chopped rosemary added.
That ajuga looks like sedum to me. Its beautiful. Would it be hardy in zone 3?
It is sedum.
That hay rack planter looks small (shallow). Kinsman Garden supply sells sone I think may be larger. I always want as much soil around my plants to help reduce the watering required.
Your so sweet. IF I did that for my guests they would become squatters! I love cat mint bit cats Pajamas is what I found in my area..it's similiar. here in KY we have lavender farms and it does well here
Hi Ruth, I live in Bucks County, PA. Where in PA is your property, Hillside Farm? I love your videos, keep 'em coming! ❤ 😊
So is this becoming a series within a series?
Hoping we get to see parts of the wedding…
Just watched your utube videos and loved your ideas, hard work, family and family values, and very beautiful homes and property and gardens. What a wealth of knowledge you and your family have given us. Thank you. I just received my book and am enjoying your pictures, recipes and so much more.
Love love love your wonderful book.
Lovely episode! Please what type of allium? Are yours the globemasters? Perhaps the gladiators? At (30:00) they are paired with what type of blue iris? Thank you!
How do you keep the window box because I have two that are like them from getting the house wet because I have regular siding and I don’t want to rot this side of my house underneath my windows
Hi Suzanne. Slip some shims vertically behind the window box to fur it out from your siding a half inch for air circulation. A liner with a drain through the front an inch from the bottom will prevent the box from rotting for a long time. Hope this helps. Ruth is becoming a presence that has been missing don't you think? Oh, micro drip on a timer is really helpful for folks in sun that need to water twice a day!
Such gorgeous grounds! Brick patio covered in a foot of dirt over time! Stone building ruins! Just a dream the property is after so much work. Wouldn’t it be neat if you could find out what used to be there! Any very old people from the area who could help find out?
In reference to the alliums in the gardens by the driveway…..it was mentioned that they are in blooms all through the summer… which alliums did you plant ?
The tee pee is fun!!!
Your garden is beautiful. You must have a green thumb
Why doesn’t this special gifted woman have a CZcams channel?
Does anyone know the name of the allium?
Based on the height and and size of bloom , they are Ambassador variety. All alliums are gorgeous in spring ......but blooms only last 2 weeks tops not all summer. but so worth it !
@@judybrock5360 ok thank you!
what kind of catmint do you plant?
Inspiring gardening - has me thinking…..
Where do you get your T-shirts?
How long to bake shortbread?
Yes how long to bake the short bread? Love the recipe!
25-30 minutes until edges begin to brown in a 350 oven.
Thank you I am making it today!
Yum!
G.....o...r...g......e.......u....s.....❤
Am I going crazy or did she do the shortbread bars before?
“One of my favorite things is ajuga.”
Ma’am, that’s sedum.
It’s so weird to me that this woman is being positioned as the next Martha Stewart when she doesn’t seem to know what she’s doing at all.
It’s like asking someone with a full-time house cleaner how she keeps her home spotless. There’s no technique to learn here. The technique is pay a garden designer.
