- The finish line may feel like a long ways away, but the speed at which everyone is working means it must be getting closer!
In the span of a single day we had: concrete forming crew, concrete cutting crew, electricians, plumbers, framers, excavator and the dairy equipment crew. Seven crews in one day!! It means that stuff is getting done.
That includes some incredible work by our framers to move some old barn boards into the new barn office. It's going to be a great place to work and a great place to showcase a piece of the old barn!
On top of that, the manure system is getting put in, cow stall posts are getting ready to set, A LOT of taps are getting put in for the water system and a whole lot more.
You've got to see this progress to believe it.

REAL progress this week. You can start seeing the light at the other end of the tunnel. I have always said: "A construction project is like having a baby, it hurts like hell while its going on but you end up loving the end result."
You should get a milk taxi great stuff for calf feeding.
Mud and snow to the huts always held us back. Now that they will be coming inside we already have one ordered!
Have a concern about the drainage from the robots. That drain can be clogged with manure because it has no pressure in it. In our heifer barn we have a room where we mix milk and wash calf buckets that run out into a gutter and if it's not emptied enough at least under the pipe for a while it can become clogged. Maybe this is just how you it over there.
Good to know! Thanks
