Performance doesn't do the band justice because although they are "Durand Jones & the Indications" they aren't separate. Durand and the band are equally important to the music and I think having him separated even in the shots devalues the band. Love this band, they are the future of soul, can't wait to hear what they do next.
Chris Silver they are all wonderful and equally talented musicians . However , due to this shoot being on a bus / a private event people attended , it only seemed fair to have the crowd gathered where the most seating was available in order for the crowd to see down the line (it’s on a bus so the length of the ‘venue’ was elongated ) . Also factor in a video crew , audio engineers, and photographers into this mix. That way the band could have individual or group coverage both in photo and video form as a loving/supportive gesture from the Indianapolis arts community.
