"I'm a sucker for nostalgia cuz life is so awful" is an incredibly relatable thought.
I genuinely really appreciate the dynamic Adam brings to the podcast with his expertise in business management and the position he has himself. He thinks of a lot of these decisions in a business sense and it's important aspect that shouldn't be overlooked when reviewing wrestling!
I think Backlash should go to an Italian restaurant in Newcastle, that way we can send "Hollywood" Jack the Jobber to cover the event and he can take his laptop on a date; a double whammy!
Edit: tbh Bluey seems to be the only children's cartoon that's of high quality, it gets deep at certain points. As for scariest thing I watched, there was a SpongeBob episode which featured a person in a gorilla suit that invaded the episode, genuinely scared the life out of me

Listening to Adam talk about the cartoons reminds me, there’s a YT channel called Rinse Repeat that has dozens of uploads of old cartoon blocks with commercials. Really incredible bit of nostalgia. Worth a dive, you’ll get lost.

To Jack saying that NXT bringing up Kendrick and Drake was for no reason - Kendrick name-drops Shawn’s Sweet Chin Music in the song that’s become the most streamed in the entire beef
I agree it can seem lame that both promotions brought it up, but it is the cultural zeitgeist of the summer and Shawn was referenced in it. “Jabroni” was also used lol
I think it's fair for NXT to reference the beef then if Kendrick name dropped Shawn's finishing move

Jeopardy on CBBC is the best TV show of all time. It was a little bit like LOST but so much better. Loved this show forever, and no-one seems to remember it. An incredible pick.
That unlocked a memory! It was like Lost + Blair Witch but with aliens. Think I only ever saw the last two episodes which ended on a cliffhanger then it never aired again
2:42:01 in Not like Us Kendrick Lamar says he specifically is going to Sweet Chin Music Drake. Which I find interesting because I find Kendrick to be more of the Bret to Drake’s Shawn. NXT actually had the best base to reference the beef. I stand with NXT.

I really needed a 4+ hour chunk of good entertainment, it's a shame Ross isn't here and I hope he gets well soon.

3:38:04 hey jack, I felt compelled to sort of address this. there is a rapper from the group strong arm steady named krondon. he did an interview a while back where he addresses the use of the word "albino" to describe someone with albinism. he goes on to clarify that to say an albino person is offensive or something along those lines and also states that the proper way to refer to someone with albinism is just that. someone with albinism.
edit: i did a quick search and apparently the term is heavily debated and it varies based on context

Clearly Jack's punishment should be bringing a laptop to a restaurant in Italy. After taking the Eurostar to France, he could get a Mega Bus the rest of the way or travel to Italy on foot as one of his big walks.
Also, I might be wrong, but I thought the reason Jack had to do CM Punk promos while dressed as Scott Steiner was because he put off doing the first punishment for so long, he just decided to combine the two so he could get them both out of the way.
Flair saying that he put the restaurant over on the video was the best part.

This is the third time I believe they did. The batch of NXT releases for people that weren't really showing improvements. They have done it like every couple of years I believe because I remember one specifically in the pandemic and I believe there was one in 2022.
