The most impressive performance by a freshman in college softball World Series history is what Ashley Brignac accomplished in this game. 15 strikeouts of the nation's #1 seed Florida Gators who were 67-3 at the time. It is truly a tragedy that Brignac suffered an injury to her throwing shoulder her sophomore season but she never let that consume her. I will always be an Ashley Brignac fan. Think about this the next time you get down. This young lady never gave up even 1 run in her junior and senior years in high school. During her entire academic career, she never made less and an A in any class! To this day, she is the most impressive human I have ever met and I consider it a tremendous privilege to know her as my friend. I know that by God's perfect grace that one day in the future we will know each other in Heaven! May Jesus continue to bless you and your family Ashley! You are truly one of God's most precious gems!
