    Theory time! This gonna be a long one. My own theory on her:
    1. Just as you said, ALL alters aside from her are a version of operators who experienced growth. It's either Kroos/Lava case where they literally grow, or Nearl/Gavial who basically embrace their past and adapt it into a new battle style. Even Chalter is Ch'en after she undewent a character development. So what about Skadi? My thought, she is the same as the others, but it just the current Arknights story isn't that far yet. Maybe it's already planned that part 3 of Arknights will be the Seaborn saga? And this Skalter is a version of Skadi from that future. And as you said, the different timeline stuff might be just some kind of future prediction that went wild inside her head in the future. She keeps dreaming of those horrifying possibilityies, and she starts to believe that it will happen. That's why she has voice line about how Rhodes Island will DEFINITELY fall in the future. Or her victory line that imply that she will accept Dokutah's desicion if Dokutah someday in the future will threat her the same as how Dokutah brutally massacred those poor enemies from the stage with Surtr and Silverash. Skadi Alter isn't the final evolution of Skadi. She is Skadi who is in the middle of evolution with all of those "revelations" started to plague her mind through her dreams.
    2. Just as what you said, I also think that her evolution is inevitable. BUT! I don't think becoming a second Ishar Mla is the only possibility. She might end up evolved to Seaborn god or queen. But if she somehow manage to keep her original mind intact, we might get Seaborn god or Queen Skadi, and not Ishar Mla 2.0. If Mizuki can become their new god and stop their madness in one of IS3 ending, why others can't do it too? Personally, I don't really think that being a queen of Seaborn is a bad thing. Seaborns are just a literally single minded organism. Unlike humans who have diverse will and ego, Seaborn is just like an AI that has a hard coded purpose. And their purpose is only to keep evolving. So if a new queen or god overwrite their purpose with something else just like how Mizuki does it, Seaborn being just a regular sea creature won't be impossible.
    Anyone have played Starcraft before? I think Skadi's condition isn't too different from a character named Sarrah Kerrigan in that game. Basically, the lady joined the military, got kidnapped by alien, the alien transformed her into their own kind to be one of their battle slave, she regained her sanity after a lot of internal conflict and became the new alien queen after the past leader got killed, and at the very final ending, she ascended into a higher life form and brought peace into the whole galaxy. Oh she came back to her human lover too in the second game's epilogue. And since Lowlight seems to like RTS game, I can say that he got some inspirations from Starcraft. The concept of seaborn evolution is simillar to how the alien race (Zerg) keep evolving to overcome the harsh space environtment. And that corruption tiles from SN event is literally the Zerg's creep (somekind of teritorial marking basically) lol. And that's why I think It's possible that Skadi will overcome the mind take over and use her evolution for a good purpose. Her body might change, but in the inside, she is still the same good old Skadi. Just like Kerrigan. Please HG... give my girl a good ending...

      @theolanderdilag3872 Před rokem +18

      I knew someone would see the Starcraft parallels in here
      Besides Lowlight taking inspiration for what is blatantly 2 RTS games, (C&C Tiberium timeline = Originium & Skalter = Infested Kerrigan)
      I doubt that making Skalter the next Kerrigan would be Lowlight's next move considering that Seaborn are basically Zerg + Void champs from League, and probably since you mentioned about Mizuki, what if Mizuki was a cerebrate? A rogue brood? A more rebellious Stukov vs Kerrigan's Swarm?
      The parallels are already there but the real answer-theory I got is that there would be no way that Lowlight will copy Kerrigan's fate as a Xel'naga, the same way that rock cancer gives off magic damage vs physical strength and improper integration.

Hopelessly trying to connect with someone he knows from the past , knowing fully well that it's is the different person. Also i think when Kal'tsit talked about opportunities she actually experiment of controlling the Seaborne(we can see in e2 that skadi actually controlling seaborn and in skin she controlling Leviathan itself) and split between two timeliness happend because in one experiment failed creating timeline with bad ending of IS3.

      She doesn't control a Leviathan in her new skin, that's the same seaborn from the e2 art, just changed to fit the theme of the new skin. She can, however, turn into the same-looking creature in IS3, but much bigger in size. And opportunities, imo, are more about curing the Oripathy. That's still the main goal of RI and Specter's case showed that her seaborn blood successfully fights off the infection.

      @@beet158 And I'd like to think that people like Kalt'sit and the Doctor would realize if things were getting out of hand and would resort to simply killing the host, meaning Skadi.
      Qaiser's theory is nice but I think it's a very unlikely scenario as in you'd think that the actual God of the Seaborn would be able to sense how big the presence of its kin is and the amount of time and all the variables needed to condition Skadi's corrupted self into believing such a facade is quite unreasonable,
      We've seen multiple times during both events that Seaborn can sense their kin which would mean that Skadi would have to be conditioned in a place where there's literally no living being in a radius of thousands of miles or more and that would also have to remain true during her transportation to the select location in which to abandon her, not only that but they'd have to make sure that no living being could get close enough for her to sense that something is off. At the end of the day I think that there's so many variables and such an implied risk with the plan suggested in the video that it would simply be better to kill her as soon as things start going south.
      Just my piece, it's such an interesting conversation to be had; to be honest though, these events are so well written that they freak me out, I just hope that all will go well for the Hunters

    this is more a gripe i have with how you depict laurentina's end more than anything, but the constant separation between her seaborn blood and her as Laurentina doesn't sit right with me. because one theme that we see with almost every seaborn hybrid is where does their identity as Aegir end, and where their identity as seaborn begin, and how they choose to embrace or reject it.
    Laurentina's seaborn blood is in her, and that is a strength she took to herself when enlisting to be an abyssal hunter, so she could protect what she believed to be trully human, or rather, to destroy the seaborn who cannot see that beauty. Skadi and Ishar-mla are the whole crux of Skadi's conflict, who is she really, even in your theory, you posit that. Gladiia is constantly fretting over her own descent to become seaborn, and then there is Mizuki, which, far as we have seen, is almost a complete synergy of human and seaborn. without the constant conflic that seems to plague others.
    all of this to say, i think Laurentina did use her strength to overcome her insanity, with much of the story of Stultifera Navis being that acceptance of her seaborn half, while still understanding she is still her. at least, it's what i have gotten from the event, considering the interactions between her and Amaia.

      @blazed987 Před rokem +5

      I think of this too. I remember a specific line in Spectre's story where Amiaia tried taunting Spectre by saying that her seaborn blood was the reason she became sane but she said that it's a part of her now and she's not bothered by it before cutting her.

    • @nestrior7733
      @nestrior7733 Před rokem +2

      Another important aspect here is that the reason why the Abyssal Hunters are capable of fighting in the first place. The Seaborn view them as one of their own. Weird with some sense of individuality, but one of their own nonetheless. They will fight back though.
      For this, the Ægir use the Seaborn to create this Chimera-esque amalgamation as a means to an end, but if we remember Specter and what she says as to why her name is that... It's because "the voices" call her a specter. One among their midst but not quite present. It isn't much of a stretch to say that she is hearing the Seaborn. The giant individual bent on evolution that Ishar-mla was the highest form of. Then add that Laurentina overcame her madness after what can be read as acceptance of this part of her together with Mizuki who seams to have completely integrated and there's a definite path for Skadi to Not Fall. It won't be easy ofc. I called Ishar-mla the highest evolution of the Seaborn for a reason.
      But the fatal flaw in this video is the isolation of Skadi. She's called soft-hearted by those who knew her from before and I do not think that they are referring to her trauma. No. It's how she responds to it. If there is one thing we should understand about the Abyssal Hunters, it's that they are meant to operate as a Unit. And the capital is crucial here. They draw strength from fighting alongside each other, supporting the entire Company by their mere Presence. During her time on land, before joining RI for Laurentina and the events that followed, Skadi sought out others. Because she draws strength from companionship. But since she carries part of Ishar-mla's essence, she draws in Seaborn and only very few people aside from the Hunters can survive let alone fight them. Because of that, Skadi withdrew, weakening herself. Yes, she was described as "Walking Catastrophe". Yet let me ask you: Is that really Skadi's real fighting style? Or is she going overboard to compensate for her shortcomings since she didn't have other Hunters to support and be supported by?
      In conclusion: Skadi Alter in this form is her self from when she was isolated until only the Seaborn and Ishar-mla inside her remained. Since the Abyssal Hunter project simulates this sense of shared self, it was only a small step to open her self to it fully. And she embraced the Seaborn and their mission wholeheartedly. She still retained some individuality, thanks to being a Hunter, but lost all attachments to her past. So when that past caught up to her, it was swallowed by her future. As to why she spared the Doctor... Maybe she did join RI, but Gladiia never came and Laurentina never lost her chains. She still grew increasingly alone and isolated, despite our efforts. And, in a final gesture of sad gratitude, for that, she spared us.

    I feel like there are several potential endings for our Orca Goddess. The idea of trying to seclude her and leaving her with the delusion of her already having ended the world is the bad end. SN has shown us that mental corruption can be resisted when the victim has support. I personally think holding back Ishtar-mla requires keeping Skadi’s spirits up. It seems to me that she will only lose if she falls into despair. Also I vaguely remember it being mentioned that Skadi herself can decide how she evolves so wouldn’t the best way to deal with that is to keep Skadi believing that she is the master of her fate and not her seaborn blood?

    Qaiser, Skadi is wearing the bard outfit in her alter. The split point is the Under Tides event.
    The One Who Speaks manages to fully awaken Ishar-Mla inside Skadi before Gladiia can stop it, causing her to collapse and putting a stop to Kal'tsit's plan as the Abyssal Hunters are forced to return to Rhodes Island to treat Skadi.
    From there its a horror movie. Because they aren't there to help, the Gran Faro incident results in a slaughter and it is quite possible the Eye of Iberia is never recovered.
    Meanwhile, Skadi starts mutating out of control and calling the Seaborne to her, rousing them to attack Iberia with more strenght.
    Iberia eventually falls and we get IS3. Then everyone dies and the end is just a broken Dokutah trying to find comfort in the last thing they have left, Skadi, while Ishar-Mla corrupts them and turns them into a sea borne.
    Think about it this way, why would Skalter, who is stranged by the very fact she still wears a hat, change clothes?
    Its made clear the first one telling her what she is and the shock were what almost turned her, she doesnt really care much anymore.
    So the juncture is that point where she is shocked and begins to transform, while still wearing the bard oufit.

  • @nestrior7733
    @nestrior7733 Před rokem +4

    I will slightly disagree and tell you why the Power Of Friendship can avert the future of Skalter.
    For that, let me ask you: When is an Abyssal Hunter at their strongest? Both physically and mentally. Is it when they are alone and isolated? Or is it when fighting alongside other Hunters, benefiting from their Seaborn connection?
    Their Talents should speak a clear language: A Hunter draws strength from mutual companionship.
    But Skadi has and still is isolating herself. She thinks that she has to fight this battle on her own when it's only with the support of others that she can win. This is why this version of Skadi Alter exists. She isolated, weakened, herself so much that the community of the Seaborn and Ishar-mla were her best sanctuary. With her past being swallowed by her future.
    And we get indications of this. Skadi being soft-hearted is not a commentary on her being impacted by trauma. Trauma that only exists because she sought companionship even on land. Where only few can survive let alone fight the Seaborn. No. Skadi being soft-hearted is about her weakening herself through isolation. That's why she clung to the mostly slumbering Specter. Because Laurentina meant companionship like she knew from before.
    Yet she was still alone in her guilt until the later events of Under Tides and Stultifera Navis.
    Take those away or let her remain even more isolated and I don't doubt that Skadi the Corrupting Heart is an inevitability.
    However. If Skadi opens herself up to others again, comes to peace with her Seaborn blood and wins the fight against Ishar-mla's essence as a result, I think we might just get ourselves a second Alter. One that might possibly be similar to Guardmiya, even. Because Skadi very much is the main protagonist of this storyline and I will be shocked when "Siege" doesn't get anything at the end of the current main story.

While it might be possible to just convince her it is real with the insanity, there is the possibility the illusion breaks and releases her.

Also, there not much information about her past and ability origins.We can judge by her appearance that she has some conection with Cthulthu-someone who known for messing with humans minds. Something along the lines of Ishar-Mla has control of her but there a tiny bit of her in there, but then again: POWER OF FRIENDSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!
    Which can be silly and outright unrealistic considering the whole Abyss Hunter squad, Kal'tsit and Amiya all decided to flop

    Isnt it basically outright stated Skadi could assert control over the skalter gestalt at any time if she wanted? I think it's pretty cut and dry the timeline split is at some point in the future where something happens that basically makes Skadi choose to submit.
    And I feel like you're arguing with ghosts here, I'm not sure there's anyone saying everything related to skalter is alternate timeline stuff, that's just silly, I think it's always been clear that by "alternate timeline" people mean "alternate future"

    And here I was, hoping for a future without Amiya.
    To the main topic tho, great build up, but I think it's too far fetched. I agree that power of friendship has no place in the Arknights, but there are points that I can't agree completely.
    #1 Alter treatment.
    Can we even say there was a tradition to breach in the first place? Skadi was in fact a second alter to be introduced, first being Lava. We couldn't even say anything about solid narrative about alters being one thing or the other at that point. Did they have plans for next alternate operators and plot resolving around them? I'm sure they did, but it doesn't shut down the possibilities for them.
    #2 Skadi fate.
    Okay, so hear me out: the solution you came up with it a far more cruel fate than letting Skadi peacefully die. We are supposed to, um, keep her forever in mental prison, as an empty shell, tormented at all times by grief and pain? How is that better than anything? Also, I believe destruction isn't the goal of Seaborns. And why would Ishar-mla stop after destryoing the human world, while there's still so much to do? Even if that would be ending Ishar-mla wants, why not look at the possibility that it's only a plan seen through the prism of Skadi herself? I much believe Seaborns wouldn't stop at that, "my kin and I will soon be able to swim through the air. In the end, even those places devoid of anything can become our ocean. We simply need to evolve, to continuously adapt". Seems like sky isn't the limit apparently. Also, Skadi's and Specter situations are incomparable for me. One got cancer rocks in her spine, and the other got a living god. Seems like Skadi got shorter stick, but god is a being, kind of.
    #3 Timeline-cringe.
    I hate timelines mumbo-jumbo, time travels and such. But despite my hate (and copium), I believe Skadi Alter is in fact only a possibility. A threat we don't want to deal with at any point. The opposite of goal. We, as a whole RI, don't want Skadi Alter to happen, but we are aware that this might very well happen anyway. What I think: Skadi Alter is Skadi's nightmare. A nightmare that's getting closer to be fulfilled - "You are not your dreams yet, Miss Skadi".
    #4 Abyssal Hunters storyline.
    By introducing her and her lore, the stakes went much, much higher. Abyssal Hunters aren't the main plot (well, it is for me) of the game. But in the grand scheme of things, Seaborn threat is way more important than power struggle. Still, we didn't have 6 chapters of their story, there was a chance players didn't even have a single Abyssal Hunters character before the event.
    It had to be impactful, and what's more impactful than literal end of the world and death of beloved Kal'tsit (and some boring Donkey).
    Ending.
    Skalter is one of "scenarios you've been dreaming about recently". It's how it ends if we, and Skadi herself, fail. What the nature of those dreamt scenarios are? I have no idea, but it might even be Seaborn god trying to corrupt Skadi. And since Ishar-mla isn't the only Leviathan, how would tricking one solve anything in the long run?
    I hate timelines, but it is what it is. My theory: Skalter doesn't exist and RI has to do anything to keep it that way. Next Abyssal event will be exactly about this, finding a way to prevent this future from happening. So, Skalter isn't real (but very well may be), everything that happened in game is real, Skalter is introduced to raise the stakes.
    I hope this is coherent at all.

  • @Daniel-jz9td
    @Daniel-jz9td Před rokem +1

    This makes sense (or I'm actually coping as well), Arknights got me interested in how characters are developed as almost everything has a reason to be and I also hate to my very core the whole "It's just an alternate timeline bro" thing, as it allows lazy writing and interpretations about events, because if they decided to drop Skalter menace upon Terra and they chickened out the consequences of it by saying it's just another timeline despite in the process having one of their most massive arcs brutally trivialized canon-wise, that would taste like shit as we won't be sure in the future if another arc would get "alternate timeline'd" when things get complicated for all of Terra history, putting great stories a label of "Official fanfiction".
    Maybe they didn't think forward that much when releasing Skalter or maybe they actually did as the upcoming event in CN aims to a hella big threat in Ægir, which can be abyssal related and by extension Skalter-related and this whole comment derives in an Ulpianus playable copium... Well up to the Ulpianus cope, I really mean what I've said, I know that HG delivers and will deliver good stories, hope that they don't resort full on "It's just an alternate timeline bro".

    The abyssal hunters don't have much control over their seaborn blood. Even Gladiia got some symptoms after Under Tides. My theory was that Ishar-mla spared the Doctor not only because he's the closest person to its host, but because it noticed the Doctor's potential and wants to corrupt him as well. I reached to this conclusion after how much Skalter insists on tempting the Doc to get closer to her and implying that she wants to become one/assimilate him.
    There's definitely a missing piece in the story so far, so I still think of her as Skadi from the future (just like Kal'tsit talk as if there's a time skip on her skin's dialogue). Maybe we'll know more in a future event and who knows, perhaps we could also get Gladiia or even Andreana alter.

  • @byeguyssry
    @byeguyssry Před rokem +2

    This is kinda a stretch, and some of your arguments can be explained away with alternative explanations. For example, at 10:30, considering that 9:55 you mentioned that the Dokutah was the only one spared by Skadi... no, I don't think I'll go insane if someone I've spent a ton of time trying to help as I watch her go insane before she suddenly unleashes a tremendous amount of power as I am powerless to do anything and she kills everyone I hold dear but refusing to kill me because she considered me a close friend, making me wonder in my mind, Did I do this? Should I have killed her before it was too late. Is this all... my fault?
    No way anyone would make anything but the most sound, logical decisions afterwards.
    (Also, you mentioned that the gameplay and story are kept separate. I don't think many people will take kindly to not allowing Skalter to be leveled up or promoted for lore reasons.)
    A simpler explanation is that, rather than this being a plan concocted by Dokutah, Kal'Tsit and co, Skadi just grew more and more mad and, since she doesn't want to harm others, as the devs said, she gave up everything for the sake of protecting those around her, but without any of the overcomplicated Doctor interference you mentioned.
    Also, we have ONE precedent with Specter being unable to overcome her insanity with her own strength. That doesn't mean that Skadi can't. Heck, maybe Rhodes Island managed to learn something from Specter. Heck, a cool story could be that Specter, in seeing Skadi go insane, gives her a surge of strength and allows her to remember herself, then try her best to break Skadi free, too.

At this point, she’s actually lost in her insanity similar to pre-SN Specter. I have a little theory. Knowing that the Leviathan blood ignores reality. Maybe the Leviathan can see the future or maybe can jump in different timelines and shit. When Skadi received the Leviathan blood, maybe Skadi also received its memories (through dreams)or she saw the future. (Jumping timelines, have a chance of jumping in the future). Regarding on Skadi, will bring calamity to the world and the Seaborn blood choosing her fate. It may have been... set in stone.
    IF, Doctor and the others, choose something that isn't in the thread of fate(that leads the World being destroyed). Then there's a chance they will change the future.
    Changing the future won't change the past and present, but changing the past and present will change the future.

    Skalter not real (yet).. Okay hear me out
    Skadi-alter *Promotional Record* is basically Kal'tsit talking to Skadi about her condition..
    .
    .
    Kal'tsit explained that Skadi's condition (aka the proliferating Ishar Mla cells), leans dependently on her "cognition" (or the way she thinks and feels), which is why the devs also explained that Skadi needs a "clear mind", she must let go of her homesickness and fears ULTIMATELY and start anew. Worrying only worsens her condition and going home to the ocean will only conclude to IS3.. which implies what the devs said about Skadi should remain on land.. now Skadi only needs to be confident enough that it will not take her over despite the endless dreams and nightmares.. TRULY LETTING GO OF HOME and gaining a sense of purpose (e.g. being a Rhodes Island operator) will give her the peace of mind which would prevent her Ishar mla cells to take her over..
    .
    BUT ONLY FOR THE TIME BEING.
    .
    Kal'tsit clarified that her condition as of now, is something Skadi herself can "proactively shape" and thankfully, it has not yet progressed to "passive adaptation", which is a point where she can no longer control.
    .
    So what do they need to do?
    1. Keep Skadi inland, occupied and accompanied by her closest friends like Specter, Doctor, and other Rhodes Island operators.. and formulate a cure or ultimately eliminate Ishar mla cells from her with the help of Kal'tsit and the medical research department
    2. *Retake Ægir.* Now this is where Gladiia Bloodline of Combat Skin comes to play.. Notice in her skin that she is standing on ice ocean, how do I know? Take a look behind her, it's the Stultifera Navis (and taking closer look at the chibi animations and stuff, it is set on winter).. Under the Stultifera is an Ægir city. Gladiia and her troops consisting of possibly Iberians, the Inquisitors, and especially Ægirians that lived in Terra, are all gathered for the "Return", as named on her skin. Regaining an Ægir city will make a huge step by retaking lost Ægir engineerings which would help them retake other cities. In my theory, Andreanna and Ulpianus will be a huge part of that story IF THE STORY UNFOLDS TO THIS.
    In short, Kal'tsit, Gladiia and Skadi are fully aware of how Skadi's condition work. Keep Skadi from returning home, not until she's Ishar Mla virus free.
    ....
    Now about the dialogues of Skalter, listening to each and every dialogues just makes me imagine different events within the IS3.. There's no operator record specifically for *Skadi The Corrupting Heart*, Skalter's records are just Skadi's *diagnosis and medical archives after the Sal Viento incident*. There were no records implying that Skadi is deluded or restrained in any way after transitioning into Ishar mla. Also it doesn't fit well happening before the Stultifera Navis.

    2. An Analysis for Jessica (ch.9/10), similar to your Video for Liskram and Franka( R6 Event).
    3. A non-biasd Analysis of different Operator-Ships( older and more resent ones). Applying Facts(in-game evidence) and Logic to see wich ones have a solid enough Basis and wich are the same old memes/pandering.
    4. Your Hottake on differnt Parts of the Arknights Community(alias "the Good, the Bad and the Ugly").
    Just a few recommendations from a fellow german Dokutah. Cheers to you, from Dr. John

    *When* did the devs say Skalter was non-canon? Since she was the very first alter, a long time ago, it is also possible that they have changed their minds about it being non-canon and realised the Ishar Mla arc could actually work. They may also have realised they didn't want any non-canon alters, and hence want to make Skalter canon for this reason (and there is a lot of genuinely good and understandable storytelling that can go with this, so they won't sacrifice integrity or quality!)!

    Don't let all these theories distract you from the fact that Ishar-Mla planted his seed on Skadi goddammit

    If she had the examination at Rhodes Island after Gran Faro incident if they have time before the full transformation. The tech in Dorothy's Vision can come I to play. I believe that some combination of these things might happen. At the end of the day these are not isolated incidents as Kal'st was also called to Rhine Lab. It would make sense for Rhodes Island to take these measures so the whole world does not go to shit.

    Bro. You remind me of Demiurge from Overlord, explaining how big Ainz his brain is and what he is planning. And Ainz is like: yeah... i planned it all along. Kappa. So are the devs, who watches your video: yeah... thats the lore. Kappa.

    About Isharm'la just stopping the invasion of Terra because it's already destroyed and Skalter's guilt... I don't really think that's how it works.
    First, the seaborn do not wish to destroy Terra per se. They seek evolution even if Terra falls in the process, and as such of course it wouldn't end just because humanity is doomed. For them, Terra doesn't mean a thing. They just crawl on earth because it's the next stage of their evolution and to search for Isharm'la. If Terra was destroyed, Isharm'la would just continue forward towards the sky or something else, as evolution must progress.
    Second, Skalter does not feel guilt for her actions because she isn't Skadi anymore, but Isharm'la. She actually states that her regrets died along the Abyssal Hunters, and when adressing how she couldn't save them she simply says that she regained her future, embracing her new self. The only time she actually regrets is in her operation failure record, in which Skadi seems to reclaim control (and perhaps the trust 3 VL, not really sure).
    In my opinion, without guilt and a reason to stop, leaving Skalter alone wouldn't solve a thing. Skadi doesn't seem able to regain control for too long either, and when she does, she doesn't seem really happy with her destiny anyway...

    Actually... we see skadi fighting against her seaborn side... BUT on the 1st ending of IS-3 I just forgot his name, but we see a strange guy saying to mizuki, that he is what he is todat, because he accepted his seaborn side, instead of the boss there
    So probably, skadi actually can keep controling her body, as long as she accept herself as ishar-mla...
    And I do have some theories that the seaborns aren't actually that bad, and it wad the Ægirians that invaded thier territories and started this war...

    While logical in essence, it doesn't fit either the Doctor's MO, nor anime logic (even as bleak as Terra is, it still follows some of those rules)
    I am not saying: "you are wrong, and you are a poop face", sort of argument.
    There are a lot of valuable points in this theory here, but something tells me there is still information worth to take into consideration.
    Also: Kya cope... is that right?

    Here's the thing alternative timelines are already a thing chek the different endings of the dungeon mode (i forget the name) were phantom can end up back to the troupe or join R.I. again.
    Also specter/laurentina recovering cause of her seaborn blood is a bit iffy, Yeah it's probably true that if she did not have it she would had died from the originium but the thing is it's hevily implied she was not the only abyssal hunter that got the originium "treatment", she was however the only one to survive so there has to be some other element playing a role in her recovery despite what the church of the deep thinks.
    Anyway back to Skadi. The reality of the situation is that whatever we talk about normal or alter she is already Ishar-mla, the original hunter Skadi is already gone and the creature calling itself Skadi is a fusion of the Leviathan and the hunter so it's less a question of if she gives in to the blood and more how will she evolve going forward.
    Skadi the corrupting heart is probably what hapens if her fellow abyss hunters decide to attack her to kill the leviathan (which is super ironic).
    The kicker to all of this is that Skadi(the hunter) might actualy be the one corrupting the leviathan... but that's a rabit hole i'd rather not go into...

    i think skadi went feral when ishar mla was defeated like how gladdia talking about other abyssal hunters going feral and needing to be put down. while feral she started trying to eat ishar mla and doing so caused her to become lucid again. however she doesnt remember doing that but ulpianus saw her do it.

  • @keinkanal7382
    @keinkanal7382 Před rokem

    the issue i have with skalter being canon is exactly the inevitable end which would literally invalidate any concern about what is happening in the main story. Its not a story that you can neatly write into the mainstory as side entertainment like nearls story, same issue with the sui storyline. how are they gonna interact with each other. what is more important, the world ending cause of an angry dragon god, or the world ending cause of a leviathan god.
    so your theory of skadi experiencing ego death cause she cant distuinguish reality from her own visions anymore, and thats skalter actually makes sense.

  • @shotoflamenguistaproducoes1832

    Quick question too. The reason that Specter keept her sanity, was it not because her Seaborn blood was injected with pure Originium? Isn"t it the reason why the blood lost in potency? Isn't it why Breogan was researching Originium based technologies, to find a counter to Seaborn particularities?
