  • Searching for authentic and sacred Jewish meditations and breathing techniques? Harav Ginsburgh teaches what might very well be the deepest and most mindful system of breathing meditations ever taught in Judaism. The chedvah technique is based on an 8, 4, 6, 5 rhythm and count, and cultivates all 4 parts of the breathing cycle: inhalation, hold, exhalation, and rest.
    In addition, the Rav shows the first very basic application of this technique in respect to the Shema, the declaration of faith in God's oneness: Hear O' Israel, Havayah is our God, Havayah is one.
    This is just a cursory review of this very powerful technique which at its apex focuses on carving spiritual letters out of the air around us and integrating them into the spiritual and physical centers of the body.
    This is the first video in a series available on our youtube channel.

    The 8,4,6,5 seconds teaching is profound. Interestingly the best pace for learning for a student is to pitch the teaching at 60 beats per minute, something the Rabbi is doing naturally it seems. I think breathing cycle hits some cosmic resonance that connects the elements of the self/mind. I have never hit the "point of stillness" so quickly with any other meditation/exercise - and I've meditated for over 31 years and been a monk for 12... This is truly a great gift to the world.

    I’m 26 and raised Christian, I’ve read it many times over and have been studying (trying) to study Hebrew as well as reading the quran... the one thing I’ve always prayed for since 6 years old is for Wisdom. I’ve hit some roadblocks in life and I wasn’t brought up in the best of households; anyways last night I decided to breathe in meditating hallelujah exhaling Elohim. During meditation I felt energy flowing in my face and energy flowing through my hands... I couldn’t separate my hands from the energy!!! I got up and it felt like time stopped. I felt oneness with the birds outside. I also couldn’t close my hands at all the energy was too strong.
    Can someone explain to me what happened??

      Hallelujah contains the name Jah, shorthand for Tetragrammaton as it's pronounced at the level of Chokmah. Elokim is the name of God at the level of Binah. In doing so you may have performed yichud, union of the masculine and feminine principles in the world's of Atziluth and Beriah.

    About the first stage of the cycle, inhaling/aspiration:
    Rabbi Ginsburgh described the inhaling stage with the #Hebrew word she'ifa שאיפה, which also means aspiration and longing. To understand the relation of aspiration to the #sefirah of Crown, reflect on how, like all other #sefiros, Crown contains an inner and an outer aspect. The inner aspect of Kindness חסד, for example, is love, while the outer aspect is the expression of kindness itself. Similarly, Crown has an inner aspect of pleasure תענוג, while the outer aspect is will רצון. There is a #Chasidic saying that each of these aspects has greatness beyond the other: there is no thing that is higher than pleasure, but there is likewise no thing that can stand in the face of will.
    We can see, then, that the "aspiration" Rabbi Ginsburgh described corresponds to Crown, which is composed of pleasure and will. Aspiration begins by realizing that some sort of change will bring pleasure. Further, that aspiration is realized only through force of will. So, aspiration is the sefirah of Crown.
    The sefirah is called "Crown" because a physical crown sits above and surrounds the seat of intellect, and so transcends it. Similarly, the sefirah of Crown transcends the intellectual powers of the soul.

    • @ChaimLeibHalbert
      @ChaimLeibHalbert Před 7 lety +4

      We can actually move on and expand on this idea of transcendence. Another reason this first stage of inhaling and aspiration transcends all the other stages is that the letter for this stage is ches, which has a numeric value (#gematria) of 8.
      Just as Keser is the highest of the sefiros and transcends them all, so too, the letter ches is a transcendent letter. With the value of 8, it indicates a transcending of the Creation, which is associated with 7. For example, within Creation there are 7 days. For each object in Creation there are 7 extremities קצוות, including the 6 spatial extremities of top, bottom, front, back, right and left, plus the aspect of its very existence, to yield 7. There are the 7 primary emotions מדות described in Kabbalah. Et cetera.
      To reach beyond the limitations of Creation would be to transcend 7-yielding 8. So, the transcendent sefirah of Keser corresponds to the transcendent letter ches and the first stage of this meditation.

      Judaism has no significant spiritual meditation worth mentioning. Some Chabad Rabbis are pretending to be meditation masters but they’re not even beginners. They plagiarize a few rudimentary Eastern techniques and represent them as Jewish in origin. Jews pray, lament and think. Yogis move beyond discursive Jewish spirituality to higher development.

      Hi, Elisha. I'm not associated with HaRav Ginsburgh, but I have a general answer to your question.
      The 4-letter name of HaShem is unpronounceable; we are not to attempt to pronounce it. When Mashiach comes (one day SOON!!!!), he will pronounce it. It is referred to as the Tetragrammaton, which is a Greek term. (HaRav Ginsburgh calls it that in this video.)
      When we speak of HaShem, we refer to Him as "HaShem," which is Hebrew for "The Name." Havayah is another usable term, as HaRav Ginsburgh uses it here.
      Most Torah-observant Jews call Him "HaShem," or "God." Or another euphemism. But NEVER by the Tetragrammaton.

    HEY=behold, HEY come over here and look.
    Hand behold, nail behold. The crucifixion is in YHVH name!
    The word Torah in Hebrew pictographs backwards...
    HEY=behold, HEY come over here and look.
    RESH/ROSH= head
    VAV= nail, tent Peg, fasten, secure.
    TAV= cross, mark, covenant.
    Hey look the Head nailed on the cross.
    Proverbs 30:4 - Who has ascended up into heaven, and descended? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has bound the waters in his garment? Who has established all the ends of the eretz? What is his name, and what is his SONS'S name, if you know
    Aleph= א=God=Elohim=יהוה
    ALEPH in Hebrew. =אלפ
    That's three letters in one word.
    The gematria of the word aleph is 111 which is 3 numbers of number 1 in the word, aleph. Three in one.
    The aleph which stands for God has 2 yods=hands and 1 bent vav =6 the number of man. also =nail, tent Peg, fasten, secure.
    So you can say that in the name of Elohim is a man with teffilin on His head bent over humbled and reaching out his two hands to pull Heaven and Earth together in himself the mashiac ben David... Jesus/Yahshua... Connecting, fastening, them to HIMSELF!
    And of course that Aleph equals 26
    2 yods and a bent Vav
    the number of יהוה... Yod =10 Hey=5 + Vav =6 Hey=5 TOTAL=26
    Elohim is a PLURAL word! Not singular.
    The Aleph as said before had 2 Yods and 1 bent Vav that is another 3 in 1...!
    Also the Paleo ancient Hebrew Aleph has three lines that make up 1 Aleph, three in one once again!
    The Maschiac was already here once and he will come back again. That's why you have the two Heys in יהוה NAME for the two comings of HIM! Hey= behold, look over here at something important!

      @@Law9223 I can’t “prove you” wrong if you wholeheartedly believe in a false construct. You likely won’t listen to reason and logic. The “New Testament” where you draw your conclusions from is not a recognized text that is supported by Torah. It may draw parallelisms from Torah but it is not a divine text, unlike the Torah. The Torah was given to many people at the same time, and it was a public miracle whereas no one has any clue who really wrote “the New Testament.” The titles of the letters say it themselves “the gospel ACCORDING TO…” meaning “this is something that a friend of a friend of a friend told me….” Meaning NO divine basis. Not a trustworthy source.
      Secondly, The idea of messiah within a Torah context is entirely different than Christianity’s idea. The messiah is not to die for our sins or anyone’s sins. No one dies for anyone’s “sins”. You’d have to start by redefining all terms, under the scope of Torah and Judaism and for that I highly suggest taking Biblical Hebrew classes; because your religion was a sect that stemmed off from its original Judaism…and went off into the abyss of idolatry and Hellenistic ideals.
      Christianity is a Greco Roman, hellenistic ideology that was born from the hybridization of pagan, demi god thoughts. Human sacrifice is a prevalent theme in pagan cultures just as is “the immaculate conception”. Only in pagan cultures do you find that the gods rape the human women and procreate with them.
      It’s very likely yeshu didn’t even exist, rather he’s a made-up amalgamation of characters ranging from Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Yosef, etc. the authors of the “New Testament” were likely apostate Jews meaning Jews who assimilated to Greek culture and/or Greeks who supplanted knowledge of Torah in order to infiltrate the Jewish people to get them to deviate from the original teachings. Their goal wasn’t to massacre the Jews rather to destroy them from the inside out. just as we are seeing today with modern warfare, we don’t see person to person combat rather a battle of ideologies. It’s the SAME thing happening as it did then.
      A sect from the Essenes broke off from the well-established Jewish community and were obsessed with the idea of a messiah (an appointed individual by the high priest of the Temple) to make war AGAINST THE GREEKS. This anointed individual was supposed to be a warrior and extremely pious, meaning he would have NEVER claimed to be Gd in the flesh and never would have claimed to need to die for anyone’s sins. He also would have had to uphold EVERY tenet of Torah, both written and oral, to 100% essentially. Such an individual has yet to exist.
      Thirdly, yeshu never fulfilled any of the messianic prophecies. His linage alone proves he can’t be the messiah because if he was born of a deity then that means he has no father therefore he can’t be from the like of King David. That’s just basic logic.
      J-sus is a Greek type. Therefore the whole notion of Jews having him as their “messiah” is nonsensical to begin with.
      Torah and Judaism is about a personal relationship with Gd and personal accountability for your actions. The Greeks wanted to destroy the learning of Torah because they felt their ideals were superior to that of the Jews (something many Christians, especially the evangelical types still flaunt). By saying that all you need to do “to be saved” is believe in a false idol, is completely out of line with Toraic thinking. Believing that someone else can die for one’s own mistakes is not only entirely egotistical and perverse but also an easy way out of not TAKING ACTION to change one’s lifestyle. Torah calls us to action in our daily lives from the moment we wake up to the moment we go to sleep, so that our relationship with Gd can be as open and great as it possibly can be. The added benefits of such relationship with our Creator are blessings instead of curses.
      For some reason christians think they know more about Torah and prophecies of the messianic era, than the people who had it directly handed to them and have guarded it generation after generation. Precisely, the miracle of hannukah is highlighting how the light of Torah will always prevail.
      Yes, we have a concept of messiah but it’s not what you’ve been taught. Think of it as you have been given a huge math formula with all the wrong factors and when you plug it into the equation, you receive a whole number so you think you’re correct. But when you break down the proof process (literally a mathematical term, proof) then you realize it’s ALL wrong.
