Taking a job cleaning houses while trying to keep from being homeless and figure out her next step, Alex’s resilience is tested every step of the way while refusing to give up on a better future.
During this 1-on-1 interview with Collider, which you can both watch and read, Qualley talked about being both excited and scared by the idea of playing a mom, the experience of having her own mother, Andie MacDowell, play Alex’s mother, what infuriated her most about everything her character had to go through, the approach to keeping her young co-star engaged on set, and the show’s beautiful ending. In my opinion, Maid was the best show of the year. Margaret deserves an Emmy.
The story is powerful, the performances are authentic and moving, and you will fall in love with Margaret Qualley as you root for her character. I highly recommend’Maid’. 👏

Shocking to see after time has passed how well this series performance has stood out to me.
The thing that’s most furiating is the fact that her daughter had to live in mold while freezing at night because the windows had to be open and the landlord wouldn’t do a thing about it at first. Not the fact she had to use the system. I connected to this show so much bc I had literally been through everything this girl has with my kids also plus some. It was also based on a memoir.. so that makes the show even more of a relatable healing experience for me and many other women..
Two such brilliant performances from daughter and Mum. Here’s watching Margaret into the future. Seems she has the same terrific genes. All he best Margaret and thanks for such a stunning piece of work🌹👌🏽🌈❤️

I watched Drive-Away Dolls just yesterday, and I thought Ms. Qualley did an excellent job in that role. In my opinion, comedy is the most difficult art to create successfully. 💖

I was just complimenting the casting people on the show because they found someone that looked so much like Andie Macdowell that she could be her real life daughter, the speech and mannerisms are so similar I jokingly told my mom that she was probably her daughter in real life.
Great questions....Margaret is one to watch. If she is this good at her age...Will look forward to more roles in future.

Maid was just amazing, hard to watch sometimes because it was so authentic. Alex, Saun, Maddy (incredible), Regina and others. But I guess the wonderful script is the basis. A brilliant work.
