Are there any advantages to using normal charging rather than fast charging, such as longer battery life, fewer explosions, etc? If none, why bother with it?
Slow charging takes a long time but does not diminish the battery life as fast charging lithium ion battery does.

I can't disable fast charging!! no idea why but the on/off button is grey and it doesn't let me turn it off

My A50 looks nothing like that in the settings..when I tap the battery I don't get any dots at all..oh..and when I found the fast charging icon, it won't let me turn it on..
my problem is way past this, I already change the charging port and battery of the A50, US Samsung shops wont' accept the phone because it was bought outside the US. but to no avail, still no fast charge. :(
Try cleaning out ur port... use toothpick and/or toothbrush

no, the charge capacity stays the same the only thing that changes is the charging time, it is reduced considerably.
If I toggle the fast charging option off and then charge my phone with a fast charger, will that cause any problem?
@Rokas it does decrease the life of the battery. Lithium ion batteries last longer with slow charging.
