Late starter in the market - with the IDC25 do you still need an isolator from the crank battery & a solar controller from the panels to the box? Also does it charge other batteries than lithium?

Hi Darren, you don’t need to use a isolator with the Projecta IDC25 as it will switch off when the input voltage drops below 12.8v. You can chose to all so use the ignition setup which turn the DC charger off when the vehicle ignition is off.
You all so won’t need a solar regulator as the Projecta IDC25 is a MPPT solar controller. You can charge an AGM with this model without any damage.

How do you charge normal wall socket appliances eg. charging a laptop or running a blender?

Hi Mitchell, you would need to use a power inverter. This will connect to the battery box by using a Anderson plug for anything rated to 600 watts. Any inverter over this will need to be connected directly to the battery.

Hey mate, will the VSR model charge from alternator using 12v Cig in rear without draining cranking battery?

Hi Stan, Its best to use a Anderson plug connection in the rear of the vehicle as the cig socket is only rated to 10-15amps. The battery can accept up to 20-30 amps per hour. What type of vehicle do you have?

@@alanfairhead8350 thanks for reply. I have a 2010 forester and Cig socket is already standard. Trying to get a 40L fridge plus other basic items without having to install full dual battery system.

@@stanlee6188 How many days do you want to be able to power the fridge for?
Unless you charge the battery system from mains power or solar you really can't efficiently charge the auxiliary battery from the cig socket.
I can put a package together for you with a 40Ltr fridge and the dual battery system if that will make things easier.

@@alanfairhead8350 ideally I'd like to keep the fridge in the rear permanently with a constant trickle charge.
I already have a fridge but open to suggestions on battery options.
It's my daily driver so needs to be clean and functional with minimal intrusion on cabin space.
