The HP "Smart" software is awful and trying to use it without the subscription is a nightmare. Plus the ink cartages are $130.
I couldn't agree more, nightmare is the accurate description. My HP "smart" app crashes frequently and I could spend up to 20minutes trying to scan one document. Absurdity at its finest.
I agree! I USED to LOVE HP printers, now they just want you to subscribe so they can get you to promise them money, as well as if you don't buy their TERRIBLY EXPENSIVE cartriges, they will NOT RUN!! STAY AWAY FROM HP.

Thanks for this insight. I was planning to buy their printer since it will be compatible to my hp laptop. Guess i have to buy my first choice which is brother or epson. By the way my second option was hp printer or canon

I’ve had several HP printers, their service SUCKS, warranty is you buy another one when it breaks. Scanning is problematic too. If you have several users, don’t, just don’t.

@@flanks333 - No, you can return a new one. But if your problems occur at 9 months into a 2 year warranty, they say sorry, that part isn’t covered (ink cartridge frame for example).
HP has A LOT of connectivity issues. Good luck with that.

HP printers are the worst. I am trying to get the right Catridge for the model I use..even though it’s made in Malaysia it’s not available in the local market..I have to ship it from Dubai and end of the day it won’t work..the full set catridge cost same as printer cost..I will never ever buy any HP
I have an older HP Deskjet Plus 4152 printer and it's the biggest pain in the a$$. Wireless is absolutely useless - never worked. Also an absolute nightmare to get the piece of junk to setup. Download software, restart the system, restart the system, pull out the cables, try again...yada yada yada. It's always been the same. I'd like to use it as an anchor, but it's plastic and might float...
I'll never own another HP printer. We've had two and both have wound up being undependable after a while plus their ink is expensive. Switched to Brother and what a difference in the reliability and their ink is cheaper where we purchase it from.

Thank you for your comment. I was seeking home printer reviews because I wanted to find a better printer than an HP. I bought three HP‘s, and all of them wound up to be crap after a while.
That HP ink program scammed us. When we filed a complaint there was nothing other than our next ink was “ free” only one time did we receive our ink .
No more HP products for me.
Brother MFC L2750DW: you can printer when you're ready and save on toner. Plus this printer works well in the all around category.

If the printer cost over $60 and doesn’t have a usb port. Don’t buy it. And don’t buy it if it cost too much in the first place.
HP is the worst as it doesnt alllow you to use after market ink cartridges and will disable printing until you use their cartridges. I would avoid them at all costs. The software says it allows you to turn off the software that blocks third party ink but currently, mine changed the menu options and doesnt allow for it to be disabled so I have a large brick on my desk. Will look at Canon or Epson.....probably the tank printers.

Hello, I want a color printer that prints high-quality color photos, can scan and print documents, and can handle large paper sizes like A3. I need it for home use with kids to school, so it should be reliable, durable and have affordable ink and have cheap ink
Bought hp printer from Best Buy. Couldn’t set it up without downloading app and buying the ink program. Couldn’t connect to WiFi. Called official number who wanted me to download mirroring app from store. Reviews were all it was a scam, stole thousands from me etc. I returned it for cannon pixma 770
Why are printers being made to require internet? I understand that there are advantages but as a requirement it is completely ridiculous. It's like requiring your car to have air conditioning to start. Anyone know which printer I can buy that does not require internet?

If your printer doesn’t have a usb port. It’s not worth buying.
my Canon goes to service centre every year for any reason. not printing enough then heads clogs, printing too much, paper jam... every time they find something you have to pay.

HP Printers are rubbish, I have had 2 HP Envy 6432 AiO printers within the last year. The first one broke down 8 months and the current replacement they sent me is Rubbish. I am on the instant ink program but that is no good when I can't use it as it crashes a lot and the HP Smart App is crap too.
what is duplex scanning?
That means it scans both sides (front and back) of a paper at once.
Buy HP printer only if you want pointless issues in your life.

The REPLACEMENT printer HP sent for a defective printer was itself defective. Do NOT opt for HP. Quality not there.
OH hell no...DO NOT buy any HP products, they have worst warranty (and many times don't want to even honer them!!) they have the smallest amount of ink in their cartridges, so hat you have to buy them so much more often!,...and worst customer service!!!
