Great video!!! Heading to Spain in October so the video was very timely. Appreciate your positive attitude & your energy! 🇪🇸❤️👍🏼
Oh that's great to hear and a good time to visit Spain you will have so much fun because it is awesome country for traveling eating and drinking but you probably already know that because you travel so much and I'm glad this video was able to help you. thank you for the positive vibes
Oh yes this is AMAZING 🔥
Girona
you recognize your town!! ;)
Excellent video! Thanks.
Glad you liked it!
Thanks! You're doing a great job.
I appreciate that!. Thanks so much Bruce. Do you plan on going to Spain soon?
@@GregorBrown Keeping my options open, Gregor, but it's probably not in the near future, unfortunately. Bolivia and Paraguay are next, in October. Maybe warming up my latent Spanish while there will inspire me to get back to Spain sooner. 😉
Wow, those would be cool countries to visit. Next on my list are Norway and maybe Finland.
@@GregorBrown I thought I'd heard you mention Norway. Never been to either and am very much looking forward to your reports (and videos) on both countries.
Hey buddy, the first Norwegian video just dropped :)
Great video, only thing I would have liked is if all the names of the cities/locations you said had been displayed on the screen. I was trying to look all these places up but, as a non-spanish speaker, it was difficult to decipher the pronunciations into letters lol
Thanks for your feedback! That's a great suggestion. Sorry for the confusion, and I hope it won't deter you from exploring those beautiful locations! 🗺️✨ Try pulling up Google maps at the same time and see if you can spot the areas I'm talking about. Enjoy the adventure.
Great video! Who doesn't like tapas and beer 🍻You're right - renting a car is such a game changer, so much freedom!
Couldn't agree more!
HOT HOT Spain ❤🔥 These practical tips will no doubt help people planning to visit this beautiful city for the first time to better prepare their trip. I'm also very excited to see what kind of different Europe I'll encounter while traveling by AVE! My friend who went to college in Spain also taught me how to ride the railroad cheaply 🙂 Looking forward to my trip to Spain more and more ~ HOLA Spain ❤
Sounds like you're all set for an amazing adventure in Spain, @hereissunny66! 🇪🇸💃 I'm thrilled to hear the tips were helpful. Traveling by AVE will definitely offer you a unique view of Europe's charm. Enjoy every moment and HOLA Spain indeed! 😊🚄
Great video we will use on our next trip to Spain. I don’t found in the description the wireless Internet connection devise you recommended. Please advise. Thanks Ramon
Have fun! and thanks for the positive vibes!!!!!
@@GregorBrown where is the link for the internet connection you mentioned on your video?
thanks for reminding me. I updated the description!
@@GregorBrown thanks for the update

I'd say Madrid is a good base as you can travel by train quite easily from there, as well as domestic flights or coaches. The intercity trains are quite comfortable with entertainment/WiFi, food to purchase (or free in first class) and comfortable seats.
Every time I go back, I enjoy Madrid more and more. It's under-rated in a sense.
Just spent two weeks in Spain and went from Barcelona to Sevilla. #1 complain of mine is the Spanish attitude, shortness, and some nastiness. I had always heard about French attidude towards tourists, but I have to say Spaniards, for now, hold the #1 position.
It got so bad I wanted to leave at the end of week one. We didn't and kept going, but it took its toll on our overall mood about this trip.
(It was bad enough, I will put this opinion on any Spanish travel blog/video I see!)
Sorry to hear about the negative experiences in Spain, that can be tough. It's surprising how attitudes can vary, even in such beautiful places. Hopefully, your overall trip had some bright spots despite the challenges. If you ever decide to share your feedback on Spanish travel blogs or videos, it might help others navigate their journeys better. Wishing you smoother travels in the future!
@GregorBrown Thanks. Since I was prepared for it, the second week went smooth. I just grinned at them, shook my head, and moved on. Problem was, I was just not ready for it. I think vlogers, such as you, could prepare people for this.
Also, it was mostly in high tourist saturated areas where I came across the bad attitude. 5-10 km away, it was fine.
I still would not tell people not to visit Spain, I would just try to prepare them.
Unfortunately , a lot of that has to do with the way many tourists are nasty themselves and treat the locals. Some locals then treat all tourists the same way.
¿Y que te parece la actitud de los turistas en Mallorca, lloret de mar, sitges y el resto de costas?.
¿Con que actitud visitaste España?
If you visit the wrong cities, you might not get exactly what you were hoping for. Barcelona, in particular, has become a nightmare for both tourists and locals. On the other hand, if you head to Madrid and the smaller cities inland or the Atlantic coast, everything is much more relaxed, as there are fewer tourists.
This might be a dumb question, but what do you mean when you say an “unlocked” phone?
That is a great question and it is because some phones sold in the United States only work with a particular SIM card from that phone carrier company and if you want to use the phone with a different SIM card it is not possible
@@GregorBrown thank you!
Hello. My daughter and I will be doing a 7 day drip to Spain in the later part of August next year. We will be heading there from France via train, then heading to Portugal. We are not fans of museums and the city area but prefer hikes, waterfalls and beaches. However we also want spend at least a day in Barcelona and Madrid. What would be a good itinerary? Any assistance provided would really help. Also what would be nice is if the average cost for transport around Spain, food and entertainment could be provided in a vlog. This would help others in planning their trip. Thanks so much for reading my comment.
Hello! Your Spain trip sounds fantastic. Considering your preferences for hikes, waterfalls, and beaches, and wanting to spend a day each in Barcelona and Madrid, it might be a good idea to adjust your itinerary a bit. Both Barcelona and Madrid have a lot to offer and ideally require at least 3 days each to truly experience what they bring. You may need to replan your itinerary when visiting the other towns or perhaps skip one of the cities to fully enjoy your preferred activities.
Transport costs in Spain can vary depending on the mode of travel. I'll consider including details about average costs for transport, food, and entertainment in a future vlog, as that could indeed be helpful for others planning their trips. Thanks for the suggestion and for reaching out! Safe travels and have a wonderful trip with your daughter! 🇪🇸✈️🌊🏞️🚆
@@GregorBrown we thinking about doing 4 days in barcelona and 4 days in madrid. From here we thought about doing day trips from each area. Will this make sense?
@@GregorBrown we thinking about doing 4 days in barcelona and 4 days in madrid. From here we thought about doing day trips from each area. Will this make sense?
Absolutely, spending 4 days each in Barcelona and Madrid with day trips from these bases is a great plan. It gives you ample time to explore the richness of each city while also allowing for adventures in the surrounding areas. Plus, you get the benefit of settling into one hotel in each city, which means less time packing and more time enjoying your trip. Happy travels! 🇪🇸🏙️✈️🌍

Only thing I’d disagree with is the pulling out of cash. Large amounts just makes you a target. Everywhere accepts card now and if you’re travelling you should get an os card such as Revolut. No fees to use the card and much cheaper to take out cash - some ATMs no charge. Have saved us a ton rather than using our Australian cards :)
Thanks for the tip on using cards like Revolut in Spain - it's a great way to avoid fees and keep things secure. I always like to have a bit of cash on hand, too, just in case. Appreciate your insight! 💳🇪🇸
Do they accept digital wallets? Or vemmo PayPal?
